The marriage bond is like no other though, is it? Though likened to Christ and His Church, thereby elevating it yet further, don't you think? :)

'Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Ok, um...wadr is short for "with all due respect" btw, but as for the rest, I'm gonna have to ask you to like break your training, our training, i guess, and contemplate that "Church" is not incorporated as a business entity, even though that is what we have been taught to believe? "Church" is made of living stones according to the Book, right, so ppl just like come up with an interpretation of the Bible for "Saved" and then more or less join a gang, "Methodist" or Baptist or Whatever, "church-shopping," until they find the one that basically tickles their ears the best, and they decide that that is "church" and everyone else is "not church," more or less, yes?

And these are Corporations, see, Business Entities, that have struck a bidness deal with the government, and fwiw you could be set up as a "church" corporation in about a week, Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster Certificates of Ordination , that one is "church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster," dunno why ipad insists on capitalizing that, sorry, but the point is that we have virtually changed the def of "Church" to "Corporation" now, when a prolly better pov is that the real Church is all the many (few there are who find it) ppl um sprinkled in among all those Entities, and more likely those who have come out of her, my ppl and left the camp like the Book says to do, in all those parts of "the Word" (which the Book is not and never will be, ok) that they prefer not to address. Ha ya that helped right, lol. Sorry. Maybe @amadeus will interpret for you if this is not so clear. Church can really only be seen with one eye, can't be seen with two eyes tho.

Thanks for explaining, I don't go to church anymore, all Christians are my brothers, I don't consider their "churches" the wrong ones, I simply believe in Christ as the son of God our Savior and Lord, solitude is my church where I speak to God and Christ with no distractions, or I can be amongst many and still be in solitude and speak to the Lord.

It's sad anyone can get "ordained" licensed to marry anyone, I never knew that until my coworker gut married a couple of months ago and told me my manager got ordained just to marry his son I believe and so he married my coworker who is a spoiled young man and doesn't believe in God or Christ, and funny enough his father is a Quaker.

So there you go, ok, understand and believe the evidence right in front of your left eye :)

Not really talking about what we call marriage at all, believe it or not. Great mystery that has not even been touched upon in that post, wadr. I don't mean to be offensive there, but that is strictly a great Two Eyes interp. I would shred it like i used to do but that only seems to make it worse i guess. You might find out how to pluck out your right eye, what that means, and toss it from you. Why the right eye, and not the left, why pluck it out? Why toss it? Etc. What does "manna" mean?

Was not Manna the food God sent from heaven to sustain the Exodus?

well, yes, but not literal food, spiritual food.

One interp of "what is it?" will lead to one understanding, and the other interp will lead to the spiritual understanding. We all start out um "believing" that manna was called what is it? because they literally saw stuff laying on the ground with their two eyes and did not know what it was, right. Just like we all start out believing Santa Claus comes down the chimney and brings us presents, no diff whatsoever believe it or not. The second is even a symptom of the first. This is not a sin per se, ok, until a certain point anyway.

that is where we all start, nothing wrong with that at all i guess. We start out Reading of a literal Exodus from Egypt, and then we either stay there, Stand There, or learn what those elements represent spiritually, revealed in the Book elsewhere. "Exodus" is pretty self-explanatory right, Egypt becomes Javan which all you gotta do is ask google "Javan etymology" to get that one, and away you go! Test everything, and keep the good stuff, like Paul says imo. Cross the sea of reeds.

Fwiw i would stop Reading the Bible in English without at least a Lexicon so you can detect the scribal changes, today tho. Peace

Ah, well, you are not alone, yes, i am talking in riddles but i am not meaning to. For that one what i meant was that you have already discerned from the evidence right in front of your left eye, your eyes say, that official certificated marriages (and by extension certificates period, but nevermind that for now lol) can be performed by any um actor who wishes to do so, right?

Iow you have tested that, and now you kinda have a decision to make, what's it gonna be? Are you married? Are you going to go annul your certificated marriage today? Assuming you are, and are not, why not?

So again, see, you don't "go to church" anymore, but that is still the def of "Church" in your mind, yes? It is very hard to overcome a lifetime of programming when everyone else around you defines things in a certain way, huh? Imo understand that we are raised to reason "logically," and now reasoning "naively" is foreign to us, so foreign that i tell you many logical thinkers simply refuse to believe that there is any other way to reason! Can you imagine the point of say playing a baseball game to a deliberate tie? Madness, yes?

See "solitude is my church" now, rather than...well, don't wanna go there yet, but don't forsake gathering together with people imo, ok? And fwiw they don't have to be ppl who agree with everything you believe, either. I give Stranger hell for instance but i would be compelled to choose him as my vp lol, or someone like him. We need ppl who disagree with us, but we seek to put our ship in a harbor and basically cloister, right.

With ppl who believe ezackly like we do? Who fwiw do not even exist lol, no one believes ezackly like you and no one ever will, and there is no judgement for beliefs anyway, like we are taught. It's crap.

That's me... or at least I was when I performed my one and only funeral service. I have never conducted a wedding but then again I've never been ordained by any man or men either...

If you dig a pit for others, you end up in it yourself JP, right. Most ppl that you deem "Christians" are actually Mithraists, ok, and you can even search "Mithraism and Christianity" for more on that, but it should be patently obvious, esp if you are an "American," with the Mercury, and the Apollo, and the District of Columbia, and Liberte in the harbor and all that?
