Being born again is an individual consideration The OP is the effect of Islam on all of Christendom....and that includes BAC's...because these are still human and are not evolved so often to the point of discerning the forces that affect the world...or even themselves in most cases. So you are trying to find a distinction or exemption based on being born again...to make that a bigger deal than it is, IMHO. I say that because either people are not really born again...or they are stuck and deceived like everyone else because of a lack of instruction. (My people perish for lack of knowledge)
OK, so this clears up one question for me, you then are speaking of all who identify as Christian, and not only those who have been born again.
To be clear, I personally don't think there is a more important distinction in all humanity in the current age than that some are reborn and the others are not. Some live only in the fallen Adamic life, while others have been reborn with God's nature.
But in saying that the militancy and totalitarianism of Islam has infected Christendom, I wouldn't have an argument with that, only, I don't think we need Islam for the unsaved among us to want to force their standards on others. As I see it people naturally do that, and like to position themselves above others in all sorts of ways.
BTW . . . I wouldn't say "I'm trying to find a distinction . . ." as if I want to make the Bible say a certain thing. In reality, I see a distinction in Scripture between those who are born again and those who are not.
But to be sure, many are deceived, and think that a relationship with God is something very different from what it really is meant to be.
Let me ask you this if I may.
What does it mean to you to "enter the kingdom of God"?
Much love!
