Ron Hubbard said that often the solution to one problem creates a new problem. And that is the way the world has been designed to work... Thesis versus antithesis results in synthesis.
Right versus left
Democrat versus Republican
Conservative versus liberal
Capitalism versus socialism
Etc etc etc.... Then out of chaos comes order... Synthesis... And the whole world wonders after the beast.
Yes, and I think that's connected with hopes and fears. If you can scare people and then convince them you know how to protect them, they'll vote for you. Sometimes they'll vote for you irrationally even out of hope that's based on nothing. Obama's slogan was "Hope and change." I asked myself hope for what? What's he want to change? The slogan made no sense to me, but I think it helped get him elected.Indoctrination and propaganda?

Brakelite, are those four children on your posts your own children? If they are you are a very blessed man indeed.I have come to the conclusion that it becomes very easy for the extreme left to self justify when they refuse to listen to counter arguments, referring to them as hate speech... Phobic... Etc etc.
I see the same tactic being carried out throughout religious history, only instead of the above triggering words, we use the term heresy... And still revert to our own safe place of personal and/or corporate infallibility and trusting in the fruits of religious malfeasance rather than investigation and transparent openness to God's revelation.

I have no TV that can be watched. I found so much of it trash, first I canceled cable. About a year later, I turned on Public Broadcasting and got a very boring show. When the new gadgets came out to switch over to some new broadcasting system, I didn't bother. I have a TV I found stashed somewhere just this week -- it's now in my living room waiting to be taken for recycling. You're not missing much. They all have their slogans and talking points to tickle the ears of their base. This world is so very corrupt, I no longer believe anything they say. So glad I do not watch TV!
Maybe, maybe not. It's like people revolting and overthrowing a government. Sometimes the new government is worse than the old one. I wasn't impressed by how Morrison went on vacation. Even worse was the fact that his office denied at first he was on vacation. I don't understand why they'd lie about it.The time came when people said enough is enough and began their fightback by electing men into leadership who were not captive to political correctness and the lamestream media. One can say that the truth about the bushfires in Australia is coming out because people are beginning to tell the truth that is not fettered by political correctness.
Thankyou brother, they are 4 of my 13 grandchildren.Brakelite, are those four children on your posts your own children? If they are you are a very blessed man indeed.
Same tactics against Morrison as are being used against Trump. Scream the house down and don't let truth spoil the story. In my studies at University for my Social Science degree, I was as told that in most societies there are 10% dominant left and 10% dominant right and the 80% in between follow whoever is in the seat of power. Until Trump, Morrison, and Johnson the governments have been run by lefties who were devoted to political correctness. They have been aided by a lamestream media that is fiercely anti-God and righteousness.

None left commentators in the media in Australia have said that the relentless attack on Morrison has been because the left is angry that their preferred candidate Bill Shorten who was going to submit government to the whims of homosexuals and unionists was rejected by the voters so they are doing their best to bring him down. Their relentless attacks are mainly made up of fables and lies but who cares as long as they dethrone him.
If these three men can stay the course and the voters put them back into government again, it will take a long time for the left loonies to regain the traction they had in society. I admit that these men are not perfect, but neither was David or Solomon but God still chose them to reign. These men are the men for the hour so let us be thankful that we are not subject to a government that puts homosexuals in the seat of power as the alternatives intended to do.
Please note however that Morrison is a Christian; a man that has only been married once; a man that is married and has two children of their own making and has kept his marriage vows and is a formidable politician. With a righteous man like that in charge and I might add, a Jew as Treasurer, how good is that to coin a Morrison phrase.

Australian PM cuts vacation in Hawaii short as country deals with deadly wildfires
Australia’s prime minister is cutting his vacation in Hawaii short after receiving heavy criticism for being away as New South Wales deals with raging fires that have killed two firefighters.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s office originally denied that he was in Hawaii, but on Thursday, he confirmed in a radio interview that he was indeed in the islands.
After the firefighters’ deaths were announced, Morrison issued a statement that said he would return to Australia as soon as possible.
The Guardian had a story about it with more details about the denials.

I'll be frank with you. You use some slanted language yourself, giving me the impression you have some partisan biases of your own.Let me put things into perspective for you. The lamestream media would have loved to know where he was holidaying so they could follow him and take all sorts of photos with their own spin on them which invariably would be lies. I asked myself why he would go overseas for a holiday when Australia is replete with wonderful holiday spots.
The answer is very simple. Going overseas and keeping it secret is the only way he could guarantee having a holiday without the intrusion of the paparazzi. He was protecting his children which as a father he had every right to do and should do. When I lived in the UK, members of the Royal Family did their best to have holidays without intrusion, and when they went overseas, chances were that even then the paparazzi found them and intruded on their privacy.
A senior Labor politician who is now retired and a political commentator asked why he should not go on holiday. Everyone else did. And he pointed out that nothing had been said about the Labor leadership going on holiday at the same time. Obviously the saying "All hands on deck" means nothing to the lamestream media. The fact is whatever the PM does, the lamestream media will criticise him because they hate the fact that he defeated their poster boy at the last election.
Interestingly the one paper in Australia that speaks as they find and are not driven by a left-wing agenda, never wrote up the holiday as a disaster. They asked a very pertinent question "If he was not on holiday, What was he going to do that would add to the rescue operations?" The answer was nothing as he is not a trained firefighter, the trained firefighters were out in force fighting the fires, the water bombers were operating all over the place (we have 46 of them and he is going to order some more) which incidentally he could have done with a phone call from his holiday home and he has committed $2 billion to help people affected by bush fires to recover. Again he could have done that from his holiday with a phone call.
It is also interesting to note that a former Liberal PM who is a trained firefighter has been out helping quell the flames. Interesting to note that the lamestream media has not said one single thing about that.
So, when you look into all the FACTS, it is a beat up by the people that are committed to bringing down a Liberal government that they hate. It has nothing at all to do with care and compassion for those suffering from the bush fires.
And one final question. What did he do when he did arrive home from his holiday. Virtually nothing apart from visiting fire-ravaged areas to give a bit of encouragement and support to those who have lost all and to and to face people brought in by the lamestream media to insult him and belittle him and who did not live in the fire-ravaged area.
How do we know that? The locals spilled the beans and said they did not live in the village. They were strangers. As you know, in small villages, everyone knows everyone.
As for the Guardian being a source of news. What a joke. I read it for a year and gave up because it was patently obvious that the truth was a very loose thing as far as they were concerned.
I know that people like to get exercise jumping to conclusions, but do try and avoid doing this with news from other countries that you do not live in. I certainly do this when reading news about America so please give us the same courtesy.
Just beat me to it. I have 11 grandchildren and number 12 is on the way. If I had known what fun they would be I would have had them first.Thankyou brother, they are 4 of my 13 grandchildren.
I don't know what slanted language means. Most of the time, my computer types upright letters.I'll be frank with you. You use some slanted language yourself, giving me the impression you have some partisan biases of your own.
If the climate change issue due to mans involvement is objectively real I don't see any significant moves globally to reign in its stated cause.
Belief in it whether real or no however, can be a catalyst to pass laws yet unheard of with the agenda of justifying more control.
It means bias or spin. The phrase "lamestream media" told me a lot more about you than it did about Scott Morrison's vacation. Your dismissal of the Guardian as a joke also didn't tell me a thing about his vacation but told me more about your biases. The Guardian? If I read conflicting reports from different news sources, sometimes I check to see if the Guardian has a story since I see it as usually very fair. What I see you doing is dismissing a publication that has stories you wish hadn't been written.I don't know what slanted language means. Most of the time, my computer types upright letters.
Oh, I understood that point from the first. That didn't confuse me. He figured he could handle things as well from Hawaii and from his usual office. I agree if we're talking about giving directions to government workers. And one final question. What did he do when he did arrive home from his holiday. Does that explain it? It is very probably the truth that he wanted to relax with his family and wanted them to be able to relax too. Why didn't his office say that and let things go at that? Why not tell the truth and say, "That's all we have to say about it." They didn't do that. They lied about it. I doubt that Morrison ordered anyone to lie, but they did lie. You avoided seeing that, instead you focused on attacking the news media who reported on it.Let me put things into perspective for you. well, there you have mans primary M.O.There is a line of thought that says the climate change religion has two main objectives. Make as much money as they can out of it and to take control of people and nations.
Number 12 has just arrived. Another girl. That makes ten of them.Just beat me to it. I have 11 grandchildren and number 12 is on the way. If I had known what fun they would be I would have had them first.

So why did he apologize? He made a big mistake. He did not understand that part of is job is emotional. He's like a father figure to people; and what would you think of a parent who didn't visit a child in the hospital saying, "There's nothing I can help the doctors with." That told me Morrison is probably too intellectual in approach and doesn't understand the emotional connections. Most leaders do understand the emotions involved. He did not, and people felt betrayed.
Does that explain it? It is very probably the truth that he wanted to relax with his family and wanted them to be able to relax too. Why didn't his office say that and let things go at that? I doubt if Morrison is savvy enough to run the country. He also picked someone to be a spokesman for him who messed up by telling lies that could easily be shown to be untrue. If you're going to lie in politics, at least be clever enough not to tell stupid lies where it's easy to get caught. Why would Morrison pick someone like that -- someone who lied thinking he was helping Morrison out when really what he was doing was making things a lot worse?
It's obvious to me. You like Morrison and are ready to attack or dismiss any news stories that portray him in a non-flattering light. You see him in a certain way and want to believe he really is that way. Any accounts that show him differently have to be because of "lamestream media" bias in your mind.
A similar situation exists here in the USA. Trump supporters don't believe news stories unless they flatter Trump. They pick their news sources using their political leanings. Me? I want to hear both sides since I figure both sides might be slanting things. Both sides also tend to report stories that the other side ignores. I even check the Russian "news" site RT to see what they have to say. They often have stories American media don't; and while they sometimes have a spin to them, they also have some "real facts." I read a story yesterday about the Yellow Vest protests in France. The story had facts and videos (which I'm fairly sure weren't doctored) -- but I also think I know the reason they chose to report on it because I nearly always ask why a story is being reported of any news story I read. I found a story on Al-Jazeera about protests in Iran with hundreds of people demanding the Iranian President resign, chanting, "Death to liars." I think I know the reason Al-Jazeera ran that story.
I ignore appeals to my emotions. I ignore name-calling since that's also showing bias. I read your post and told myself not to expect it to be fair since you'd already shown me you had a bias.
