You can't get by "The Word was God".

Jesus is God!

I already have. You choose to call Jesus a liar. That tells me everything I need to know about someone like you. Jesus says he has a Father and a God. The True God has neither a Father nor a God.

Thomas isn't on your side. He knows that Jesus has a Father and God that's also his Father and God. So Thomas knew when he said My Lord and My God he didn't forget that Jesus has a Father that's his Father and that Jesus has a God who was also Thomas God. I'm not going to ignore that.

Well let's see, John said Jesus is God. Thomas said Jesus is God. I'll take their word for it.

Jesus is greater than both besides you're the one saying John and Thomas are saying they said Jesus is God not them.
WELL IT SEEM LIKE THAT TO ME, John 20:28 "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God."

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

if you have scripture, that says otherwise, I'll entertaine it, but no personal opinions.

WHO IS THE SON
Two weeks previously Thomas had heard Jesus pray to his heavenly Father and say: “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent, " at John 17:3. On the fourth day after that prayer, or on his day of resurrection, Jesus sent a special message to Thomas and the other disciples by means of Mary Magdalene. “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her, " at John 20:17,18. So from Jesus’ prayer and from this message through Mary Magdalene, Thomas knew who his own God was. His God was not Jesus Christ, but his God was the God of Jesus Christ. Also his Father was the Father of Jesus Christ. Thus Thomas knew that Jesus had a God whom he worshiped, namely, his heavenly Father.

How, then, could Thomas in an ecstasy of joy at seeing the resurrected Jesus for the first time burst out with an exclamation and speak to Jesus himself as being the one and only living, true God, the God whose name is Jehovah? How could Thomas, by what he spoke, mean that Jesus was himself “the only true God” or that Jesus was God in the Second Person of a Trinity? In view of what Thomas had heard from Jesus and had been told by Jesus, how can we read such a meaning into Thomas’ words: “My Lord and my God”?

Jesus would have reproved Thomas if Jesus had understood that Thomas meant that he, Jesus, was “the only true God” whom Jesus had called “my God” and “my Father.” Certainly Jesus would not take a title away from God his Father or take away the unique position from God his Father. Since Jesus did not reprove Thomas as if addressing him in a wrong way, Jesus knew how to understand Thomas’ words, Scripturally. And so did the apostle John.

John was there and heard Thomas exclaim: “My Lord and my God.” Did John say that the only thing for us to conclude from Thomas’ words was that Jesus was God, “the only true God” whose name is Jehovah? PS.35:23,24 Here would have been an excellent place for John to explain John 1:1 and say that Jesus Christ, who was the Word made flesh, was God himself, that he was “God the Son, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.” But is that the conclusion that John reached? Is that the conclusion to which John brings his readers? L

“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe.” That we might believe what? “That Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”John 20:29-31

In his life account of Jesus John wrote the things to persuade us to believe, not that Jesus is God, that Christ is God, or that Jesus is “God the Son,” but that “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.” The trinitarians designedly twist things by saying “God the Son.” But we take John’s explanation the way that he words it, namely, “Christ, the Son of God.” We follow John to the same conclusion that he reached, that Jesus is the Son of the One whom Jesus calls “my Father” and “my God,” in this same Twentieth Chapter of John. Hence Thomas was not worshiping “God the Father” and “God the Son” at one and the same time as equals in a “triune God.”

Thomas worshiped the same God whom Jesus Christ worshiped, namely, Jehovah God, the Father. So if Thomas addressed Jesus as “my God,” Thomas had to recognize Jesus’ Father as the God of a God, hence as a God higher than Jesus Christ, a God whom Jesus himself worshiped. Revelation 4:1-11 gives a symbolic description of this God, the “Lord God Almighty,” who sits upon the heavenly throne and who lives forever and ever; but the next chapter, Revelation 5:1-8 describes Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God who comes to the Lord God Almighty on his throne and takes a scroll out of God’s hand. This illustrates the meaning of Jesus’ words to Thomas and the other apostles: “I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.” John 14:28 Jesus thus recognized his Father as the Lord God Almighty, without an equal, greater than his Son.

I go by all the scriptures not just one or two to try to prove what the scriptures are saying. At John 17:3 Jesus prayed, "This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." your first ERROR of this day.... :D when the Lord Jesus say, "My, my, my, my, Father, which is in heaven, he's saying "MY" Spirit, which is in Heaven, for he is the ordinal Last of HIMSELF on earth. and when the Father, who is Jesus, the ordinal First, say "my" Son, he is saying "my" body on Earth. supportive scripture, John 3:13 "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." BINGO, while on EARTH in a Flesh and blood body talking to Nicodemus, he, JESUS was in Heaven, as the Spirit, the ordinal First. so all that you just posted have no air in it, it's no good, we have corrected your understanding of MY Father, and MY Son. it's been corrected right at the beginning of the incorrect statement you posted. when it false at the beginning then the end is even worest.......

so try again.

WHO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE? lets check the record, 1 Timothy 6:13 "I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;"
1 Timothy 6:14 "That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:"
1 Timothy 6:15 "Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;"
1 Timothy 6:16 "Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen."

if the Lord Jesus is the ONLY, ONLY, ONLY, one who have "ETERNAL LIFE", then neither your Jehovah have it, nor the one whom you ignorantly calls the Father have IMMORTALITY/ETERNAL LIFE.

well what's your scripture answer to that?

Yes I understand how you believe the scriptures, but Gods Holy Spirit didn't inspire John to write my spirit but instead inspired John to write My Father. I don't go by someone interpretation of the scriptures, I believe what the Holy Spirit inspired to be written down and like I said the Holy Spirit inspired John to write down my Father. Your interpretation isn't needed. People should believe what is written down not someones interpretation of what's written down.
So you saying Jesus was in heaven while consider Jesus was talking to Nicodemus isn't the scriptures saying that that's your interpretation. I don't consider your interpretation scripture. It's what you believe but not what I believe. So unlike you I'll let God judge who is in error, you're just an imperfect human like anybody else. How you choose to believe the scriptures when it comes to you is your right but I don't think anybody should follow your interpretations. You saying John 3:13 is a supportive scripture isn't supportive just because you say it is. I see nothing about what you say in this scripture you just don't want people to believe what's written down.

Yeah again you're not listening to the scriptures. The scriptures show that when Jesus While on earth, expressed his desire to return to the glory he once had in heaven with his Father. John 17:5 Nothing indicates that Jesus was hoping for more than that. He was not expecting some sort of heavenly “upgrade.” But what did Jehovah do? He honored Jesus in an unexpected way by resurrecting him to “a superior position” and giving him what no one else had received up until that time, immortal spirit life! Phil. 2:9; 1Tim.6:16. The Father and God of Jesus has always had immortality. Also immortality and eternal life not the same thing. Adam wasn't immortal when God created him but if he had continued to obey God as God wanted him to, Adam would have lived forever.

We're not the ones confused. Show me in scripture where it says God sent himself to the world of mankind to die for mankind. There are scriptures that tell us that God sent his Only Begotten Son to the world of mankind to die for mankind. The scriptures show us that it's those who exercise faith that God loved the World of Mankind so much that he sent his Only Begotten Son to the World of Mankind that those who exercise faith in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
One thing you have to remember is that God can't die. You can argue about it all you want but God can't die. No matter how you debate it God can't die.
