I do full know well, but you keep making it a burden, we became perfect when we came to Christ and put on His righteousness, our Spirit cannot sin, end of Story, Christ is happy when men believe, is it not enough for you.

And what about your flesh if your Spirit cannot sin? Does it follow suit, or is it not one with your spirit? We are made in the image of God. And like Jesus who is the embodiment of the mind (Father) and Spirit (Holy Spirit), we are one. If you don't sin in your spirit, you won't in the flesh either. If you sin in the flesh, you have quenched your spirit from the control of the Spirit.

There was a doctrine of the Gnostics, and part of it was that our Spirit cannot sin, and that is all that counts. They believed that their flesh could sin, and in fact, should sin everyday so that grace could abound. It was a heinous, evil, unholy doctrine. Today, we have something similar, except for the sinning in the flesh on purpose so grace could abound. At least, I hope we are smarter than they were centuries ago. Are we?

Its dead to God as out flesh is dead, isnt that enough for you...

Hate you, no you are blind to your blindness, JEsus did it once He isnt doing it again.

You seem to want me to just leave you alone in your false doctrine, and let you walk into hell blindfolded, so you can't see where you are headed. Are you an ostrich that just wants to bury their head in the sand? Your nature needs to be born again - literally. Only Jesus can do that.

Sorry, farouk, if the Word of God doesn't say this, then I could care less what men say.
Paul in his Epistles addresses believers as saints: those who as believers are set apart, sanctified.

Paul also desires that the fruit of sanctification be seen in professing believers' lives: "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification".

Your personal “ Holiness” and your personal “Perfection” are a joke......I am sure it is obvious to anybody that knows you.....are you married? Let me ask your Husband about your so- called “ Perfection”.......
I am the TRUE “ Chief Of Sinners” ( step aside, Paul there’s a New kid in town ) yet , just like Abraham, who was FAR from Perfect or Holy, God slapped upon Him a “ label” of being “ righteous” ( That would include being Perfect, Blameless and Holy) simply because he “ BELIEVED GOD”
Nobody but God is TRULY HOLY or PERFECT or RIGHTEOUS —— I am IMPUTED with the very Righteous of Christ simply because I, like Abraham Believe God......I REST in the Gospel Of 1Cor:1-4 and because of that , God “ considers” me Righteous.....I am “ MADE Righteous” by the Blood Of The Lamb...our own personal “ Holiness” amounts to a Stench in God’s Nostrils....you are not fooling anybody......I pity those that do not understand the True Ways Of God and have the burden of going around trying to “ Act Holy” all of the time.....what a miserable existence that must be....How much better it is to REST in the Finished Work Of Jesus on the Cross , and let Him Work “ Through” me instead of me trying to do it myself and live a lie that I am “ Holy”.....God views me through “ the spectacles of Christ” and sees me just as Holy as Jesus is.....If your “ Gospel “ is reliant on you and what “ you” do—— it ain’t the Gospel......The Gospel is NOT what we do for God. It is what God has-done for “us”. It is a Gift.We are to accept that gift and put our continued Faith in it....

I can only tell you the truth; I can't make you come out of the darkness to receive it.

CLING TO THAT HOLY BOOK . Most men today have left off the rightly divided word of Truth .
For nigh the end it was written , that they would be given unto fables . Sound doctrine no longer endured .
Folks wanna feel safe in their sin . And paul never let that happen , He said let it not once be named among you as becometh saints .
EITHER we follow the flesh or the Spirit . But it cant be both . The lambs must die daily . Fight against the evil nature
of our own flesh . Many have twisted scrips to suit their own beliefs , but have twisted them scrips unto their own destruction .
Let the lambs stay planted in those bibles . Feasting upon and loving every Word in it .

Hi teken:

Taking this verse by itself and standing it all alone, one would conclude that a believer once He is born of god will not sin anymore and indeed cannot sin anymore! the opposite would also be true. that if a person commits a sin then they are lost and not born of God!

BUT BUT BUT: taken with the rest of Scriptures on the life of a believer we find these things which are true as well:

1. The old man (the one God has declared dead) can do nothing but sin. Romans 8
2. The old man fights for supremacy in our soul! Romans 7
3. we must choose to die daily. Romans 6
4. 1 John 1:9 is gods provision when we do fail.
5. The believer has two places- their daily experience, and the position god has declared us to be! Things like we are perfected forever, we are justified, we are seated in heavenly places, we are dead in Christ, our life is hid in Christ etc.
6. That is why Hebrews 10:14 God has declared us finished (perfected) and is now sanctifying us!
7. Do we ever need to sin anymore ? NO!
8. But Romans 12: 1-2 is th eoperative Word for us. We are spending our lives unlearning the old ways of thinking (which govern our living) and learning and practicing the new way of thinking (according to the word of God)
9. god is patient! He owns us and is in the process of conforming us to the image of Jesus!

Thank you.
Glory to God,
Taken

I see that as "status." For this is the will of God, you are set apart.

god is patient!

Hi @Ronald Nolette,

More so than what you preach concerning doctrine, what concerns me is that you have failed to respect God by capitalizing His name; not once, but twice in the above posts.

I would ask you pointedly if these things are typos or if you deliberately spelled God without a capital letter in both instances.

I can understand making a typo once; but doing the same thing a second time reeks of some kind of falsity in your doctrine.

If it really was typos, I suggest that you go back and correct your error so that people don't get the wrong idea.

Yours in Christ,

@justbyfaith.

But you don't recognize that He took the desire to sin away also, so that you won't sin anymore. "Be perfect, as my Father in heaven is perfect."

If the Saved Children Of God “ don’t sin anymore” , why does the Bible talk so much about God Chastising those He loves. The Bible says when you sin , if you are loved by God he will “ scourge” His Foolish , errant Children to get them back “ on track” when they disobey Him.....If he does not punish you , you are a Bastard—- none of His!
Chastisement is a Fact! If we are not Sinning to merit this punishment from God, He must just be doing it for “ kicks”........ Please explain why God punishes Saved ,Born Again, Believers for the fun of it?

I divide them as John meant. Sorry, but you are clueless to what John means. Proverbs 1:7

So you are one of those who believes that what John wrote is really not what he meant then.

And how did you come by this knowledge that John meant something other than He wrote???? Did you converse with him? visit heaven and talk to him? Have a dream or vision?

Unless you do not live perfectly in thought word or deed and do not slip even for a nanosecond! What happens to those people which includes all believers except for about 12 folk like you who think you no longer need to learn Scriptures because you are fully sanctified and have no need for any more learning and growing.

Well be not concerned. I just missed the caps button. god looks at my heart and not my poor spelling! That is kind of straining at gnats don't you think?

I can understand making a typo once; but doing the same thing a second time reeks of some kind of falsity in your doctrine.

I have missed it far more than twice! If you want to condemn me of false doctrine based on my spelling-be my guest!

Many times I do, sometimes I don't! Maybe this time God had me miss it to flush out your presumptuousness! Seems you are more concerned with the superficial than the heart issue- Presumptuousness is sin- Congratulations! You just committed your first sin since you got filled with the Spirit! Now you can relax and know that Gods love for you has not slipped at all!

I really hat this spirit that you and CL profess to have! For concerned believers almost make it seem like we promote sin (which we don't) We just know mercy and grace and the patience of God in perfecting us.

It is sad you don't need to read the bible anymore! ASfter all being fully sanctified and not sinning anymore you have no more need of instruction from a loving Father. YOu and CL are all grown up and completely perfect in thought word and deed according to you two!

YOU and CL have perfect thoughts, perfect deeds, perfect actions. Never committing a sin of commission or omission! Perfect praise, perfect worship, perfect prayers, perfect supplication! The biblwe says we get that when the Word is fully and completely established i nour hearts! So you and CL have no need for the bible anymore- you don't do anything wrong! Well at least according to you and her. god kn ows differently.

Of course I still need to read the Bible.

How else can we abide in Christ unless we draw up nourishment from the vine? Do we not do this by staying in the word?

Please note that I do not deny that we have a sin nature...I only contend that it can be overcome so that we walk in freedom (John 8:31-36) and victory (1 Corinthians 15:57).

The element of sin can be rendered dead (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any say over our behaviour (Romans 6:14).

The letter kills (2 Corinthians 3:6); and this can be interpreted to mean that we are able to mortify the deeds of the body (Romans 8:13) by staying in the word.

YOU and CL have perfect thoughts, perfect deeds, perfect actions. Never committing a sin of commission or omission! Perfect praise, perfect worship, perfect prayers, perfect supplication!

I do not claim to be perfect in all of these areas.

I claim that it is possible to abide in Christ; and that for those moments when we do abide, we sin not (1 John 3:6). Also that we can abide for ever more (1 John 2:17)

If you know how Hebrew people write, you would know that two of the Semitic writing styles are contrasts and parallelisms. Westerners, like us, are blind to this unless you have advanced study on the habits of the writers of the Bible. Then they are obvious.

1 John 1 have contrasts from verse 5 through 10. Light vs. Darkness. (Chapter 3 is Jesus vs. Devil. See if you can "see" it)

5 - God is LIGHT
6 - If you walk in DARKNESS
7 - If you walk in the LIGHT
8 - If you sin and lie about it you are in DARKNESS
9 - If you become a Christian you are in the LIGHT
10 - If you say you were born sinless you are in DARKNESS

You should be concerned that your poor spelling does not set forth a message that is contrary to the message that God would have you set forth in your posts here.

A few extra seconds can make sure that someone does not stumble or be led astray.

If you have the love of the Lord in your heart, would you not take those extra seconds to make certain that you are not projecting the wrong kind of message?

It does not say that "if you sin and lie about it"...it says, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."

There is nothing there about the possibility that you might not have sin; in which case you can say that you have no sin and not be deceiving yourself.

The scripture here is clear, that everyone has indwelling sin; and to deny this means that self-deception has taken place on the part of the individual.
