These are posted to show that man's works are not a part of a person's salvation. No where in them is a mention of man's works. It only mentions believing in Jesus.

John 5:24-27
24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.
26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself,
27 and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.
NKJV

John 6:34-35
34 Then they said to Him, "Lord, give us this bread always."
35 And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
NKJV

John 6:46-50
46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.
47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.
48 I am the bread of life.
49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.
NKJV

Acts 13:38-39
38 Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;
39 and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
NKJV

Romans 4:5-8
5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
7 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin."
NKJV

Romans 10:3-4
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
NKJV

Romans 10:10-13
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
NKJV

1 John 5:4-5
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.
5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
NKJV

1 John 5:9-13
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son.
10 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.
11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Thank you...

Those who believe will, and those who chose not to...will continue to confuse the free gift of God ..and our daily walk.

Position and Condition will continue to be confused.
Our works are either an expression of our love for God or they are an effort to add to the finished work.

One is a glorious gift , one is a reward for faithful service.

What do you consider to be actual belief in Jesus seeing as the demons believe and tremble?

You do what comes naturally. There is no struggle in doing what you want.

A non-Christian will want to sin, and will do so naturally according to their carnal nature.
A Christian will want to be righteous, and will do so naturally, according to their born again nature.

No works involved, just doing what your old nature, or your new nature wants depending on which you have.

1 John 3:21 "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God."

There is an assurance of salvation for all who are faithful to Christ till the end. But the flesh wants some kind of guarantee that it can do as it pleases and get away with it. A person of faith will reject this notion for what it is....the carnal mind expressing it's own desire to save itself.

Right!

1 John 3:21-24

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Oh no, you tell me what actual belief is. If I say anything you will just say it isn't true belief. As for me I totally believe, have faith in, trust in, what Jesus did for me on the cross. I have turned over my eternal life to Jesus because I BELIEVE that when He shed His blood on the cross it paid for my sins. The word of God says that is true and I believe it. You should too.

I believe that the scriptures I posted in the O.P. are true. You should too.

I believe Peter was telling born again Jews among the others to join the New Covenant. When they asked "what must we do?" It was because they believed (were already saved according to Jesus), and needed instruction. The "gift of the Holy Spirit" = life long presence of the Holy Spirit in their hearts through the word of God.

The new covenant is future to the houses of Israel and Judah.

We are under the covenant of grace currently.

The Holy Spirit dwells in the born-again spirit.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is the receiving Holy Spirit at salvation.

We are under a covenant, but not the new covenant.

You keep neglecting the clause that the new covenant is to the houses of Israel and Judah, not Gentiles, not the Church.

Nowhere is this defined as the new covenant in Hebrews. That is stipulated with the houses of Israel and Judah, which we are not.

Where are the laws the Bible says will come with this new covenant that are different from the Mosaic covenant?

In the Bible a covenant is a testament and testament a covenant.

We are not under the new covenant in Hebrews to the houses of Israel and Judah.

We are under what I call the covenant of grace.
We are as limited as we make ourselves. God is not limited except as He has granted us the choice of limiting Him. The children of Israel did and so have many people today:

"Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel." Psalm 78:41

The apostle Paul warned us about limiting God here:

"Quench not the Spirit." I Thess 5:19

Don't limit our God by trying to make Him fit into a box. We do it, but are we not missing the very best things when we do so?

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phil 4:13

Awesome verses, all! They are so well put together I might just copy and paste to my computer. I was comforted with those verses and, I know many who struggle with the "assurance" of their salvation, thanks for sharing! ♥

I believe Peter was telling born again Jews among the others to join the New Covenant. When they asked "what must we do?"

Please consider:
Acts 2:39 KJV
[39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
It says to all that are afar off... in space and time... Acts 10 confirms this by showing the way of salvation was open to gentiles:
Acts 10:1-3,44-48 KJV
[1] There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band , [2] A devout man , and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. [3] He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. [44] While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. [45] And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. [46] For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, [47] Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? [48] And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

James 2:20 KJV
[20] But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
The devil believes... will he be saved?
