Disagree.
Matt 10:32 does not mention water.
Confession is the highlight, not water.
Matt 10:
[32] Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Glory to God,

I think that you are mistaking me with some other posters here who are contending that a man cannot be saved apart from water baptism. That is not what I am contending. I am contending that baptism has the power to save a man; while a man may also be saved merely by "believing" ("should not perish"....John 3:16), "calling on the name of the Lord" ("shall be saved"...Romans 10:13).
Iow, baptism has the capability of sealing the deal so that you can have absolute assurance of salvation...while merely believing is "iffy" ("should not perish"....John 3:16).
If I confess Jesus before men apart from baptism, most assuredly, Jesus will confess me before the Father and before His holy angels.
If I confess Jesus before men in baptism, that also has the power to save me; in that I am confessing Jesus before men, and He will also confess me before the Father and His holy angels.
The difference between the first and the second confession is that in the second, I am identifying with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection....and this cannot help but be a special type of confessing Him before men, that is more effective than merely confessing Him with my mouth...which will also save; if it is done before men.
Coming out of the water as wet sinners is not being saved by grace through faith. It's just getting wet and remaining in your sins.
When you get saved, do you come out of your situation a sinner?
What does it matter if you got saved through water or if you got saved through a mere confessing of Him with your mouth?
In confessing Him with your mouth, you come up out of that situation a sinner.
If you get saved through water baptism, you come up out of that situation a wet sinner.
Either way, you come up out of that situation, a saved sinner.
I say to you verily that everyone who is saved through water baptism comes up out of that water "a wet sinner"....saved nevertheless!
The baptism is "for the remission of sins" and the promise is the Holy Ghost...and He is also absolutely promised conditionally in Acts of the Apostles 2:38-39.
