There are reasons you know something. Faith does not mean you know but believe without evidence.

I have been told by Christians at this site that you can't know because it would not be faith. Which is it? The bible says without faith you can't please god, so if you know then you cannot please god.

Faith doesn't mean you don't know. Faith means you know and so believe contrary to the world's method of knowing. You cannot know by the worlds method. That doesn't mean the believer does not know.

That is what your bible says. Faith is things you hope for. It does not say things that you have evidence for.
You don't know what you're talking about. Christian faith isn't blind faith.

Then where is the evidence? Not proof just sufficient evidence to believe.

The bible says faith is things hoped for. We don't have evidence for things we hope for.

After allegedly being "Reformed," you sure don't have much knowledge. And after allegedly listening to many debates by James White, I'm highly doubting your story.

That said, tell me what White and Reformed theology teaches concerning these things that refute you and your "faith" position. Please don't google for your answers.

Don't say 'we'. Say 'you'. You don't have evidence because you don't have faith. You need to cite the whole verse. (Heb.11:1) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Our faith is the evidence for what we hope for.

Why? I am quoting the bible. The source of truth for your religion right? I have made a claim and supported it with evidence. If you want, feel free to rebut my evidence.

What does evidence of things not seen mean to you?

Our faith is the evidence for what we hope for.
This is circular.

The verse you like to try and quote rebuts you.

This is circular.

It means what it says. Our faith is from God. It is proof and evidence of things not seen that too are from God.

So?

Answer my question, prove your story and stop being evasive. Thing is you're found out.

You claimed to be this and that (and for the record, I do not buy it because of many factors including your utter lack of knowledge or relevancy). You should, according to your alleged past, have many answers to your own questions. But you have none, and I know why.

So do you.

Just admit it, you don't know because you were never Reformed, you were never "christian" and have never listened to James White debate.

What does evidence mean in that passage? It's right there staring you in the face. Can you see it?

By the way, all reasoning is circular. This "logical fallacy" is only pulled on opponents, yet all use it in argumentation. You knew this, right? Or no?

Hi Vince, how are you doing?

I'm going to throw my two cents in here, regarding evidence of God.

If the Holy Bible, and the world around you, is not sufficient proof of the existence of God for you to believe, I'm going to focus more on the future, instead of the past and present.

In the book of Revelation, God-the-Father and God-the-Son predicted the arrival of a being that will copy God-the-Father and God-the-Son, in the near future. If you are alive to see this, with a being in the form of a man, uniting the world, and displaying supernatural abilities, this "live, and in sight" evidence is "evidence of God", and people who didn't believe, will now do so, with the proof that they can see and hear (which is what they want from God nowadays, in order to believe).

If you see this, or when I should say, know that this being is an imposter, a cheap imitation of God, and is false. However, please realize, that this is "evidence of God" of God-the-Father and God-the-Son, which wrote to us in the book of Revelation around 90-95 AD to warn us about. If this event were foretold almost 2000 years ago, and occurs in your lifetime, that is proof that God exists, no?

God-the-Father and God-the-Son will still welcome you into the kingdom of Heaven up until the "mark of the beast" system is implemented that one can only "buy/sell" if you have a "mark". I pray for you (and others) that future events in reality that you can see and hear is sufficient proof of evidence of God.

In Christ Jesus.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Good post. Even the tiniest seed we might plant in our unsaved friends and loved ones (as they roll their eyes, lol) can sprout at any time. I often think of certain things I have said to my unsaved loved ones/friends/neighbors and pray that their eyes will be opened as the Holy Spirit brings these things back to their memory. And, I pray that they will live to have even that chance of salvation. :)
In Him,
nancy

Brother this has been going on for over 2000 years.

Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. But blessed are those who haven’t seen me and believe anyway.
