just the opposite they denied God could become a human in the flesh. The gnostics said Jesus walked the earth as a God/man(Spirit/flesh).
The incarnation concept was born.

That is NOT what those 2 verses say or meant.just the opposite they denied God could become a human in the flesh.
Great post..also as another support of not actually being saved 'yet' in Hebrews Chapter 10...it is another appeal by Paul to his descendents and kin to continue their faith they had under the Law of Moses and now as they gained epignosis of Christ to BECOME saved and not fall away as many Hebrews/Jews did during that time..many even stayed practicing the old ways, of the Law....Disagree.
Hearing the Word of God...
IS: being Enlightened.
Men ARE Blessed...
FOR: Hearing the Word of God...
There IS a time for all things.
A person Never having Heard the Word of God...doesn't sit in a church, hear a select one hour Sermon the Pastor has selected...jump up and Vow a Commitment of Heartful Belief.
Do you not recognize A Commitment to the Lord IS from the Heart and Forever?
Who makes a Life long Commitment to something they know nothing about?
The Disciples followed Jesus around Daily for long hours, for Three years, Hearing...and BTW, questioning, doubting, denying...during their "Learning" period.
None of them met Jesus, and within a week of Hearing the Word of God...made a Vow of Commitment to Him.
Yet...every day as they heard...
They were being Enlightened!
They were TASTING the Blessings of the Holy Spirit...who IS Light.
They are our Examples:
Three Years, Long hours of Hearing...
Before they WERE Prepared to Make A Forever and Assured Heartful and Lifeling Commitment to the Lord.
And not to forget Judas...
He heard, he TASTED The Enlightenment of The Lords Word. He was Blessed by the Holy Spirit....BUT he stopped Listening to the Word of God...and instead Listened to the Temptation of $$$...and Allowed His Carnal Mind to consider and agree to the Tempting Offer of $$$.
He was Not Saved...He fell from Faith.
And BTW- the Blessing a man being Enlightened receives...IS measures of Faith.
The Bible makes it Clear...TASTING Enlightenment...is "Learning About" the Lord, being Prepared to Commit to Him...
Not "making a commitment".
Ponder...
Glory to God,
Taken
you are most definitely correct....you see it then ...Bless you, APAKThe book of Hebrews has nothing to do with loosing salvation.
You did once you decided to embrace paganism and Satan. No one is a Christian who denies Christ is fully God and Fully Man, if you deny that you are not a Christian at all.
Are you saying a person can deny the Deity of Christ and be saved ?I must really disagree... that is if anyone's ultimate salvation is dependent on them be a "Christian". I believe that there are people on this forum who in spite of disagreeing with one another on various things including this one, lead lives carefully striving to always be committed and obedient to God. God does not expect us to be theologians at the top of the class in knowledge. He expects us to be surrendered fully to Him and to be in love with Him. What matters to God? Go very slow about dictating what matters most to Him.
Even if your description of what or who Jesus is were correct, believing that in faith should hardly be on a par with the two greatest commandments according to Jesus in scripture. It is also not your place or mine to decide who is or is not working right and believing right in God.
"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Matt 22:36-40
No, actually I am saying it is not my job, and I would be surprised to find that it was yours, to decide finally the basis for another person's salvation. Are you saying a person can deny the Deity of Christ and be saved ?
Your question scarcely computes. What is a "real" man? Do you mean was he born with the same qualities and parts as you or me? Who has denied that? Not me?Are you saying a person can deny Jesus was/is a real man can be saved ?
Are you saying a person can deny both of the above and be saved ?
Jesus said " unless you believe I AM you will die in your sins " ( John 8:24)No, actually I am saying it is not my job, and I would be surprised to find that it was yours, to decide finally the basis for another person's salvation.

How do you know what another person believes without a personal revelation from God about the person?Jesus said " unless you believe I AM you will die in your sins " ( John 8:24)
I quoted Jesus and He declared a person must believe He is YHWH( I AM) to be saved and not die in your sins. How do you know what another person believes without a personal revelation from God about the person?
"God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written..." Rom 3:4
Yes sir!I quoted Jesus and He declared a person must believe He is YHWH( I AM) to be saved and not die in your sins.
So did Paul in Romans 10. One must confess Jesus is YHWH ( LORD) to be saved.
end of discussion.
Actually I was only agreeing that the discussion was at an end. We remain somewhat apart on some things! So are we in agreement ?
Thanks !
would you mind if I share a passage with you and get your comments ?Actually I was only agreeing that the discussion was at an end. We remain somewhat apart on some things!
He never said we must believe He is God, you added that. I Am means HE exists, I Am too but i am not God are you??I quoted Jesus and He declared a person must believe He is YHWH( I AM) to be saved and not die in your sins.

Who raised JEsus from the dead, does it say God raised Himself from the dead, are you so blind.that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead
I believe Jesus to bad you don't.Who raised JEsus from the dead, does it say God raised Himself from the dead, are you so blind.
You mean like this bitI believe Jesus to bad you don't.
