I'm gonna havta respectfully disagree with you here Hidden, even as a fellow futurist...

The White Rider is symbolic of the man of sin. Let's go slowly over Revelation 6:1-2 (NKJV)

1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come and see."
2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

Coronavirus has no personage. It is not a person. It is not a "he." Now, a conqueror is one that acquires something by virtue of conquest. Coronavirus does not acquire anything. It is a non-being. The passage is speaking about a man who will come on the scenes and acquire global power in a meteoric rise through intrigue, rhetoric, deceit and flattery; a bloodless coup d'etat (on the surface, anyway) . This represents the fact that his arsenal will not be with arrow; the part of the bow and arrow assemblage that inflicts damage; it will not be fatal nor will it be with force; his rise will be solemnly resignated likely by the United Nations assembly. He will be installed. The whiteness of the horse represents the fact that he will be seen as a shining saviour to the global cabal's one world government and will be seen by many as a force of good and a grand unifier.

That "corona" means "crown" is really just a coincidence. No reason to connect it with Rev 6:1-2. The rider of Pestilence would make more sense, in fact.

Now, having said that, I have heard that if the markets didn't open up before the start of May, that we are on our way to a worse crash than 1920s. Revelation 6:6 may speak on this, as it speaks of great poverty in the lands—6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine."

Once Trump is out the world will continue it's spiral.

Anyways, be well my friend. May the Lord be with you, I look forward to your reply.
I agree with that assessment on the virus.

a breakdown of this rider, a. he have bow, this word bow is the Greek word,
G5115 τόξον toxon (to'-xon) n.
a bow (apparently as the simplest fabric).
[from the base of G5088]
KJV: bow

my source for this definition, is the Mickelson's Enhanced Strong's Dictionaries of the Greek and Hebrew Testaments. anyone can check it.

a bow, NOT WITH AN ARROW, (as in poison arrows), but the rider do have darts, and they are fiery, (Ephesians 6:16). but no, not like as we see in pictures, no, a bow here means, (apparently as the simplest fabric). notice what it said, "apparently as the simplest fabric". other words a cheap outfit or a fake invitations, of the real, (who rides in chapter 19). Also this rider had a crown. It is the Greek word, G4735 στέφανος stephanos, not what our Lord and Saviour wear in chapter 19, which is G1238 διάδημα diadema, which means the Kingly ornament for the head, the crown. and he, the Lord Jesus wore many. But this rider here in chapter 6 is carrying another gospel. Sound like the real gospel, but….. Galatians 1:6-8 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed”. this rider make one loose their first Love,as was warn in one of the churches.

Conclusion: the white rider/Face like a Lion, is a false messiah, the noisome beast of Ezekiel 14. the Lion, a ROAING (noise) Lion seeking whom he may devour/conquer supporting scripture, 1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”. this lion is in opposition to the real Lion, the Lord Jesus out of the trib of Judah.
as our Lord said when he as he sat upon the mount of Olive, "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."

this is what this rider do, deceive many.

The fifth horseman of revelation also rides a white horse and a red one.

Luke 19:44 KJV
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Hundreds of theories have been presented on what the 1st Horseman of the Apocalypse might be. When I first saw the following video a few weeks ago, I was initially skeptical. But after realizing what a catastrophic situation we have on our hands, I am now convinced that the following interpretation is actually correct, and we are now living in the days when the first seal of Revelation 6:1-2 has been broken, and the White Horse has now been released upon the earth.

Don't let the lack of activity at CF fool you. This went largely under the radar, but I think he was indeed correct.

Coronavirus Revealed in Bible Prophecy

As we watch global events unfold there is a question on the minds of all who wait for the coming of the Lord, "Is this it?" "Are we in the midst of the tribulation?" I am of the opinion that as of now...No,we are not. I see the 7 seals in a certain manner. I think Mat 24 gives us a synopsis of the book of Revelation. Let me explain.
The 1st seal "the white horse rider" as the anti-christ. (See in Mt 24 where Jesus said many will come in my name saying I am he.)
The 2nd seal is the red horse who had the power to take peace from the earth( See in Mt 24 where Jesus said there will be wars and rumors of wars)
The 3rd seal is the black horse rider that chanted "a full days work for a loaf of bread" (See in Mat 24 where Jesus said there will be famines in diverse places.)
The 4th seal is the pale horse of death with hell following that would kill 1/4 of mankind with pestilence ( See Mat 24 where Jesus said there would be pestilences in various places)
The 5th seal showed that that were martyred for the faith under the alter (See in Mat 24 where Jesus said we would be delivered up)
The 6th seal showed the heavens falling and the earth shaken (See in Mat 24 where Jesus said there would be earthquakes)
The 7th seal shows silence in heaven. Why? Because all of heaven is invading earth when Jesus returns, He will bring His army with him (See in Mat 24 where Jesus says and THEN shall the son of man return)
So here you have the mystery of the seven seals that the Lord gave to me. Covid 19 cannot be a tribulation judgement because pestilence comes at the 4th seal. The 1st seal revealing of the antichrist MUST come first, as Paul foretold:
2 Th 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Jesus was giving his disciples a synopsis of his revelation in Matthew 24. We need to look at the 7 seals in light of that.

Neither do I. We have a long ways to go. I see the four horsemen as only the beginning of a scenario that will play out for several decades.

I addressed this interpretation in my response to Friend Of in Post #68. If you get a chance, tell me what your response would be.

I think the four horsemen are actual personages. Each one bringing about what is in their power to do. I can't see how the Covid virus fits the white horse any better. In your OP you said that the first seal has actually been broken. You don't think that is a bit of a stretch?

Have you never heard of personification? How can Death and Hades be personages? The Grim Reaper is just an imaginary figure. And what about Hades? It is a region -- a place -- not a person.

When 2 billion+ people are killed in a few weeks, how would you describe it?

Is there one person alive today in command of war, famine, plagues, and wild animals capable of killing over 2 billion people non-stop for weeks on end?

Greetings, Marks.

He's tracing the etymology through toxikos, of the same family. Both are defined using the word "archery" on occasions, with the latter being used more specifically of "poison used to smear arrows with." (Liddell-Scott, P.1805).

toxic | Origin and meaning of toxic by Online Etymology Dictionary

Really he's gotten off the trail, because the whole matter of the rider coming on the white horse with the 1st Seal is about a conquerer, and is in contrast to our Lord Jesus Who comes riding a white horse per Rev.19.

1. 1st Seal rider on white horse, wearing 'a' single crown, and wielding a cheap bow.
2. Jesus coming on a white horse wearing many crowns and with a sword that cuts both ways.

The comparison should be obvious. No.1 is a 'fake' Christ. No.2 is our Lord Jesus Christ. That's the real meaning of the 1st Seal rider on a white horse; it's about a fake Christ. Notice also, it does not tell us that is the 1st seal. The Scripture tells us only that it is 'a' seal. The fake Christ actually appears on the 6th Seal. The reason why Jesus gave that fake at the start in Rev.6 is because He was following the order of the Signs of the end He gave back in His Olivet discourse of Matthew 24 and Mark 13, the first Sign being to not let any man deceive us. That rider on the white horse in Rev.6 represents the fake Christ, which is the MAIN DECEIVER for the end.

Revelation 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Matthew 10:34-35 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. [35] For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
I absolutely agree with this! :)

If we were to place this event chronologically, it would be the first few centuries after the apostolic preaching, when the Church was fiercely persecuted and much Christian blood (red) was shed, hence the reason for having a red horse.

I said after the apostolic preaching, because that period is signified by the 1st seal. The white horse represents the Apostles, Christ is the rider and His bow* is the Gospel.

Habakkuk 3:8-9
Wast thou angry, O Lord, with the rivers? or [was] thy wrath against the rivers, or thine anger against the sea? for thou wilt mount on thine horses, and thy riding is salvation. 9 Surely thou didst bend thy bow at scepters**, saith the Lord. The land of rivers shall be torn asunder. (LXX)

_____
* Bow is also the body of the Lord: His incarnation and the things He suffered in the flesh for our salvation being the main subject of the Gospel. This is also the typological meaning of the rainbow (Genesis 9:12-16).
** Scepters are the evil spirits and their servants.

I can imagine the Babel Builders saying...
In these strange, challenging, tough and unprecedented times... Together, we can get through this

Yeah. And they will keep saying it the tougher it gets. A defense mechanism to keep it together I suppose...

But for how long? I personally think the 2nd horseman begins next year, and with it a lot of violence and death.

And we'll still have a long ways to go.

Realize this has nothing to do with the topic. I do not mean to derail the thread but could you briefly give any thoughts you might have on: 1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

As you are aware, I look at prophetic scripture through the eyes of historicism. The seven seals to the historicist are a prophetic panorama of history from the time they were given to the close of the age. 5 seals are past. We are living in the time of the sixth seal. The seventh seal, the second coming, is not far away. The seals deals with church history. There are aspects that have parallel verses in Matthew 24 and also the 7 letters to the churches in Revelation 1:10-3:22. Matthew 24 can be viewed in several ways which show the brilliance of Jesus'narrative. It can be either historically viewed... Or seen as solely an end time thing.
The white horse depicts the church in it's initial purity. Roughly 30-70ad. Matthew 24:1-3, and the church of Ephesus.
The red horse depicts persecution by pagan Rome and the beginning of sin entering the church... The falling away...70-538. Matthew 4-6 and the church of Smyna.
Then came major apostasy, the black horse. Through wars and the fall of the Roman empire, the church devolved into the papacy. Matthew 24:7 Cut short by the reformation. Church of Pergamum.
The fourth seal, the pale horse, depicts the tribulation... The papal persecutions and millions of martyrs of the dark ages... Matthew 24:21 church of Thyatira.
The fifth seal shows a short respite from persecution, the time of the reformation began to curb the excesses of Rome, the famine for the word ceased. But the television didn't last, even the reformation churches in time lapsed into sleep. Matthew 24:22. Church of Sardis.
The sixth seal brings in the time of the end from 1798 on. Matthew 24:29. Church of Philadelphia.
The seventh seal is the second coming. Matthew 24:30-31. The church of Laodicea is the final church of the age. The thing to remember throughout that history has that along side the apostate church there thrived a remnant who were protected and shielded. Yes, millions suffered and were martyred, but they died in Christ. Their faith was preserved. We can see this in Revelation 12 where the church fled into the wilderness where she was looked after throughout the 1260 years of papal supremacy from 538-1798. That was the great tribulation, but there is coming another shorter but more intense tribulation .. Time of Jacobs trouble... Immediately before Jesus returns.
KJV Revelation 6
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them (those killed during the great tribulation) ; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, (that time now) until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.(those to be killed who refuse the mark).

The same goes for the seven trumpets, except they depict secular history rather than church history.

To quote the words of a friend, "But there's... and wait a second... and what about the fact that...and if you ask me it doesn't really say..." LoL.

Good to have a friend that we can sometimes have wildly different views on things, and yet still greatly appreciate one another as brothers in Christ.
