Of course, Barnabas encouraged the believers at Antioch to cleave unto the Lord (Acts of the Apostles 11:22-24).

As a matter of fact, scripture teaches us that those who are water-baptized are more inclined to believe (Luke 7:29-30).
I do not have to hold on tightly to my faith in order to keep faith in Jesus.

You are trying to prove that water saves.
That's blasphemy against, the Savior.

Also, what you teach is that if you lose your faith, or , if you dont hold unto it, you will go to hell after you die.
And you'll teach this Gospel perversion again, because your faith, in your mind and heart, is your savior, and as long as you dont lose it, you'll stay saved.

Deny it and lie again (willfully).

It is so odd that you think this receipt is one and done.
.

Salvation is not a process.
Its a Gift, that was created by God on the Cross and through His Shed Blood.
When you are redeemed by this gift, you can believe its finished, as being born again proves very clearly.
If you dont believe this, then that is because you are trying to keep yourself saved, and that means that you are "fallen from Grace".

In yesterday's Devotional Reading I came across this verse that I believe is germane to our conversation and wanted to share it. In short, doing your job is being faithful and loyal; not doing your job is not being faithful and loyal.

It will go well with that servant if he is found doing his job when his master comes ... But if that servant <does not do his job> ... his master will cut him in two and put him with the disloyal.
Luke 12:43, 45, 46 (CJB)

He accepted your faith, at that time, to complete Salvation.
Faith is accepted, and then God does the rest.
We dont do it, we RECEIVE IT.
Its "the GIFT of Salvation".
And you keep the free gift you received by faith by continuing to have that faith. We can argue all day long if the person who received that free gift can stop believing or not, but what's important is that you do what the Bible tells you to do.....KEEP BELIEVING. Your argument that you continue to have the free gift you got by faith if you stop believing is a complete joke. You'd do better just to go back to the original osas teaching that says the person who stops believing was never really saved to begin with. At least that argument defends the Bible's admonitions to keep believing to the very end. That's what's important.

That's blasphemy against, the Savior.

Prove it, scripturally.

You can't; because such an idea cannot be found in the holy scriptures.

Also, what you teach is that if you lose your faith, or , if you dont hold unto it, you will go to hell after you die.

Not exactly; but that is true.

If you cease to have faith in Jesus Christ, you will cease to have access to grace (Romans 5:1-2); and therefore you will no longer be saved (Ephesians 2:8-9)

And you'll teach this Gospel perversion again, because your faith, in your mind and heart, is your savior, and as long as you dont lose it, you'll stay saved.

Yours is the gospel perversion. You would give sinners leeway to deny Christ and would tell them that they will still go to heaven even though they might do so.

If you are wrong (and you are wrong) then you are encouraging people to depart from the faith so that they will not go to heaven.

And you call me a deceiver...

Sure i can.
We are justified by Faith.
"the work of God is that you BELIEVE on Jesus, whom God sent".

Now, you teach that Water is all that.
You are a deceiver.

What you just said, not only makes no sense..

You'll never find me telling people to "deny Christ".

Round and round we go...

It should be clear that I do not teach that the waters of baptism have any magical properties to save;

But that going under the water is a perfect representation of being buried and risen with Christ.

And that therefore being water baptized in Jesus' Name is a confession of Jesus before men (see Matthew 10:32, Luke 12:8) in that we identify with Him in it, in His death, burial, and resurrection.

There is what is called "faith in the operation of God" (Colossians 2:12 (kjv)).

What you just said, not only makes no sense, but sound kinda crazy.

You'll never find me telling people to "deny Christ".
So really, are you just really over medicated right now, as what you are saying contains no reality, or truth.
No, I am not over-medicated right now.

You teach that if someone denies Christ / ceases to have faith, that they will continue to be saved after falling away.

No one said salvation is a process.

Yes, hence Matthew 7:21. Just because 'clean' is not a process does not mean it is impossible me to get dirty again. By default, I am in my Father's Will. However, my own actions can lead to disinheritance. Hence, Luke 12:43, 45, 46.

Sanctification is a process (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Agreed. I keep the 2 straight this way. Being saved is to face your maker. You can be very close to him but turn your back on him. Not good. Sanctification is working to get closer and closer to your Creator.

Someone who devoted their life to Christ but turns that back on him is in worse shape than the thief on the cross, who turned to God in the final moments.

as for me. I have been a prodigal son left god for 5 years. But I never stopped trusting God for salvation.
You didn't stop believing. That's the difference. That's this.....

if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 2 Timothy 2:13

Not this.......

If we disown him, he will also disown us 2 Timothy 2:12
I've heard lots of stories like yours, and praise God for them, but I've never heard of a Christ denier coming back to faith.

How is this.....
If you CONTINUE........if you DO THIS.........you keep the FREE GIFT.

Wake up.
Your deception is wide and clear.
....different than this?

If you BELIEVE........if you DO THIS.........you get the FREE GIFT.

It isn't different of course. Wake up!

It should be clear that I do not teach that the waters of baptism have any magical properties to save;

Its clear that you have stopped, as of today.
I suppose i can find your posts where you state that water has the power to save, but, then again, you might have gone back and edited them out.
I'll just wait till you give water credit for salvation, again.
Then we'll talk more about it.

No, ive never used the term "denied Christ".
That is Ferris defining something he does not understand, when i tell him that he is trying to stay saved by holding onto his faith.
And then you quoting him, thinking i said it.

However, if you lose faith, fall away, etc........and you were born again before you did, you are just as saved as the Blood Of Jesus has the power to cleanse you of all sin, including those, and all others..
See, sin was dealt with by God on the Cross, and you denying it, wont change it for me, or for any real believer.
Once you are born again, you are always born again, and how you think or believe, later, has no effect on the NEW BIRTH.
