We wouldn't want a case of religious liberty to break out, would we?

Liberty to do what? Act contrarilly to your brethren? To worship God according to your ordinances and not His?
What does 'religious liberty" mean to you?

Peace!

What happened to "Thank you for your honesty?" I guess you're taking that back, eh? Just looking for some older stuff to cut up, maybe?
Both are true. You were honest when you said that you were not familiar with every aspect of discipline and order in your church AND that is what I thanked you for in post #415 soooo NO I am not taking that back.

At no time did you say Prior to post #407 “ the clergy is disciplined by the orthodoxy,“.

You DID NOT say what you allege or think you said. That is why I said “go back and read what you wrote please.” The search option on this website revealed your confusion. But instead of admitting that you are wrong you question me.....sad, so sad

Can you expand on that for me?

Just to be clear, i think everyone must be true to their concience, else theyre lying to themselves...

Peace!
Then we agree. Unless you believe everyone must be true to their conscience, unless it compels them to act contrarily to their brethren, as you put it.

Dear Barny,

Excellent.

That brings me back to this:

Liberty to do what? Act contrarilly to your brethren? To worship God according to your ordinances and not His?

It seems to me that well formed concience would be one that is more and more attuned to the Fathers will no?

"I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,

so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.

And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one,

I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me.

You too! Are welcome to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb of God!

Peace be with you!

You mind if i change that statement up just a wee bit .
Just to be clear , I think everyone must be true to the Word of God , else they are just deceiving themselves .

Thanks, we didn't have any this year. :D

Being a former Catholic... and seeing what goes on in these forums with regards to those who think it's their job to
protect their "religion"... I have come to see and understand that Catholicism is not a conversation worth having.
There are several who come here to simply cause strife and unnecessary division.

However... I will put in a good word for Philip James because he represents himself with humility and without a hidden agenda..( or so I have noticed ).

He does seem harmless enough, I've noticed.

You should explain how certain members are here simply to "cause strife and unnecessary division" anyway. Until you do it is just an unproven claim.
That's the way it'll be, then, I guess. :p
