I just meant to be cute...ish...

Ah okay and I wanted to make a correction about my news before. I am currently unofficially eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine if there are unfilled appointments. Next week I become officially eligible. :D

Btw, sorry I disappeared but I went out for a bit so my parody is going to be ready later. :) Also, I hope tonight it's clearer what the homework assignment is and I do wish my homework for school would have been to watch a movie lol :D (Slam Dunk Ernest as a reminder that's on YouTube free movies if you can't watch it any other way. :) ) Oh and I think it might have been a combination of allergies and weather changing as to why I was sick this morning as rain is supposedly coming tonight and it's supposed to rain for the next few days.

Hope you feel better! I got sick from a handful of cashews. I have some mild nut/soy allergies and every once in a while I forget about it.

@April_Rose Have you ever thought about volunteering or teaching for a youth group? It sounds like something that you would really enjoy doing and that you would be good at. Picked up on that after the Cheetah Girls lyrics. Sounds like a job you'd be perfect for! You have a knack for youthfulness.

Before we get to today's lesson, I just wanted to answer these and start off by saying some things. I am currently having a bit of a rough morning because although I really am trying to develop more patience there is somebody on here that is really pushing my buttons right now and due to the TOS I can't say who,.. but I only ask that you pray for me so I learn not how to blow my top every time he opens his mouth at me. I also forgot to mention yesterday that when I went for a walk with a friend I was practicing kindness and consideration because even though I was pretty sure that I didn't have Covid-19 I figured that it was better to be safe than sorry so I figured that wearing a mask would be the best thing for her protection even though she's already been vaccinated there's still a slim chance that she can develop it. :) (Also with the first part that I mentioned I think this just goes to show that I'm not perfect and I acknowledge it. So I don't think these lessons are about trying to develop perfection, they're about acknowledging that you aren't but still trying to live a life pleasing God anyways. :) )

Well I promised that I wouldn't post about this publicly anymore so I won't.

Thanks, that's probably because I absolutely refuse to grow up. :D I'm not sure how I would go about trying to get involved with something like that though. :/

Anyways guys, before I get started with today's topic/lesson I just wanted to let all of you know that I made up the questions for the quiz of Slam Dunk Ernest last night so if you watched the movie (like you were supposed to do lol JK :p) just let me know and I'll PM you the questions so there's no cheating involved. :D

So yeah, the reason why I had you guys watch it is because Ernest learns that before he can expect others to respect him, he has to first respect himself and not try to be better than everybody else is respecting them. Cause even though this goes back to our very first lesson on Saturday, to have friends you need to be a friend first. :D So yeah, today's topic is all about respect and I have a few questions for you guys but before I post them let's let Aretha kick things off. :D (RIP girlfriend.)

So here are my questions for you guys today.

1. What does respect mean to you?

2. How do you think you can show respect towards somebody?

3. How can we still respect our parents when we're adults?

4. How can we respect ourselves?

5. How can we show respect towards God?

These are my answers. :)

1. Respect to me means showing kindness towards others even when you disagree with them.
2. You could show respect towards others by listening to them even if you don't agree with what they have to say.
3. This could apply to both of my other answers as well.
4. We can respect ourselves by always trying our best and thinking of others first.
5. We can respect God by following His commands.

Which my last answer leads me to today's Bible verse.

John 14:15 "If you love me, keep my commands."

That's all for today's lesson and there's no homework today so enjoy the rest of your day and I hope that you enjoyed today's lesson. Tomorrow's lesson will be all about acceptance. :)

I really am trying to develop more patience

May Abba Yah Breathe His Holy Breath into this Body, that Yahshua ha Mashiach live His Life through these lowly vessels to build each other up. .Amen

Well I promised that I wouldn't post about this publicly anymore so I won't.

Oh okay, sis., I'm sorry if my comment made you feel less than, or something.

*I just feel uneasy about it...

I will say a prayer for you... Maybe it's a blessing! You get to practice what you're teaching and the experience makes for a better study! :D

How to get involved in a youth group? When in doubt, email or Facebook a pastor! That's how I would do it. :D If you had said you were like an event coordinator or a youth leader I would have totally been like "YEP."

1. What does respect mean to you?
Just having consideration and caring

2. How do you think you can show respect towards somebody?
Treat them kindly and I agree that listening is a good way.

3. How can we still respect our parents when we're adults?

Call them. lol I live in WA. My mom lives all the way in ND and my dad lives in another state. I'm not near my parents so my best option is just to call them. Usually I just call my mom. I don't argue with my parents, ever. If I don't agree with something, I leave it alone. Really just show up and listen. I try to send pictures of the kids and they really need that.

4. How can we respect ourselves?

Modesty, have higher standards for the way people treat you, have higher standards for yourself. Learn to say no.

5. How can we show respect towards God?

"If you love me, you will keep my commands."

Wow, I guess today was like two lessons in one. Being a Christian doesn't mean you have to be perfect all the time. In fact it's impossible to reach perfect and that's why we need a Savior. :)

I got to go change my sheets now but I was just listening to my Cheetah Girl parody again and how true the words are.

"We make up God's great big family although we don't look the same" and "we make each other stronger and that ain't ever gonna change!!" Cause we're His children brothers and sisters!!! :D It sort of looks like that was part of a contemporary Christian song all along doesn't it?

Okay guys I don't have anything else to say before I get started with today's lesson so I'm going to jump right into it and it's very short and sweet today. It's all about acceptance. :)

Now often people that I've run into (online for the most part) start confusing the word acceptance with the word agree. What I'm talking about here are LGBTQ people. Hate the sin and love the sinner is the first thing that comes to mind when I start talking about and thinking about this. Now when it comes to the word acceptance, it doesn't necessarily always mean that either. It could also mean people who were born different (like me) with disabilities. So let's see what Jesus has to say about this.

Mark 12:31 "The second is this. Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no command greater than these."

Pretty straightforward there guys and so my question for all of you is how can we do that when it isn't always easy to do? (I'm talking about the Bible verse not accepting people as that shouldn't be rocket science yet it seems rather complicated at times.) So other than that question that's it for the day and I'm going to leave you with the following song. :) I hope you all have a wonderful day, no homework again, so enjoy the rest of your day and I really hope that you enjoyed today's lesson. Tomorrow's lesson will be all about love. :)

I don't know if you know this or not, probably not because I don't talk about it, but my former roommate was part of LGBTQ. I think she would have been called what they call "non-binary." (I think... kind of like in between somewhere.) That was not part of my lifestyle at all, but I didn't really care. She died in a fire a week after I gave birth about seven years ago. I get what you're saying. :)

I always treated everyone with the same respect, but since the Bible says that we're not supposed to judge people outside of the church because that's God's job (1 Cor 5:12), I just don't, but I regret not praying. Things could have been different.

You have a good day, too :)

Aww,.. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. :( Those people need to know that God loves them too and a gay person can be saved just as much as a straight person. I don't see their sins any different than those who lie, cheat, cuss, etc.

Okay guys I apologize for running late today (and I might be on Sunday as well) but just like I already told you yesterday today's topic is all about love. So since love means different things for all of us I'm just going to simply ask you a question of what love means to you. :)

For me personally, love means thinking about others before yourself and meeting their needs before yours. The greatest love story at all proves this with Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and it also has to do with today's Bible verse.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

I will also leave you guys with a beautiful song about the topic and since tomorrow's topic is all about family tonight's homework is to do something nice for a member or members of your family. Whether it would be to help them out with something, do something without expecting anything in return, or just simply visiting them or giving them a call and tell them you love them. It's completely up to you. :)

Aprrrrilllllll, you just started it like how long ago...?

...and weren't the first few posts about... patience...or something....?

Personally, I like the thread, but I have a lot on my plate these days. I read almost all of the content, but I honestly don't do alot of clicking on the videos...I mean, you should know by now that I'm always listening to YouTube music and I post much of it in the music thread ( I probably post more YouTube videos than anything else)...so, I only have room for one vid. at a time. I listen to music and read stuff here and I'm usually practicing my music and/or doing by Bible study homework as well.

You are like one of the most prolific posters here girl, give us some more time to ketchup...
