I hope you are not under the impression you are keeping the Sabbath as you no longer have a physical Temple for your physical rest.
A physical Temple is not necessary to keep the Sabbath holy as Exodus 16;23-30 teaches us. This took place before any Temple or Tabernacle was built. It also takes place before the law was supposedly given. Exodus 16:4 teaches us that obedience to the Sabbath command was YHWH's test commandment to see if Israel's heart was right towards His law. I hope, for the sake of all Christians that refuse to keep the 7th day holy, that YHWH is not using the Sabbath as a test commandment today as well.
Wait, I forgot why we are having this silly conversation in the first place. My point is that Jesus is my Sabbath as I rest in Him. Come Judgment Day, believe me, it will be a physical rest.
Conversing about obedience to YHWH's commandments is certainly not "silly". Especially since it is a gauge of whether or not we truly love YHWH (1 John 5:3).
I keep the exact letter of the other nine??? Where did I say that?
I didn't say you said that. I said "I'm pretty sure" you do. Do you literally steal stuff or have sex with another man's wife or bow down to idols or lie about people or murder people ...? I sure hope not. Therefore, you keep the letter of the other nine commandments, but not the fourth.
My hope for law keeping is found in Christ who perfectly kept the law in my stead and imputes His righteousness to my account through faith in Him.
His righteousness and our faith are not a license to sin (Galatians 5:13; 1 Peter 2:16; 2 Peter 2:19; Jude 1:4). We are to obey His laws just as Yeshua did. We may not do it as well as he did. We may sin at times, but that is why we have him. We don't have him so we can break YHWH's commandments without consequences.
