I wouldn't be too sure, mum does get wowed at some people having so many tattoos though. I guess it don't surprise dad too much because he has been involved in ministry for the homeless, those on the streets and prisoners before.
PS: @Josho Do you think they would at least respect the integrity of the desire to use a faith based tattoo design - such as a Scripture quote or reference - as a witness tool?

Yes, considering it was done 13 years ago - I think it’s because it’s on the underside of my wrist.

@Rita 13 years: though by that time span the injecting of more pigment is not unusually necessary (and if so you would be really spoilt for choice for parlors where you are, wouldn't you?) yet sounds like - in the case of your deep and special colour, for you so far - still very satisfyingly tattooed.

I would not get it re- coloured Farouk, the tattoo had a personal meaning , and that remains intact.

Maybe.

I don't plan to get a tattoo though.

I do not oppose Christians getting Christian faith-based tattoos though. And if they want to get an eagle tattooed on their arm that's fine too.

Thanks for adding that Josho, I am sure the ‘ forum police ‘ will be on to some of us again later on ........... and I am not talking about the moderators !
Mine isn’t a faith based tattoo as such, it’s a reminder of what God brought me through - he set me free and taught me to fly ( hence why I have a butterfly in motion , in purple to remind me I am a daughter of the King ) on the inside of my wrist - I have never had any regrets xx

@Josho
I saw a quote which shows just how widespread it is among Christians; I'll try to dig it up later; heading out shortly.

Widespread sin often had consequences:

In 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, God said to Solomon, "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive ...

@Rita Anyway, suffice to say that after all these years you do seem to feel truly vindicated in your confident resolve to puncture your dermis with a flow of ink that permanently would remind you and others you tell of your spiritually royal identity.

(gtg, back later..)

In other words, get support for sin, so as not to feel bad about it ?! !

God and His Word simply say: repent, be forgiven, "blessed is the one who God does not hold their sin against them" repeatedly, truthfully, in harmony with all Scripture.

@Josho I see that I mentioned a while ago that at the very conservative, small local church where my wife and I go probably a seeming majority of the young men / boys wore earrings; and one of them was telling us about the tattoo he is planning; it relates to his mother's tattoo design. Long gone are the days when conservative religious ppl could sweepingly "moralize" against them on the supposed grounds that tattoos (and pierced ears) are not part of the culture.

God's Forbidding tats are not related to man's morals, culture, or anything social.
God Forbids them. Doing them is defiling what God Calls the Temple of the holy spirit.
This never changed. (His Instructions and calling them defiling).

Man changes - and approves of sin more every day. Thus as in the days of Noah, and judgment is at hand.
