He is a man of God. :)

He speaks the uncompromised truth.

2 Timothy 4:2-4
2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Bye!

That is pastor, teacher John MacArthur. Thank you so much for posting that passage. He is rebuking you in those books.

I looked the verse up in several prominent versions of Scripture and it definitely says Aramaic. The NAB says "Hebrew Dialect" but the footnote says "Aramaic Hebrew". However, I can't see that this is any kind of issue.

The Greek word that is used is Ἑβραΐδι Ἑβραΐς hebrais and it identifies the Hebrew language.

The issue is the superiority of the kjv to other translations of the Bible.

Why would other translations get this detail wrong?

And if they got this detail wrong, what other details have they gotten wrong in all of their translating process?

While you have addressed @Christophany, the answer is rather simple. No doctrine is made up from just one verse. So this verse must be properly interpreted in the light of the entire Word of God. Which tells us that Jesus is indeed GOD manifest in the flesh. And since the JW's have deliberately corrupted John 1:1, even that one single verse totally refutes their false teaching.

Nevertheless it is written that the scripture cannot be broken; and therefore we must come up with a solid defense against this argument, lest we be found denying what is written in specific verses of the Bible.

I stopped engaging the poster, good luck.

Who have you stopped engaging with? me, or @Christophany?

If you have stopped engaging with me, I am uncertain of the reason why.

Would you at least let me know what your reasoning is, if you have indeed stopped engaging with me? Because I think that you might have me mixed up with someone else.

We will see at judgment day. We are also responsible for who we chose to side with as teachers. I chose God alone. You are just like your teachers, and interestingly I want to take a bath after reading some of your posts. And I am like mine.

I sure would like to see why it was called strange fire and what it consisted of.
There were no differences with the type of fire that was offered by these men. It was because they were not divinely appointed to make offerings to the Lord. They had the mistaken impression that because they were the sons of Aaron that they had the right to make the offerings. But they were not the divinely appointed priests or Levites, and because they made their offerings through self will and not through the will of God, they suffered the judgment of God and lost their lives.

It is a lesson to us to make sure that we are called of God to whatever ministry we engage in. If we are not appointed and anointed of God for a particular ministry, and we engage in it, we are being disobedient to the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit distributes His gifts as He wills, to manifest a gift because we think we want to and not because the Holy Spirit has anointed us, is to use the gift out of self will and not through the Holy Spirit. Because of this, there is widespread misuse of the gifts thereby bringing the Charismatic movement into disrepute.

In summary, the offering of strange fire is the act of intruding into an area of ministry where God has not appointed or anointed us. For example, William Branham was a unique prophet, and this was his anointing. But he wanted to be a Bible teacher, and he tried to enter into that ministry, and as a result taught many false doctrines and brought major division into the body of Christ. He lost his life before his time in a motor vehicle accident. In essence, he lost his life because he offered "strange fire".

Truth is on my side and James agrees with Paul :)

And so does Dr MacArthur :)

And Jesus- all men as His 12 Disciples/Apostles

You have fallen prey to liberalism, feminism which is antigod in the church and the family. Submission to men is Gods way, always has been.

The curse of eve to usurp Gods authority.

Interesting, Paul. I've heard of Branham, and met one of the members of his denomination. But I really don't know what he taught - do you? I'm not a prophetess, even though at times I do have the gift of prophecy. But God did speak to me and told me He was giving me the "office of teacher," and can teach both women and men. But I cannot claim the office of prophet, so don't use it in public. But for myself, personally, it has been wonderful.

So, don't pay any attention to what @CharismaticLady says on these forums. She is not teaching you. She is teaching women; and any man who considers that the Holy Spirit can speak through a woman to their situation.

I don't believe that she is usurping authority over anyone here.

But it is your loss if there is something that the Spirit might want to say to you through her and you reject that word of wisdom because the gender of the vessel through which it has been brought to you is female. The Holy Spirit is neither male nor female; and if He says something to you through her, you ought to listen and not harden your heart.

God has designed in His 2 institutions of Family and the Church that men are the authority and women are to submit to their leadership period, that is Gods design.

But hey let her lead you astray that is your choice.

Its black and white in scripture no room for gray. But hey you bought into liberalism hook, line and sinker.

hope this helps !!!

One of the signs is that a ministry bears good fruit, and another is that it is recognised by those in the body of Christ who are receiving the ministry. Being approved of God will mean that one is approved of genuine believers in the body of Christ, and that the fruit of the ministry upholds sound Scriptural doctrine.

So, if the recipients of your teaching are blessed and brought closer to Christ and are built up in the holy faith, then you can have the assurance that your ministry is approved of God. If your prophecies encourage, build up, comfort and exhort other members of the body of Christ and point them to Christ as the basis of their faith and trust, then you can also have the assurance that they originate from the Holy Spirit.

Well, Branham had quite a fruitful ministry, so how was that strange fire?

Branham is another nut job who was visited numerous times by an angel he claimed since his childhood. A real whack job who was guided by demons. The word of faith false teachers are deceivers.

Matthew 24:23-27
Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man

Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12
Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Revelation 13:13-14
He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who *had the wound of the sword and has come to life.

hope this helps !!!

Now along with the OP's notion of God's word...

In Hebrew God's word is "Torah".
The Hebrew word for spiritually clean is Tohorah.

Torah Tohorah....the Word of God cleans you.

Greetings in Christ

If we analyse the expression "Word of God" by the Spirit of God, and not by spirit of man, we will see and feel

how great and deep is the expression "Word of God". I say this because the Word is God, yeah, the Word is God.

First, in JESUS was the Word-God, JESUS was before the world was. All things were made by Him
(because the Word-God- was in JESUS); and without JESUS was not any thing made that was made. The Word, yeah, the Word is God. Very profound. The Word was made flesh and take for Himself the name of JESUS.

Hebrews 1:v.1-3
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

I certainly am not following you around but I bring my answers in every relevant thread.

I think that perhaps you think too highly of yourself.

@BreadOfLife thought something similar and was also wrong about the issue.
