Oh you will know it when you are Saved, I sure remember it.
Now when one is saved you will not back slide as to the power of Jesus Christ in your life.
Saved is a journey, and not a one off thing. it's like Pow your on the path. you may wane as to strength or total zeal but that's what it's like to be human and this goes on like the waves of the ocean one could say, the Holy spirit feeds you like a battery getting recharged like somewhat, One could say that's what is called the Spiritual well that one must come to drink freely of.

so, an evasion?

from eternity to eternity
There is only one immortal
No one has ever gone up to heaven
All go to the same place
Where I am going you cannot come
lillies of the field
you and your sons will be here with me

and those are just the ones i can easily recall, i could fill the page
lemme know when it starts sinking in ok

your bargain with the grave will be annulled, and when the scrourge comes through, you will be trampled

so no offense guys, that guy teaching you all that Cult of Sol jazz surely has the best of intentions, but the "immortal" hook was strictly to get you started, ok? Apollos waters. The kingdom of heaven is within you

imo careful you dont find yourself fighting Yah ok?

I know I'm saved because I am trusting in the blood of Christ to take away my sin. Trusting in Him like a parachute. :)
trusting him like a millstone imo, at least if we're not careful
beware the thief in the night

trust Him that few there are who find it imo k?

he who says he knows, does not...

@Renniks, So...when I worry about, say...how I will pay the rent because I was laid off, am I abiding? Because He said don't worry about what you will eat, wear (and by extension, where you will live and sleep).[/QUOTE]

Only if you let your worry lead to disbelief. If you still have faith as small as a mustard seed, you are secure in him. That's why I say you have to decide to walk away from him. It's doesn't happen by accident.

How do you know you're saved?? ===You choose to believe God's Word!!

God's Word tells all How to be saved(born again) and join the family of God. Romans: Chapter 10 verse 9-10-13 GOD SAYS=
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be Saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto Salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be Saved....................

---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------

An example prayer if you have never before talked(prayed) to God.=
Heavenly Father:........................................... ...............................
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of
my Sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my
heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the
Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have
Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe
that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now
to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and
Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the
day's of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess
with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed
by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus Name, Amen

But considering what He said, isn't the very worry itself mistrust and lack of faith in what He said? So then, you said abiding is faith and trust.

So if you are trusting Him to raise you from the dead, but you are not trusting Him regarding what He has said about a worldly thing like provision, how could you claim to be trusting and faithful (abiding)?

I would take my humanness into account. Should I doubt him for anything? No. But do I walk in the Spirit a hundred percent of the time? No, there is still the battle with the flesh. Jesus said if you have faith as a mustard seed you can move mountains. I think we all know what we believe deep down.

Yes, I agree we should always take our humaness into account! What I was trying to pinpoint was just sheer honesty about myself. If I am failing in trust, I need to admit it and ask for help, not treat it as something unimportant. Its a race of trust, therefore mistrust is not a good thing to run my race well.

But also, God is patient and He loves us. This should encourage me to be honest about my failings rather than pretend. And it should encourage me to ask for what I lack.

You are one of the most honest persons on here Stunned. And, God surely honors that in His children. Pretending is pure denial, IMO.

It is denial, but it is the useless way of life handed down to us from our parents and ancestors which peter talks about. We are taught from very young to hide what we are doing and have done. Just always putting a spin on what we say or do. Padding our resume. Plastering on a fig leaf so no one will see our nakedness. I feel almost like defending us and saying it becomes so ingrained that we can't even examine ourselves and see that we are doing it because we have deceived others So long that we become deceived ourselves.

But let a man see the freedom and relief that comes with being honest and he will become very honest very quickly. And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free from that useless way of life learned from our parents. :)

I am often not honest right away, from this habit. But God will usually get me on it the next morning and I will gratefully go apologize to who I need to.

The same goes for Abraham. It doesn't say "and he believed God and he imputed righteousness on himself for it." That would be ridiculous...but it is what modern believers do.
Modern believers say that they impute righteousness to themselves? Who says that?? No one I know, that's for certain. There are those who say that they can get their own righteousness and be saved by it, and while just as wrong, that's different. But I know some who say that anyway.

Much love!

You don't think I'm asking a fair question? This is forum. It's what we do. He can answer, or not, which is generally what he does. Or anyone else can chime in. Or you can point a finger at me for asking.

Personally, this idea that God's going to curse His own children, I think that should be questioned.

Now a believer has passed from death to life. So that's the first level. But then there is also after that blessing and cursing

I'm interested to see in Scritpure that we are subject to God's curses being born again, the spirit children of God, hidden in Him. Curses? This I question.

So I ask, what does grace mean to you? To me, it is the goodness that flows from God to us, both in adoption and in rebirth, in decree, and a new creation. In faith, and in hope. I believe God's grace is His ability expressed in us to redeem and restore us. And to fail from His grace it to try to do it any other way. Fallen from grace by trying to improve ourselves in the flesh, thinking that we need to keep law to stay saved. That's not grace.

Much love!
