No, no. He just washes the feet of the poor, to remind himself of God's call for his humility. They don't actually shower together.

I LOVE YOU TOO SWEETHEART :):):)
Ummmm.....OK.....Are you going to at least TRY and explain how you KNOW that another persons statements "agree with God"?

Or is this your way of bowing out of the conversation?

Really! Yes I have the TRUTH.

John 14:
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Why would you come to me for WHAT I Have?
Are you a Catholic and a democrat?

Go to the Source IF you want The TRUTH!

You are appearing very ignorant of who Jesus is.
Since YOU have the Truth you should write a book and let everyone know what it is.

Thank you for your time....You do keep me in stitches.

I have the Truth because I learned what the Truth is, who is the Trustworthy Truth and Who has The TRUTH to give to those interested.
If you require a BOOK to read and know what I know ... get yourself a Bible, it is sufficient.

And IF that is funny to you; I would suggest you Begin as a child with toddler Bible and earnest heart.

And go to which church? The one YOU promote? If so, WHY?
How about find a body of Christ that resembles the NT church? Now i realise there is really no church that does this 100 % (they met in homes not in refurbished pagan temples, or these extravagant houses of God or even the little country church building) and communion to them was a meal where they broke bread continually. And they were devoted to the apostles doctrine not church doctrine like most denominations do.
But at the very least find one which resembles the churches of acts

being continually devoted.
Daily communication and fellowship
Living in communities,
Sound doctrine
Deep in prayer
Deep in discipleship relationships where they help each other grow as well as hold each other accountable
Growth from within, as they grow leaders. Not bringing in people who do not know the flock at all.

I have just touched on things God find as the essence of his body on local churches.

Fred Phelps thought he had the truth also.

Not interested in your namedropping.

Seems you should be concerned with IF you have the Truth. And IF not, why not.
He is an example of many men who have deceived themselves and others. It's not the name I was going for....it was the example.

The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth...just like scripture says. Not you. Not me. The Church!!

So let's stop pretending YOU have/know the Truth.

if some people loved God half as much as they love their own church, traditions and history, wouldn't that be wonderful?

Yep. But I think those guys love their own denominations less than they hate and resent the denominations of others. If you don't consider Christians to be Christians first, regardless of denominations, you're part of the problem.

The oldest existing church buildings are found around 330, AD. There were certainly earlier ones that are now lost. So it's a very ancient practice by Christians to meet in a building set aside for that purpose.

That would be fine if every denomination church (including any form of the roman church) were true churches and their members were a true part of the body of Christ.

Sadly this is not true. While many churches are filled wiht born again believers. sadly many are not.

Thats why we have the bible namely the book of acts. Which shows us how the church was in the first century.

Also why we should look to it for our guide. not history.

remember, In jesus day, People were afraid to go against the Jewish hierarchy, because it had history and tradition on its side..

I fear, for many, the same thing is happening to the gentile church.

"Church" is not a requirement. Biblically, a Church is a body headed by an apostle or someone designated by an Apostle or one designated by an apostle. Those Christians within ecclesiastical bodies without the episcopate are Christians, nevertheless.

Edit: Catholics don't get a free pass, either; if they don't follow His commandments, they are no more saved than the believers of any other denomination.

You are no more Christian, if your denomination has bishops than those of other denominations that lack them. A Christian is not one who says "Lord, Lord", but rather one who does the will of the Father.

Your right it’s not

but if a particular church teaches a false gospel, they are leading their people to hell not heaven

they are not true churches, and as such, not our brothers and sisters

Fortunately not. It's not theology that saves or condemns you. Whoever tells you that, is not following Jesus, Who said it was those who followed the two great commandments: Love God; love your neighbor.

they are not true churches

In the Biblical sense, some of them are not. Not all denominations have bishops. But that's not what will save you, either. It's wrong to think of it as belonging to the right club and having the right password and handshake.

Every denomination has doctrinal differences with every other. God doesn't care, so long as they follow His commandments.

Let's see what God says...

Matthew 25:31 And when the Son of man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty. ... [32] And all nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats: ... [33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. ... [34] Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ... [35] For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in:

... [36] Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me. ... [37] Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink? ... [38] And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and covered thee? ... [39] Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? ... [40] And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.

This, Jesus says, is how He will decide who goes to eternity with him, and who does not.

It’s the gospel, how one gets to heaven. Nothing about getting the Gospel right, other than the two great commandments.

I would not test this if I was you. I think He meant it.
