My personal physician is from India. She is from the Hindu religion. They believe in many things that we don't.
But does that mean she is wrong in everything she will ever say? Off course not...

And singling out an irrelevant belief of one doctor to try and discredit the others doctors is even more irrational. So now I shouldn't trust any doctor at all cos my doctor is a Hindu... This

This is the millennial mentality but these days... What we call censorship they call misinformation, the ends justifies the means...

I got sick when I was 4 years old, nearly died in the night. I understand it's normal for people to get sick, and to die of something at some stage. Communicable Diseases. They've got something communicable. Better not communicate with them in person so we don't get it. A reasonable precaution ...that's all I'm sayin'.
wadr this sure seems like the modus operendi of fear, fueled by the outside model of infection. We have defenses against those diseases that render a healthy person immune to them, so while social isolation might seem reasonable, the many examples of the socially isolated dying upon reintroduction argue against you imo.

no offense but imo a weak argument goes with a weak immune system maybe? But regardless, why not take steps to strengthen the immune system, just in case?

yah! tho "exotic native" goes with "communism" on the comment scale i guess?
Oh that all of that were legal. Here in Victoria $1500 fines for traveling without sufficient reason. Social permits for traveling to work. Curfew between 8pm and 5am. $200 fines for not wearing masks in public. Fines for traveling outside of s five kilometer zone to shop. Exercising outside your immediate neighborhood. One can't even go over the road to surf alone at his local beach. Or play golf at his local course. It is a manipulated mind numbing overreaction where the common sense now is not to do the right thing Iin response to the virus, but the common sense thing in response to the legal niceties that have been laid down by over zealous glory hunting politicians.
I agree with the mineral cure. Natural remedies. With HCQ. if it were available. I don't know. I don't think so. No-one here wants to talk about it and when you do you are shouted down as if you are proposing cyanide as a cure. Will blindness and rather than herd immunity it's more like the herd of pigs jumping into the dead sea.
But I'm not depressed. Just sad that so many are in fear unnecessarily. And I'm grateful I have Jesus who pulls me back from becoming angry and frustrated at the blindness. It isn't anyone's fault. The devil has sold us a bridge to no where and it's beginning to collapse, but praise God, all this nonsense and confusion is only for a short time.
wow, im surprised Aussies would go for all that stuff tbh, hmm
yall have a 2nd amendment or no? :)

Freaky what fear can do. The governments and so called health experts along with a compliant media have done a great job.
funny, we have those types here too, but i guess the dynamic is just different or something? I guess i just always thought of Aussies as more renegade than us, not less, hmm

Don't know about here, but there is a strong resistance rising at home in NZ. A new political party who's leader is pulling no punches in naming the current government as criminal and socialist traitors. Elections coming up in September, the newbies are making waves... Could be interesting.

"Every human being has about as many cells with a shared DNA as cells with different DNA. The first set is what you call you (the cells that collectively generate your soul or consciousness) and the second set are all your microbes. These microbes don't share your soul but without them you would die. That means that any properly functioning society should be expected to consist of as many natives as aliens. And the natives in turn should be expected to comprise a properly functioning immune system that (a) is lucidly aware of the shared DNA, (b) takes great joy in reviewing alien DNA, and (c) recognizes incompatible DNA from afar and knocks it out.

An inability to fight off a viral enemy is a leading indicator of getting cancer. A society that doesn't know itself will first get confused and then fall apart..." The Gospel of Impurity

I think I'm going to enact my retirement plan sooner expected. Drop everything here and run away from this dark concrete jungle. Drive east for a few hours past Gippsland and settle near a small coastal town in NSW.

Somewhere like Merimbula, simple life, good boating with the ocean and lakes, the snow fields aren't far, the bush in the backyard. It's also ideal place to take up the new hobby I had planned, bird watching, in the Aussie bush, serene, peaceful, tranquilo... Ah one day

Sounds like a good idea.

Not many people will want to live in Melbourne after this.

Already people are moving away, as it's one of the valid reasons to leave the state, you can leave the state if you are moving house. But you must self-isolate for 14 days after you have moved house to a different state.

I think it's a cultural thing. Australia is very young and struggles I think with it's own identity. The USA has s unique identity as the great experiment with freedom and liberty... No king and no pope etc. More patriotic and more willing to stand and defend that culture. Beer, barbecues, and cricket don't tend to engender a great deal of passion.
Now watch all the Aussies come down on me like a ton of bricks. :)

i guess that is well put come to think of it, the history of Australia would practically guarantee a certain amount of cultural sensitivity to the perceptions of others, "we dont want to appear to be uncivilized" or whatever?

you guys have the little cartoon about Tim, floating away holding balloons? Im guessing that doesnt play over there now? :)
its too un-pc to post here i guess, but a Gimages search of "Tim doesn't give a" should do. NSFW there maybe, dunno

The end is inevitable. And it's not going to end well. This particular politician understands that, and simply feels it his duty to protest and fight as best he can. He knows how powerful the opposition is. He just wants to wake up as many people as possible to make it as difficult as possible for the enemy to win. Me personally, I'm apolitical. You are right. What's going down is a spiritual war. Politics can't fix it.

Odds of lunatics being right isn't that good.
Textbook genetic fallacy. "Odds" of Christians being right aren't that good, either, but I'm going with it. As far as I know, no one has stepped up to debunk her 350-0 Hydroxychloroquine/Zinc/Azithromycin success claim, and you know they would if they could, HIPPA notwithstanding.
Mmm. So from a medical professional what said a couple of things that sounds off-beat and a little nutty, all of a sudden she has graduated to lunacy?
I think she might actually be quite delusional about some stuff but 350-0 is 350-0.

I don't know that much about COVID-19 and medications to treat it, but it's looking more and more like efforts are being made to squelch success stories. It's actually quite dystopian in appearance, like someone wants people to be afraid of free speech and truth, etc.

(Speaking of free speech, I came here from another, more popular forum website and there, about half of what I've read here would result in deletion, thread closing, banning, etc. Quite draconian, indeed. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me. I stayed so long because there was a particular fellow there whose influence I was intent on countering. But he was protected and somehow able to break all the rules with impunity.)

Anyhoo, I thought it was quite striking that a Yale Professor of Epidemiology would go out on a limb and that Newsweek would publish him.
