Good one...and totally agree. I had a vivid on e in 1981...
I can remember the others, but that one very long and detailed dream I can close my eyes and see it all again...39 years later! Seem like only yesterday...the very scary thing is I don't have 39 year of road ahead of my...10 at the most...just imagine how quickly THAT time is going to fly by ! Yikes ...

He gave grace to live by, I firmly believe He will also give grace to die by.
:)

I don't know about you, but at the rate my body is deteriorating, I'll be looking forward to no more pain! LOL I'm 72 and already I'm giving my stuff away.

Most of the time my dreams are from pizza.

LoL. Then I count myself blessed, cuz I eat pizzas all the time and all that happens to me is I gain weight.

to the point that all my prayers are answered.

in a funk so probably shouldn’t say this but. I would believe you but I’m left wondering exactly how many times you have to tell everyone God answers all your prayers. Every single one you state, more times than I can count. The problem is me no doubt, but it is becoming redundant. If it were praising Him and His goodness that I could join in but it is the constant vouching for CharismaticLady. To the point of whenever in a disagreement it becomes a weapon of “does God answer your prayers a hundred percent of the time?” ...probably don’t believe you because, No, God does not answer all my prayers. Some of my prayers are pretty selfish.

I repeat it so often so others will ask themselves if they receive what they ask for, and if not, what do they need to do to pray according to His will. People claim they are a Christian, or that they are saved, but no one says anything derogatory to their claim. Answered prayer is the sign that you ARE saved. So if I say my prayers are answered, I am saying I abide in Christ and am saved. Read 1 John 3:21-24. I also repeat it because answered prayer is not taught in the Church, at least, what I've heard is the unscriptural nonsense that sometimes the answer is "No."

V, my greatest heartbreak is that so few people who claim to be Christians are actually saved. My calling is not to the unsaved in the world, but to the unsaved inside the Church!

Have faith also in 1 John 3:21-24 but isn’t answered prayer according to the Spirit and not the flesh. Christ prayed according to the will of the Father in going to the cross in “Not my will, but Father Your will be done.” To pray for God’s will to be done...Mary would have prayed the same prayer for her Son. How can our prayers always align with God’s ...all the time...when the flesh wants so hard to not suffer any loss?

Absolutely. Thank you for asking. Most people just think I'm lying, and don't believe the promises in scripture if it doesn't happen for them. That is why I just wrote you a private email of the key to receiving answered prayer. It is all God. Not my will at all. I try not to cast pearls that will be mocked and trampled underfoot by unbelievers

Ummm... my sister, I don't mean to start a fight here, but I would reconsider this one if I were you. Use of the definite article here is making this an exclusive sign of salvation, and I see nowhere in scripture that defines answered prayer as the identifying factor in whether a person is saved or not. We receive the things we ask for because we do those things that are pleasing in His sight, yes, and because we pray according to His will. But using this as the sole identifier sets up a terribly unreliable way of determining if one is saved or not. It presupposes a truly born again person can never, under any circumstances, pray anything amiss or out of God's will.

Not sure you will find many like that around. All come to Him as children, and despite being children of God they make mistakes.

No, that is the error in the prosperity movement, praying your own will - name it and claim it. But I can see how you can come to that conclusion by my claim. No, it is called "waiting on the Lord."

Wait for what? What He tells you to pray (a rhema). But to hear His voice, you must be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Do you have any idea how many people claim to be a Christian (using Christ as their ticket to go to heaven) but do not follow Him (and He says, "I never knew you")?

John 15:7
7 If you abide in Me, and My words (rhemas) abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

When you "ask what you desire" it is not your will, your carnal desires, it is the words of the rhema, the specific spoken word directly to you.

1 John 3:
18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. 24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

There are many in another group called the OSAS group who have a false assurance. The above is the only true assurance.

This right here is a more sure means of judging ourselves where salvation is concerned.
John 15:7
7 If you abide in Me, and My words (rhemas) abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

This however is not. This goes back to the debate I was having with someone recently about whether a believer abides in Christ at all times, or if this is something - a state - that he (or she) can enter into but also walk out of. Too long of a debate to get back into, but I would simply argue here that James was writing to believers. In James 1:2 he states, "My brothers, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations...," yet he speaks to these same people in Chapter 4 when he says, "From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." (James 4:2-4).

So you see there is such a thing in Scripture as believers praying amiss, and not getting their prayers answered because they are praying not according to His will. Doesn't mean they are not saved. It means they are very badly in the flesh, and need to snap out of it, because they are committing a type of spiritual adultery in desiring the things of the world rather than the things of God.

So do you think those carnal "Christians" will go to heaven? Can you keep failing the temptations and tests and trials that are for building your faith?

I think we are all on a journey from being born again as spiritual children to maturing into spiritual adults. I think nearly all Christians are carnal when they first come to Christ, hence the deplorable state that a lot of the New Testament congregations were in. But grace is there, helping us in our weakness. If carnal Christians were not saved, you would have Paul and the other NT writers writing to a whole LOT of unsaved people.

See, by your criterion concerning (un)answered prayer, I myself would not be saved. I pray a great deal for certain things that are not easy to obtain from God, and require one to grow to the place of becoming trustworthy enough to receive them; powerful supernatural gifts that would confirm the word with signs and wonders following.

Do I receive my prayers answered? Not those ones, or not yet anyway, and it may be quite some time until I do. Am I praying outside the will of God? No, I don't think I am at all. But what I am praying for may be a LONG ways off from my finally receiving them.

This is another reason why I think the hypothesis is inaccurate.

Exactly. In 1 Corinthians Paul calls them babes in Christ and carnal. It is a reprimand. But in 2 Corinthians 7 look what the result was. Salvation!

8 For even if I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it. For I perceive that the same epistle made you sorry, though only for a while. 9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation

So is a carnal Christian saved? No, they are on the path to being saved.

It is not MY criteria. Is the problem that you can't hear God's voice?

No, not at all. The problem is as I told you. One must become trustworthy to receive certain things from God. I have not yet reached the place where I can say as the apostle Paul did, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." There are times when this is the case, but still times when not every word I speak is God-breathed; not every action I take is God-directed. The problem is not with hearing Him. The problem is with not having reached the place where I am abiding in the Presence of God at all times, and Christ is speaking and acting through me without fail.

The problem is that you are negating grace. Certainly we must grow in obedience. A refusal to continue doing so is indeed what will do a believer in. But in our state of growing towards greater obedience, our sins are covered in Christ. So long as we continue walking the path, that path will lead to salvation. It is when we willfully elect not to anymore that we are in trouble.

If you are mostly abiding in Jesus, then He will prune those areas of poor fruit off of you. But start waiting on God and tell Him you only want His will in your life. Then listen. If you have a habit of praying amiss, then stop praying your own will, and start praising God instead. And thank Him all day long whenever you see anything "good."

How am I negating grace? We must have different definitions of what grace is.

I didn't say I was praying amiss, LoL. I said I was praying for things that are difficult to receive, and that God doesn't just give to anyone, let alone the carnal.

What gifts are you seeking? And what is the true motive for wanting these particular gifts. What gifts do you already have, or experienced, even once?

Before coming to Christ, grace was unmerited favor, for He died for us while we were yet sinners. Get that? Yet sinners? After repentance we received the gift of the Holy Spirit that turns grace into the power of God to no longer be a slave to sin.

That's the problem with carnal Christians though. They believe they are still sinners and only have unmerited favor. But as John 8:32-36 says, the truth shall set you free. Truth breeds faith.
