when we die we enter into a eternal state. eternal life or eternal hell.

5 Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.
And don't know Gehinnom and Paradise are.

Some fell asleep in the Old Testament era. This is nothing new.
Are you saying that those who have eternal life exist in a state where they have no remembrance of God?
read your Bible there is NO NONE SALVATION AFTER DEATH . where you got this myth from i have no idea

don't mean to interrupt your conversation but where is that in the bible. I know there is not remembance, for the dead knows nothing. but there is no "SALVATION" after death? please post scripture for that.

For some of the "walking dead", there is also no remembrance of God. What do the "walking dead" know?

john 3:3 you cant be born again if YOUR DEAD ! one good thing on internet forums you be the incredible hulk. you can pretend to be a expert theologian . if you 2 are serious on your silly question can we be saved after death . which the answer is NO , but if you want to cling to these false teaching .be it far from me to try to change your mind...... other than the false teaching of purgatory there is no 2nd chance of salvation . it is written why seek ye the living among the dead.. your theology needs embalmed it stinks

PS I'm headding to church, but we can pick this up latter.
if your heading to church and holding to the belief you can b saved after you die physically all brain activity stops completely. i would hope your church does not teach this . this is far as i will continue after we die then the judgment. there is no 2nd chance salvation after death . if you hold to that your either mormon or catholic .
john 3:16-17 baptism follows salvation actually its Christ then baptism.. you cant baptize a dead body < sigh some are still dead in sin and baptized>
That is no answer. Still waiting then for Scripture that says people are saved before they die.

well before we get to the white throne Judgment, one need to backup to Pentecost, and the OUT POURING of the Spirit which is LIFE, for the Lord Jesus spoke it, John 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
I'm neither, second, I believe in the resurrection, just as the OT saints did also, Job 19:25-27 "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:" 26 "And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:" (ezra you might want to read that again). 27 "Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me."

a lost person who dis without Christ has absolutely no hope for eternal life after they die . so if you think your playing mind games you can find another poster. i will gladly block. john 11: 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies. 26 And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”… this is a promise for those who are truly saved before they die ==ETERNAL LIFE leave this world with out being saved===ETERNAL DAMNATION . so i suggest you make your point very clear . if you believe that there is eternal life for those who die without Christ you are wrong...Similar threads
