Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.
You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.
We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!
Which is why I am not a Catholic. Paganism couched in warping God's word is decidedly uncool.
There isn't going to be a physical mark until
Revelation 16:2
And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
Have you ever looked into what "Vicar of Christ" means? ..the nerve of some people.
The biggest issue is the way they tricked you into changing Sabbath to Sunday ..they literally tried to change the Ten Commandments.
Who do you think "changed" the day? And when? Christians were already worshiping on Sunday. Jesus fulfilled all the holy convocations of Leviticus 23, including the first one listed, the weekly Sabbath. Keeping a physical day as law is the letter. Jesus is the Spirit of the law. Worshiping on Sunday is not a change in the law. There is no law to "keep" Sunday. It is a celebration day of His Resurrection and also the start of the New Covenant, and the end of the Mosaic law.
Are you holding to all Ten Commandments ..or not?
The New Covenant started at death by the rules:
Hebrews 9:16-17
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
That doesn't say when they received the mark. It looks like they already had them before they were plagued with sores.
The Ten Commandments were the ministry of death. It was the Old Covenant. We are under a New Covenant, the Covenant of the Spirit, not the Law.
2 Corinthians 3:6-11.
6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. 10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. 11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
I already explained "right hand" and "forehead" in the first post. Sorry, you don't get a tattoo of 666
oh, I see, so the Ten Commandments became optional ..cool
The laws of the New Covenant are deeper than the Ten Commandments, and they are written on our hearts. That is why we must be born again.
1 John 3:21-24
21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. 24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
