You avoid NT like plague because no Christian in the NT killed anyone. ...
To All,
Ignorant people make IGNORANT DOCTRINES. An example is one Denomination where they don't have
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS because it's NOT MENTIONED in the New Testament.
But IGNORANT people are even
MORE IGNORANT than that Denomination because the SWORD
IS MENTIONED in the New Testament for THE GOVERNMENT:
Rom. 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of him who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain; he is the servant of God to execute his wrath on the wrongdoer.
So then the IGNORANT person insists that the Government's guidance DOES NOT APPLY TO THE CHRISTIAN. But it DOES:
Lke 22:35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.
And where virtually EVERY VEHICLE carries a SPARE TIRE, --
WE DO NOT CARRY THE SPARE TIRE IN VAIN. We certainly don't pull to the side of the road to "rotate our tires", -- WE ONLY pull to the side of the road to CHANGE A FLAT TIRE.
And so WE DO NOT CARRY THE SWORD IN VAIN.
But Scripture and common sense have little use for IGNORANT PEOPLE, because they're really not IGNORANT, -- as the saying goes:
Ignorance can be cured, but stupidity is forever.
But of such are the
religious.
