But asking that person "are you following the Truth or counterfit" is not a productive question.
Instead, we should ask God "what is your Truth and how may I best follow it?"
But, by their fruit ye shall know them.

I watched the video and it didn't click with me.
For the last hour I have asked myself why.

I find that while what he is doing " seems good, and seems right" from the christians point of view....yet I found not one scrap of anointing on anything he said.

Having been in evangelism for many years when in my 30 and 40's ..
I learned that just thinking- " I will go out to the park and talk to people about Jesus. " I'd come home with no 'fruit'. Why?
Because it was MY idea, not God's.

But when I /we heard the Lord nudge me to go alone to such and such place and share the word...the person was there, the words flowed...and people responded.

This man had no positive response , he was 'on his own' as it were...the anointing ( God's confirmation) was missing. The arrows fell to the ground.

It has bothered me since I first watched it...so I have been asking the Lord 'why?'

None of us are Wesleys , Surgeons, or Wigglesworths ...but when they opened their mouth in a room, in a church or as Wesley , out in an open field with thousands , people were changed by the anointed word, not 'by them'.

I would not bring a new convert into a modern church setting...because of fear that they would become worse than they were before. No, it's the church that needs to hear the gospel and the power over sin. Such is the state of affairs.

100% right there!
Totally agree to that...

And if you pay attention to his declarations you understand why I call him Gnostic

I'm aware of that mindset "God approves of and endorses everything I do and think"

I used to be like that when I was younger.

I used to be like that when I was younger.

But you all grew out of it.

Fortunately I never had that mindset.

Now I've been at an age for a long time now where I recognize that is foolish thinking.

Like one person we knew. They thought they were irreplaceable to a business they have worked at their whole life.

But when she retired she was replaced and the business kept going.

When a Roman general return from a successful campaign he was given a parade with a victors crown on his head. But a slave road on the chariot with him, whispering in his ear that all fame was fleeting.

Today's physicians are mostly quacks, and people love it so.

I think that many begin by trying to make a difference....but the way a child would interfere with open heart surgery. As they say...the road to hell is paved with good intentions. What is unknown of many of today's ministers is often greater than what they think they are teaching.

Where do you fit yourself into this scheme.

Yes, but we may not see all the fruits a person has.
And never downplay the importance of looking upward and conversing with God about His Truth.
The truth is recorded in the Scripture of truth. And, if we abide in the truth, then Jesus' fruit will be clear for all to see in our lives. If any other fruit has grown, then we know Jesus is not the root of that tree because a good tree does not bear bad fruit.

I think you wand I are talking about two different subjects here. My original point was that all Truth should be preached in love and charity, else we become tinkling cymbals. This came up because easy majority of street preachers, well frankly most street preachers spend majority their time standing on soapboxes and tinkling, more often than not driving folks away from Christ.

And then the conversation seems to have meander in other directions, with you and I talking about different subjects.

Have you noticed that there are many people who use the modern versions that do not include the rest of Romans 8:1, the 'condition,' and believe that all they need to do is believe in Jesus, and they can sin up a storm and still be saved?

Have you not yet understood?
Sin is Against God.
A Converted man Has God WiTH him, and a Converted man Sins NO MORE, by the Power of God.

So, no. Belief is a beginning. Conversion is the Gift. And Sinning No More is the Result. And a Saved soul, Quickened spirit and Glorified body is the Reward.

Glory to God,

In this video, a street preacher declares what is written: whoever continues in sin will die.

I wonder how many people who wake up in the resurrection of the damned with this as the last sermon they ever heard will plead with God for mercy...only to be shown how they laughed and mocked at God's pleading for them to turn to Him through this street sermon.

Curious, what do you mean wake up?

I wonder how many people he chased from God that day.
I wonder how many false prophets tomorrow will stand in pulpits and preach "smooth sayings" to lost people in church who think they'll be leading the parade when the saints go marching in - the smoothest saying of all being, "You can cling to both your sin and the promise of eternal life too."

Nothin new under the sun, according to Ezekiel 13:22 KJV: "...and ye have strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not turn from his evil way, by promising him life." That's what countless preachers do: promise lost church people eternal life while strengthening their hands to keep on sinning.

"Sleep" is a euphemism for "death", such as in Daniel 12:2. The righteous awake in the "resurrection of the just" and the wicked the "resurrection of the damned" a thousand years later.

In this video, a street preacher declares what is written: whoever continues in sin will die.

He's preaching in "Jackson Square", just one block away from perhaps the most famous Catholic church in the South, the "St. Louis Cathedral". The Catholic church presence in New Orleans is such a joke, not only refusing to condemn sin, but promotes, condones and covers it up from sight. NOLA is a cesspool of debauchery which got the name "The Big Easy" over a hundred years ago when it became well known to the rest of the nation that if you wanna indulge the most debased passions of the soul, New Orleans is the place to do it because the authorities there, both civil and Catholic, are all too willing to turn a blind eye as long as you've got the money to spend down there.

So you're talking about physical death.
Yes. Since the concept of "consciousness in death" is foreign to the Bible, the very next thought a person who dies will have happens at the either the sound of Jesus calling them forth from the grave to their Second Life at His Second Coming or the sound of His voice calling them up after the thousand years to their Second Life, where they will face judgement and then the Second Death, from which there will be no resurrection.
