In your understanding, which isn't supported by Scripture, you make it a reward.

How? You have God saving you because you loved him and chose him, so after he saw you would do this, he decided to save you. That's a reward, not a gift. That's meritorious, not grace. You've made grace something deserved by your action, erasing grace altogether. Grace is given totally underserved. You've made it deserved by what you did, THEN have God saving you BECAUSE of what you did.

Surely you're a smart man and can see the error. In your lost state you were able to do exactly nothing concerning salvation. But you say you did. That's works bro.

Identical. Both say is predestination was based on his foreknowledge. Not foreknowledge based on predestination.

Look at Romans 8:28-30, called the “golden chain of redemption”.

28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.29 For those whom He foreknew(verb, meaning He does something in foreknowing them), He also predestined to becomeconformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

Obviously He hasn’t foreknown everyone. He knows everyone, meaning He is omniscient. But to foreknow someone is to do something in foreknowing them...ergo the verb.

It does not say he predestined them to love him.

Romans 12:2 says to be not conformed to the world. So we are not to be conformed to everybody without exception, even the saved?

The world was made through Him is one time I believe world means everybody without exception.

Again, He did not base His electing of the lost on ANYTHING they would do. He did not look down the corridors of time to see who would love Him and elect them accordingly.

We are in a familial relationship which has nothing to do with being rescued from sin, or the Gospel. You have the cart before the horse.

So, I see your error, you have yourself acting saved while you were dead in sin, an impossibility, which is why you turn grace into merit. You've confused the issue and have erred.

Now, show us from Scripture your theory. You've yet to do so. So far you've told us something is in Romans 8 that is not there.

Seeing only those who have been born of Him love Him[1 John 4:7], yes it does say it.

Prove your belief with Scripture how you merited grace, something that cannot and is not given due to anything a person does.

I am trying to stay consistent to the scriptures as world does not mean all whoever lived in every instance. I am not deliberately or unintentionally trying to redefine anything.

Look at vs 6. Is everybody whoever lived bearing fruit and increasing? No. Not even everyone who was alive at that time had heard the gospel.
