So there have been quite a lot of negatives being said about the Coronavirus, but let's look at what good can come out of this as a result of

- Many sporting leagues have been put to a halt, or fans have been banned from attending.

- Cinemas are closing their doors, movie releases are being delayed, Hollywood is on hold.

- Concerts around the world have been canceled or postponed

- a lot of other events have been canceled around the world

- Pubs, Bars and Clubs are closing

- Major Shopping Centres/Shopping Malls are being emptied

- Countries are being put into lock down

Now looking at all that is happening in the world, is this a recipe for people to turn back to Jesus? Is this a call for people to turn back to God? Will many start seeking Him again because of this?

Coronavirus is obviously bad, but can it be a bad situation turned to good?

And amongst this, megachurches have been closing their doors, as I mentioned in another thread. Will they have to start relying on God for their needs totally and maybe even start downsizing?

The point I am getting at, is even though Coronavirus is bad, even though I believe God did not cause it to happen, God could be allowing it to happen to turn people back to Him.

Good point / topic.
----
In the midst of national disaster, crisis..etc, it is possible.
- Fresh Move of God, Revival / Spiritual Awakening..
----
It starts with those who are desperate & hungry for God.
- In humble places..
We can see that pattern ( for spiritual awakening / revival ) in Christian history.

On a personal level revival is definitely possible, as it always has been.

In the traditional sense, I think not while gathering restrictions are in place. Actually I expect this trial to be really bad for many churches.

In answer to the OP question, I hope and pray that this calamity will spark revival! I've been praying for major revival for many years.

It's an interesting thought. One thing appears to be clear already. People are having plenty of time to reflect on their lives, and get back to spending time together. I heard Kevin Bacon and his wife did a 5000 piece puzzle together for the first time in 30 years of marriage...

Anyway, I think it is possible, especially if people start becoming increasingly worried about income and health. Once they turn back to prayer they start turning back to God.

How such a personal revival will manifest in terms of worship? I think those who say it may spark the house church movement are correct. It's been prophesied for quite some time that the house church movement will return in great strength in the future, and this may indeed be what sparks it.

Potential revival or not, one thing has become starkly evident. The general populace is fearful, many are emotionally driven by sensationalist media, a great many panic prone which drives them to utter selfish self preservation that prevails over any empathy for those in need such form the as the elderly and handicapped. Quite the marked contrast with the ideals and principles that we expect from the church. Could that extreme contrast between light and darkness open the eyes of many who till now consider the life of the Christian irrelevant and powerless? I suppose that would depend on whether Christians at this time are willing to let that light shine huh.

One would hope

But then we see the news, and how everyone is blaming everyone else. And how we are not even uniting under this.

I doubt it.

I personally believe the days of 'revival' are over. Everything is leading towards the end times chaos. Towards that man of sin to be revealed. Just think, if one stepped on the scene even now, and solved the economic crisis Corona has inflicted, how well he would be received.

If I were yall, I would purchase a new Bible now, while you still can.

A true revival...not!

Most folks are in the self-preservation mode...from the innocent poor, elderly, ignorant to the rich and not so innocent. The former just want to get by and feed their kids or families. The latter want to capitalized on this event and make more money, and control more of people's lives, permanently. These are the ones that have been the real threat and virus in society.

Folks are fed poison daily by the news, and other media outlets - 3 parts truth and 1 part lies. Like herded animals most folks will easily give up their personal and family rights for a 'bowl of soup.' Who says that this so-called virus war is not a broad cover and excuse to exert pressure and introduce a new cultural revolution and permanent change by the same powers behind the throne. These are the same evil entities that caused all the noted wars throughout recent history!

The bankers, corporations and the elite untouchables are the ones to worry about and not the virus. They are more deadly to society than any virus or microbe.

Because of this virus cover and catalyst, that has been shown to be man-made, the media, even on the Right-wing FOX new outlet, people, especially in the US are being programmed and conditioned. They are now being told that we must all get a 'vaccine that works' before we can essentially go back to work. This is the latest con-job. Mainland China went back to work after about 3 months of its virus inception. So now in the US at least, we are now being taught that we must wait at least 12-18 months. So after that period, the economy of the US at least will be in a depressive state. Millions of people permanently out of work, given government-fed blood money (that is not theirs to give or print and make money off themselves) for our servitude and compliance to a new elite takeover. I just hope this scenario does not play out. Time will tell.

So I really think there is zero chance of a spiritual revival for a renewed genuine belief in our Creator and his Son.

Bless all that are at peace in the Spirit that gives them love and truth to their soul. Brethren of the Kingdom must be together and of one mind in these troubling times. Praise our Father and his Son, forever, Amen!

Don't worry about me, Stranger. I possess more Bibles than I know what to do with.... Hopefully, I'll be giving some of them away during the upcoming revival. :)

I appreciate that some are not into videos. But I think this one is the most balanced and prophetically astute perspective of the current situation. It isn't denominational and it isn't a pointy finger exercise at blasting others with blame. In fact, I see it as tremendously encouraging considering there is so much uncertainty and distrust in today's society regarding so many things... The virus... Media... Economy... The church.

Sadly, In the United States, as a whole, the division is so severe. I am not sure we can recover.
What has not happened in the USA is (a) a thorough purging of the Deep State and (b) systematic investigation and prosecution of all the corrupt and treasonous politicians and bureaucrats that were under Obama and have continue during Trump's tenure. Had the anarchists seen that those who engage in sedition and treason end up behind bars for a long time, all this so-called *resistance* would have been put in its place.

Take a couple of recent examples. The day Nancy Pelosi publicly tore up the State of the Union Address, the FBI should have arrested her for a felony. The day Chuck Schumer threatened the Supreme Court judges with assassination (without using that word) the FBI should have arrested him for another felony. Those two should never have been allowed to continue their nefarious deeds and evil words. In fact Trump publicly stated that Pelosi had torn the country apart.

Yet, there they are continuing to spout nonsense and attack Trump and work on legislation which is detrimental to the USA. And this is the real reason why there is no end to division and strife. Yet I have not even mentioned all the other couple of dozen top-tier agitators and hacks who have operated with impunity for the past three plus years.

When one sees the graphs it would be better for the economy if this man made virus went ahead without bothering with it and just let it run it's course, it would wipe out the elderly and any who are not healthy, saving a lot of financial pain for years to come, if it went through fast then the economy would spring back fast and hard. I would be dead tho most likely. but that's what the graphs clearly show.

So one may ask on such a point, why was this virus let loose ? that's the point I am coming too.
Well they all know it was a man made Virus. so I seek from that perspective answers. I think that it's the elephant in the room.

That was not a felony any more than if I printed out a copy and tore it up. Get a grip on reality.

This video Brakelite is to the point.....preaching the gospel to all the world does not necessarily just mean in the classical sense, as with a preacher's sermon on salvation with a Bible open in hand....it is also done by every believer being in love with the Lord making this love contagious with others around them...

Bless you friend,
