Faith does not mean you know but believe without evidence.
...and the above is oft spoken utter nonsense.

Faith does not mean you know but believe without evidence.
There are reasons you know something. Faith does not mean you know but believe without evidence.
I have been told by Christians at this site that you can't know because it would not be faith. Which is it? The bible says without faith you can't please god, so if you know then you cannot please god.
That is what your bible says. Faith is things you hope for. It does not say things that you have evidence for....and the above is oft spoken utter nonsense.
You don't know what you're talking about. Christian faith isn't blind faith. That is what your bible says. Faith is things you hope for. It does not say things that you have evidence for.
Then where is the evidence? Not proof just sufficient evidence to believe. You don't know what you're talking about. Christian faith isn't blind faith.
After allegedly being "Reformed," you sure don't have much knowledge. And after allegedly listening to many debates by James White, I'm highly doubting your story. Then where is the evidence? Not proof just sufficient evidence to believe.
The bible says faith is things hoped for. We don't have evidence for things we hope for.

Why? I am quoting the bible. The source of truth for your religion right? I have made a claim and supported it with evidence. If you want, feel free to rebut my evidence. After allegedly being "Reformed," you sure don't have much knowledge. And after allegedly listening to many debates by James White, I'm highly doubting your story.
That said, tell me what White and Reformed theology teaches concerning these things that refute you and your "faith" position. Please don't google for your answers.
What does evidence of things not seen mean to you?Don't say 'we'. Say 'you'. You don't have evidence because you don't have faith. You need to cite the whole verse. (Heb.11:1) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
This is circular. Our faith is the evidence for what we hope for.

What does evidence mean in that passage? It's right there staring you in the face. Can you see it?What does evidence of things not seen mean to you?
This is circular.

Hi Vince, how are you doing?
I'm going to throw my two cents in here, regarding evidence of God.
If the Holy Bible, and the world around you, is not sufficient proof of the existence of God for you to believe, I'm going to focus more on the future, instead of the past and present.
In the book of Revelation, God-the-Father and God-the-Son predicted the arrival of a being that will copy God-the-Father and God-the-Son, in the near future. If you are alive to see this, with a being in the form of a man, uniting the world, and displaying supernatural abilities, this "live, and in sight" evidence is "evidence of God", and people who didn't believe, will now do so, with the proof that they can see and hear (which is what they want from God nowadays, in order to believe).
If you see this, or when I should say, know that this being is an imposter, a cheap imitation of God, and is false. However, please realize, that this is "evidence of God" of God-the-Father and God-the-Son, which wrote to us in the book of Revelation around 90-95 AD to warn us about. If this event were foretold almost 2000 years ago, and occurs in your lifetime, that is proof that God exists, no?
God-the-Father and God-the-Son will still welcome you into the kingdom of Heaven up until the "mark of the beast" system is implemented that one can only "buy/sell" if you have a "mark". I pray for you (and others) that future events in reality that you can see and hear is sufficient proof of evidence of God.
In Christ Jesus.
Brother this has been going on for over 2000 years.
Sure not follow Russell.
So you are a Calvinist, thought so.
