I said, Jesus frees us FROM SIN. You are agreeing with that so what is false about it? o_O

The line that you think that some believe Jesus frees us to sin! I teach people we are free to live holy! but sin is still sin even though we have already been judicially forgiven, when we sin we still need Gods experiential forgiveness.

See when a believer sins, He is simply being a disobedient child of god! But they are still a child of God! Just liek when a child disobeys their parents. They are being disobedient- but they are still their child! Even if we "disown" a child, they will always be our child! You cannot change genetics! That is why Jesus said we need to be "re-gened" in JOhn 3:3 born again--- anothen gennao---gened from above!!!!!

I never said it was you are hung up on the winking thing not me. Hate and indifference is murder in Jesus eyes. So not doing the right thing and ignoring it is sin.

Comparing yourself to anyone but Christ is also sin. You want to get into sin then so be it. Lets look at self righteousness and putting yourself above others by don't touch, don't eat, don't drink, what you say or think, having this gift or not having that gift, I'm of Paul, I'm of John, I'm of Peter, I'm not of James etc.....

Look, I have been trying to figure out what you believe. If we are the same, or opposites. But you keep talking out of both sides of your mouth. I believe in holiness, and that Jesus, once he has cleansed us of all sin, including our old carnal nature that loved to sin, and gave us a nature that partakes of the divine nature of God, has no desire to sin any more, and God's grace is that power not to sin. Do you agree, or disagree and why?

Charis is grace. Charis is power. That is why the gifts of the Spirit are called Charismatic gifts. They are power, not fakes.
no its not power you are WRONG

charis: grace, kindness
Original Word: χάρις, ιτος, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: charis
Phonetic Spelling: (khar'-ece)
Definition: grace, kindness
Usage: (a) grace, as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ, (b) favor, (c) gratitude, thanks, (d) a favor, kindness.

Cognate: 5485 xáris (another feminine noun from xar-, "favor, disposed to, inclined, favorable towards, leaning towards to share benefit") – properly, grace. 5485 (xáris) is preeminently used of the Lord's favor – freely extended to give Himself away to people (because He is "always leaning toward them").

5485 /xáris ("grace") answers directly to the Hebrew (OT) term 2580 /Kaná ("grace, extension-toward"). Both refer to God freely extending Himself (His favor, grace), reaching (inclining) to people because He is disposed to bless (be near) them.

[5485 (xáris) is sometimes rendered "thanks" but the core-idea is "favor, grace" ("extension towards").]

do you see POWER above in the definition?

you like making things up don't you.

That is a sin which requires confession, forgiveness and repentance !

An untruth is a lie and a lie is a sin.

hope this helps !!!

Now learn what charis means! It gives us power but it is not power! And we -humans call the gifts of the Spirit "charismatic" but not Scripture. And I believe in the gifts.

yikes

The topic now is saving Grace which leads to Godliness not the gifts that have been done away with and especially the least of all the gifts which you exalt above them all.

What has ever given you the idea that I exalt tongues above the rest if that is what you are referring to. The one I practice is hearing God's voice, not speaking in tongues. But I do understand that Acts 2 is not what you contradict 1 Corinthians 14:2 in order to believe tongues today is not the same. 1 Corinthians 14:38.

What? You didn't like it? Oxford dictionary.
That is not a bible lexicon or dictionary, no wonder you don't knw the meaning of a simple biblical word charis(grace). Its not power as you have falsely claimed.

You write books about the bible and do nor own or use a Strongs concordance ?

Do you look up Hebrew words in the OT the same way ?

BTW- I don't let the WORLD tell me what the bible means or define biblical words.

I already showed you 2 Peter 1:2-4, or was it Ronald. Anyway, Grace is divine power. And 2 Peter 1:9 shows that only our past sins (old sins) were cleansed. You might want to humbly find out what God MEANS, rather that than searching for loopholes to remain a sinner (white-washed tombs, with corruption inside).

grace is not POWER

I challenge you to find that meaning you falsely claim in any N.T. Greek lexicon or dictionary.

Be humble and quit judging those in Christ with different view on non essential doctrines.

I think the the question is concerning what that holiness really is, and how do we obtain it?

Much love!

Just an FYI we are not "fighting" holiness just the opposite in that a biblical understanding of Grace turns one from sin and to pleasing God.

Titus 2:11-13
For the grace of God
has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

I would rather read and learn what the Jewish apostles mean. They are the ones inspired.

One of the Semitic writing styles of Jews is called parallelisms. Writing the same thing twice using different words for clarity. One word explains the other. Here are a couple examples if you want to learn advanced theology, and not just what tickles your ears.

Acts 4:33
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
And great grace was upon them all.

1 Corinthians 1:
4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, 6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (That is why the Book of Revelation is about the second coming of Christ.)

And oh look: the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge

Humble yourself and want to learn. I do know what I'm talking about.

Titus 2:11-13
11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
My answer is that we obtain holiness through Christ in our new creation.

And I agree completely . . . when we understand His mercy and grace we trust Him unto sanctification.

Much love!
