Again, you are "mind reading", and you aren't doing a good job.

If you think you have to qualify for the status, you are working for it, which introduces legalism into your mindset, which empowers sin.

But when you realize that all you have you have in Christ, you don't work of any of it, and instead enjoy the benefit, including the victory over sin.

Much love!

Definition of Complacency:
complacency
[kəmˈplāsənsē]
NOUN
  1. a feeling of smug or uncritical satisfaction with oneself or one's achievements.
"the figures are better, but there are no grounds for complacency"
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (Revelation 3:17)

Remember this was written to Born again believers in a church, not the unsaved.

You don't seem to have much regard for the people of God, or the working of the Holy Spirit in His people.

Do you think I'm afraid to die?

Did I say You? Or was I speaking of the church in general? You read yourself into the comment. That is conviction of the Holy Spirit. Do Not quench the Spirit.

But there's the question . . .

Do you think I'm afraid to die?

OK, again, then, I'll stand corrected.

You don't think I'm complacent or afraid of death. You don't think I'm trading a vital and living faith for some dead-letter emptiness. And you don't think I'm afraid of the working of the Holy Spirit.

I must have seriously misunderstood!

Much love!

No, The doctrine of the church today is complacent, and afraid of the working of the Holy Spirit. You are reading this as an accusation, or I should say the Holy Spirit may be convicting you of these things in your own life. Has the Holy Spirit ever corrected you like this before? This is a lifelong thing that occurs in all born again believers as we are made aware of errors or omissions in our understanding and when we heed His teaching and conviction We GROW IN GRACE. (2 Peter 3:18) Understand???

He has already transformed us inside, and it training us to live according to that transformation.

The Holy Spirit is not an "it" But a "He". He is God with us, Emmanuel. He is making this earthen vessel an Holy sacrifice acceptable to the LORD, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1-2)

Are you done now being offended? if so go back to comment 36 and reply to the scriptures i gave you about saints dying to answer your query and we can have a civil discussion? If not I take it you concede you have no response to those scriptural points.

To be clear, I point to these things because of how they detract from reasonable discussion, not because of some emotional state. I guess that's how it is for many, that someone say something about them, like,

You won't recognize the truth I'm telling you because you are afraid of what God may do in you,

Yes, I realize that there are people who would become angry. But here again, you can interact with me . . . or you can interact with your assumptions about me.

Much love!
