Dear Friends and others,

I want to thank you for letting me come to your forums. This has taken a long time to write and think about and I am sure everyone has written something like this before and might has reconsidered after they did. I just don't feel like I have anything in common with anyone here. People here are Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone) and I am not, a majority of People for the most part seem not to like any Church and I am pro Church, I believe that Baptism is necessary for Salvation (Acts 2:38; 22:16; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 3:21), I believe in the authority of the Church and that the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Tim 3:15) . I am a Traditional Liturgical Christian, most here are not. I believe in the Real Presence in the Bread and Wine, I believe in asking the Saints in Heaven for prayer as I ask you all for prayer sometimes. I believe in all the bells and whistles in the Church. There seems to be no mods or admins to get the worst offenders and they don't seem to care.

That is the main reason I feel that I really can not identify with most here and this place can bring out the worst in me for some reason. Since I am going to start seminary soon for the diaconate and the Priest hood if God wills than it is better if I left here.

I have mixed feelings about my time here, I want to say thank you for my time here and yet I am not sure either. I will stay through Easter and then delete my watch threads and all that. I felt like I should explain myself and not just abruptly disappear.

Blessings in Christ, historyb. I thought Stranger's post was especially insightful. The good thing about this site is there is not a lot of teaming up going on here because A. It's a smaller forum to begin with, and B. The membership is very diversified. There seems to be a stronger Calvinist presence lately, but even that can't be said to wield any dominance over the community. But I have some that I agree with here on eschatology (for the most part, anyway), whereas I have others I agree with on Pentecostalism, and others still that I can discuss scholarship with.

I know you are Episcopalian, but you have quite a lot in common with the Catholics here (NOT that I am knocking you for that). The Catholics are not dominant either, but they certainly have a presence here. OzSpen, Aspen, and MaryMog all still post here on and off.

Maybe seek out a place where you will find more encouragement for your own beliefs, but pop in from time to time to join in the discussions here that especially interest you.

Oh I agree. I was just addressing that he didn't think the mods or admins cared. I dont think that at all. I think this site is just run a bit different. I have mixed feelings about it. There has to be a good balance of grace and justice for any ministry to truly thrive. Modding is definitely a job I don't miss. I just felt like a bad guy all the time on CF.

And see Id be a troll right now taking over history's thread. Haha. I'd be banned for 150 years.

In the name of the holy Scripture we do understand those Canonical Books of the Old and New Testament, of whose authority was never any doubt in the Church.

So you are essentially a Roman Catholic, not an Anglican/Episcopalian.

Everything you stated about your beliefs was confirmation that you are a Catholic. So now you take offense by being identified as a Catholic? Amazing.

As to staying, almost the entire gamut of Christian beliefs is represented here. So you can either support your beliefs strictly with Scripture, or you can continue to be deceived by the Catholic Church (or whatever group you identify with). Every church's and every denominations doctrines and practices must be examined in the light of Scripture.

Why couldn't you have written that in a polite way and not such in a harsh way. Sometimes I think your posts are so good...and sometimes I look for any redemptivness in your posts, or Father Heart...and don't see it!!

I am not Episcopalian USA. I am Charismatic Episcopalian. Honesty learn already. We do believe in the Real Presence but do not say how it happens like the Catholics do. We believe in the cloud of witness as in Hebrews. We believe in the primacy of Scripture but not Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone). We believe in the Charismatic gifts. There are more too so do some research before assuming.

I could say you are a fundamental extremest. Would that be right to assume?

What we believe is not under the microscope here..(only with the legalists.)

Our fellowship is held in WHO we believe in brother. In Him we are One in His Body no matter what others say. Some will leave the SDA outside, and the Catholics, and the LDS there are always those who try to draw lines.
etc etc... Just ignore those who pick and prod and question.

Obviously they consider themselves free from any errors... and we know what Jesus said about those who set themselves up above others.

Id like to see you stop being on the defensive about what you believe, if they had their way on this Site, all those who don't believe 'like them' would be driven off the Forum as 'unclean' ...but that is not how Jesus conducted Himself..in his day "they" the religious we mad at him because of who he visited with.
And just interact with the discussion threads. :)
