Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each a distinct person, make up the one spiritual essence called God. You are trying to limit the full revelation of God in the NT by using the incomplete revelation of God in the OT. = not too scholarly.
is this too scholarly?, is not the ARM of God, God himself? yes or no.

You and the pharisees miss the true Christ giving your false OT ideas about God the precedence.
so I can take this as "Another" you cannot answer as usual? lol. Oh well. nothing new there, lol, lol.

well that's enough beating up of the trinity doctrine for today.

How can you be right and all of Christendom be wrong when Jesus says the gates of hell will not prevail against his church? That you are not prevailing against us should tell you something very sobering.

"The Father is Greater than I”, another hard question?, but answered by "Diversity", let's see.

John 14:28 "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I".

this verse have been taken out of context for way to long, and grossly misunderstood. as the word say, in all thy getting get understanding. the word, "GREATER", here in this verse is not the word GREAT, but, "GREATER", it's an Adjective, as used here, and not an Adverb, this is very important. the word GREATER is the Greek word G3187 meizon (meid'-zone) adj.
1. larger (specially, in age)
{literally or figuratively}
[irregular comparative of G3173]
KJV: elder, greater(-est), more
Root(s): G3173

Dictionary.com as an Adjective, (of a city) considered with the inclusion of the outer suburbs: Greater London. here, the definition, as an adjective, is indicating quantity, (MORE), instead of quality, (SUPERIOR). this is the key in understanding what our Lord said. quantity, (MORE), or quality, (SUPERIOR). we want to zero in on, quantity: "an exact or specified amount or measure".

in the book of Romans 12:3 it states, "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith". this verse gives us the understanding of quantity, and quality. every man is the same, (quality), no man is superior to another, so there's no rank. also as with MALES and FEMALES in the kingdom of GOD. the same Spirit is in every man/female. and every man/female is given the same amount or the same quantity of Faith.

so let's get to our answer. in John 14:12, our Lord Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father". see that word "greater" here in verse 12. it is the same word, "greater", our Lord JESUS uses in verse 28. wait a minute, is Jesus saying that men who believe is GREATER than him in power, (quality), as we been led to assume? NO. so what is the Lord Jesus really saying?. since GREATER have several meaning, depending on how you used it, in context or out of context. but let the bible explain itself, and we "Discover the true meaning of what our Lord ment, let's assume nothing. with that said, the real use of the word, in context, meaning greater, is in quantity, and not in quality. let's see why?

greater, when used as an adjective, it means, or describe "more" as in more believers to do the SAME quality of work, because it is the Lord who do the work. now the work he is doing will be a greater number, as in them/us doing the same quality of work he was doing as an individual in flesh, limited. understand, more, or greater in quantity, not in quality, is correct because he said, John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works, (there it is), than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father". there is the second answer to certify our truth in context, "because he goes to the FATHER". why is this statement so important? by going to the Father he is now glorified with the Spirit, which in turn now can be in all believers on the planet at one time doing the works. this is why our Lord told the disciple, Acts 1:4 "And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me". why wait? Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth". this is how us/them will do "GREATER" works, because he will be dwelling in us, as the Father was in him doing the works.

understand while our Lord was on earth in the flesh (the Intrinsic Spatial state), or in his "diversified" state, remember he G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') himself, hence the prophecy, Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound". he could heal only ONE PERSON at a time who he comes in contact with, (in the G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō', diversified state). but now Glorified ...... what did he say?, Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth". with the Spirit, he's everywhere, both in heaven and earth. he now dwells in us, he do the works in us. so we, who believe will do the SAME (quality) works, (by the gifts of the Spirit). now Glorified, he will be in us (quantity) doing the same quality of works because he JESUS the Spirit, the Holy Spirit dwells in us, MORE than him alone. for we're his hands and feet in the earth realm now.

Conclusion: greater here means more. greater, as in quantity, and not in quality.

PS, side note for future reference. by the Lord Jesus dwelling in us, he as our advocate, he REMAIN in us until the END, which is certified by 1 John 3:9 "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God".

JESUS, the Holy Spirit in us is that SEED, (BORN AGAIN), and with him in us he cleanseth us from all sin. this is what a Saviour, and mediator do... :)

when answering one question, reveal another for edification.... "diversity", "diversity".

Scripture says people cannot see God. “But He answered, “You cannot see My face, for no one can see Me and live.”” (Exodus 33:20) (HCSB)

But Oneness makes scripture contradict itself: “The LORD spoke with Moses face to face, just as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his assistant, the young man Joshua son of Nun, would not leave the inside of the tent.” (Exodus 33:11) (HCSB)

Jesus says no man has seen the Father. “No one has ever seen God. The One and Only Son — the One who is at the Father’s side — He has revealed Him.” (John 1:18) (HCSB)

So Moses must have been speaking to the preincarnate Son who is at the Father’s side who reveals Him.

GINOLJC, to all.
Scripture says people cannot see God. “But He answered, “You cannot see My face, for no one can see Me and live.”” (Exodus 33:20) (HCSB)
Exodus 33:20 "And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live".
true, Exodus 33:22 & 22 "And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: "And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen".

Many people don't know the difference between a "Manifestation", and a "Apperance", nor know the difference between "sin" and "iniquity". once one know these things, one will know theses scriptures.

U say... Exodus 33:9-11 "And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.10 "And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door. 11 "And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle".

did one see it?, or rather not see it/him... lol, man Oh man. how long Lord?

who did they see, or may we say what did they not see? answer, they saw "the cloudy pillar". let's make this perfectly clear. dave if you came over to my house and knock the door, and I had a screen door, when I came to the screen door without opeaning it we spoke face to face. but the screen door was in between us. get it now?. God can speak out of a burning bush and you will never "SEE" him, or speak out of a "cloudy pillar, or ... get this, he can "appear" as a man, or "Manifest" as a man... do you know the difference?... :D
or he can "appear" as a dove? now where have we seen that at before.... lol. my God, Oh well....

Jesus says no man has seen the Father. “No one has ever seen God. The One and Only Son — the One who is at the Father’s side — He has revealed Him.” (John 1:18) (HCSB)
My God if he has "REVEALED" him then the "Father" has been seen. scripture, John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:7 "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
John 14:8 "Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
John 14:9 "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

(STOP, HOLD THE PRESS. CAN ANYONE SEE THE "DIVERSITY" OF GOD IN PLAIN SIGHT HERE. JESUS JUST TOLD THEM THAT HE IS THE "FATHER". I'll speak on this later, lets contuine).

John 14:10 "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works".

now, let's examine these scriptures closely and see the conclusion.

premise #1. our Lord Jesus cannot lie ... correct...correct. listen, John 14:9b "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father". remember God is a "Spirit", so can one see a Spirit? ..... :D if so, HOW?
I cain't wait to hear that answer. so our Lord who cannot lie said, "when you see him you're seeing the Father". JESUS cannot lie.

premise #2. now if what our Lord said is true in John 14:9b, and it is, then is he the Father? I say yes, shared in flesh as the share. can we prove this by scriptures? yes. well let's see.

Exhibit A. John 14:25 & 26 "These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you".
clearly our Lord Jesus, based on premise #1, WHO CANNOT LIE, said, "The Father will "SEND" the Holy Ghost, the COMFORTER. now this,

Exhibit B. John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
HOLD IT, STOP THE PRESS. say what? "I will send?", but Lord Jesus you said, "The Father will send". I know you cannot lie, so what gives here? dave, dave, what gives here? answer NOTHING, because JESUS is the Father "diversified" in flesh as the "OFFSPRING" better known as the "Son" in this diverse state in flesh. Son is only a "title" of the Spirit. My God how hard is it to see this.

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE, you say you follow Jesus, right... right, well how come you don't believe him? I suggest you read John 14:26, and John 15:26, both 26 together, and in your own mind find out who sent the "Comforter" the Holy Spirit.

many of you are honest people. don't believe in a lie and find oneself on the same side as the Goats are on. you can read for yourselves, and you can make a decision for yourselves. don't believe what 101G say, but believe what the Lord Jesus say. and you have his word, you can hear him for yourself. "for his sheep hear his voice" but a stranger, they will flee from.

I suggest one read this section again for perfect clarity. and the whole post.

now daves last one.
So Moses must have been speaking to the preincarnate Son who is at the Father’s side who reveals Him.
ERROR, and again ERROR... lol. no, again WE say NO. Moses was speaking to God almighty the Spirit, the Great "I AM", JESUS, the "MAKER" of all things, (John 1:3), and the "CREATOR" of all things, (Isaiah 44:24), (without FLESH, without BONE, and without BLOOD) the HOLY SPIRIT. who's PERSONAL name that was not yet given until he "Manifested"/incarnate/shared himself in flesh. BINGO, that SAME JESUS, who you're untrained in the word of God, calls "Father". :p which is the TITLE of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit without a body. (John 14:18) ... ;)

this is Just too easy. but my JOB is to just tell you. after that you're on your own.

as said, the TRUTH needs no help, one can only witness to it. as my motto stated, "where there is knowledge, stay not ignorant"

You seem emotionally charged over this. The problem is that you make the Son created at the time of Mary's conception. Which means he is not God.

@101G and others, The solution is simple. All you need to do is accept what the Bible says. If the people of the OT were seeing God, the Almighty God, and Jesus said that no one has ever seen the Father (John 6:46), then they were seeing God Almighty but not the Father. It was someone else in the Godhead. I suggest that they were seeing the Word before He became incarnate. In other words, they were seeing Jesus - compare John 8:58 with Exodus 3:14 above.

first thanks for the response, second, nope.. neither worred, nor emotionally.... :D just doing my JOB, warning. my Father and Saviour, "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth", 1 Timothy 2:4, so do I. but I rest in Rev 22:11......

also he desire that all men, "to come unto the knowledge of the truth". :D so do I. but again I rest in Rev. 22:11.

and as for KNOWLEDGE, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children", Hosea 4:6. that last half of the verse I feel sorry for U and those who "reject" the TRUTH of God. but as I said, we rest in Rev 22:11.... Where does scripture directly say the Father became the Son? Or the Son became the Holy Spirit? It never mentions this meaning that your theory is a lie which also means it is of the Devil, whose main attribute is lying. And being a lie, do you think people get to heaven believing it?

@101G and others, The solution is simple. All you need to do is accept what the Bible says. If the people of the OT were seeing God, the Almighty God, and Jesus said that no one has ever seen the Father (John 6:46), then they were seeing God Almighty but not the Father. It was someone else in the Godhead. I suggest that they were seeing the Word before He became incarnate. In other words, they were seeing Jesus - compare John 8:58 with Exodus 3:14 above.

A. Philippians 2:6 "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God"

B. John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:17 "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:18 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

this is too easy.

I don't have any denominational blinders or years invested teaching error that I must account for. I can simply take scripture objectively for what it says.

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: for he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” (2 John 9–11) (KJV 1900)
Doctrine is so important...

oh you do? I must have missed that... lol.

see dave as the apostle Paul said, you're slow of learning, "ever learning but never able to come to the truth".

now, do we have proof of this? yes, with just the little we have posted, just in this topic alone, you have not grasped anything yet. so why should we believe anything different?.

U cain't even get on "first" base.... o_O

maybe, just maybe, "Diversity" is for ears to hear. this might not be for you. (smile).

The whole church has been wrong from day one until you and a few misfits the AOG kicked out in the 1940s as heretics, came along preaching "the truth"?
