For all on this thread who have taken of late to insult instead of debate, I want to bring up the following.

I will not apologize for believing in the biblical truths of election, predestination ad foreknoweldge. I have been accussed of making soul winning illogical if the saved are elect and going to get saved anyway. Well I do believe that and here are things I have had the privilege of doing in 46 years of walking with the Lord:

1. Preach to the lost on radio
2. preach to the lost on TV
3. Preach to the lost in local newspapers.
4. Even got a chance to do so in Time magazine once!
5. Preached the gospel on four continents (China, Argentina, Mexico< Canada, Israel, the Caribbean and America)
6. Been an unpaid chaplain for over 8 years at a county jail and preached to thousands over that time. Personally prayed with over 650 men to receive Christ.
7. Walked the streets , gone to parks preaching to the lost!
8. gone into Kingdom Halls to preavh to those lost. As well as to their regional conferences (until I was escorted out)
9. Went on athiest websites to preach thee until banned.

All this from one who knows that the saved are the elect from the foundation of the word. That God chooses us long before we ever chose HIm. that free will does not exist in fallen man but is restored once one gets saved.

I hope you free willers out there do at least as much.

Well Paul is writing to believers and as I have repeatedly said, when a person is saved they have free will restored unto them.

Well I don't care what Calvinism teaches, I care about the Bible. and the bible says the unsaved man does not receive the things of God nor can they do anything that pleases God <fify>, nor is there any good thing in their human nature.

This is a stronghold of the enemy in your thinking.

I think you are angry because I've shown your theology doesn't actually work, as have others. I mean, threatening not to communicate because someone tells you where they believe your theology logically leads isn't exactly being mature.

Disclaimer . . . this isn't what I believe . . .

We preach to the unsaved because we don't know who is predestined for salvation, and God determined to use the preaching of the Gospel to impart faith to the elect.

If the elect all had a blue stripe on their back, we'd just look to see who has the stripe. But they don't. Instead, they come alive at the Word of God. So we share the Word of God to see who comes alive.

I don't think you will find many unsaved on the Christian forums, more likely in "the dens of iniquity." So if you want a work to do, go there.

However Satan, seeks who he may devour, and from his point of view, it makes sense for his minions to come where the saints are gathered together. We recognise the false teachers, and as many here oppose your teaching, clearly you "are not one of us." Jesus said to Satan, "get thee behind me," and he was right.

I had a very dear Christian friend who lost his faith because he was persuaded by your people he was not predestined. He, his wife and two children became atheists and left the Baptist Church they had attended for years. It was all due to the preaching of the predestined so called "chosen ones." They remind me of the Pharasees who seemed to think they had been specially chosen. They would never have washed the feet of Jesus, but I would think it an honour. One day, I hope to kneel at his feet. In the meantime I hope to do, as He would have me do.

Well as you are the one who loves flinging mud at people. You shouldn't call anyone a Pharisee.

And I cannot help how error with some people forced someone out of a church. And you are arrogant enough to believe that others are arrogant enough to know who is predestined or not!

Though you can't believe it, All I wish is to swerve the Lord and defend His word from people who have been taught wrong.

I was a free willer. Fought for it and damned Calvinism like you do. Until I really got down to study SCripture.

Simply? Because we are commanded to! Jesus commissioned the chruch to go out and bring in the lost sheep and bring the Wheat into the Storehouses.

All my preaching doesn't save a soul. The Holy Spirit does. I don't know who is predestined or not. God does. If I don't obery? I lose out on blessings and god will raise up someone else to do the job He called me to do! Not one of Gods sheep will ever be lost.

BTW I know of many people who were close to me, who accepted the Arimnius position that one could lose their salvation and walked away from the faith, because they kept being taught that they were sinners.
