Yes, you are saying the Word of God in 1 Tim. 2 "leads to nowhere."

The Lord Jesus loves you not for what you do, but for His mercy.
I'm saying..
READ MY LIPS
Your going Nowhere
Be nice, stop being such a brat.
Treat people respectfully and you will be respected.
Keep putting people down regardless of their gender (apparently you have women issues)
seeing there is neither male nor female, now your talking to the brethren here.. understand that..
That we being the body of our Lord will not allow OUTSIDERS to come in and attack us.

Now you can come in, sit down, dine at the table, chew on some GOOD conversation,
or you can leave.
If you decide to stay and remain unpalatable..
we'll just spew you out of our mouth.

I'm watching you, your a pretty rude little fellow.
Stop it

I've never reported anyone, but your getting close.
I believe this is in the scriptures, but I would have to copy paste most of the bible to make it clear to you.
Just, be nice.
Stop attacking people.

Does that work? ie, fighting fire with fire?

1 Tim. 2 is God's instruction for earrings. Did you have an emotional problem there? Is Paul "attacking" people?

Remember, speaking about "earrings" is not attacking people. Speaking to the arrogance of earrings is helping them. Okay?

Thanks for your help

They use it on California wild fires I believe.

You know the best way to cure heartburn?
A good swig of Cider Vinegar.
I kid you not.

But then again..
I been watching you do it, so....
it must be the right thing to do
right?
:p

You might reconsider what ‘fire’ is intended to mean.
I think in California they back burn so that when the fire arrives it has no more fuel.

I understand what your TRYING to say,
it's just not being appoached in a respectful manner.
There is nothing wrong with earrings or people that wear earrings.
If there is a problem, it's not a physical problem it's a heart problem.
I honestly believe Paul is talking about women who adorn themselves for the purpose of attracting men.
Let's say prostitute. They are looking for physical attraction. Not necessarily at home.

But if a woman wants to make herself look nice for her husband or boyfriend, I don't see a problem.
I don't think Paul had a problem, but alas, he's dead and I can't ask him.

What I can do is ask the Lord, how you feel about women wearing earrings?
This is what the Lord says:
Eze 16:8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
Eze 16:9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
Eze 16:10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
Eze 16:11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
Eze 16:12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
Eze 16:13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
Eze 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

It's what happened after that I believe Paul is warning about...

Eze 16:15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
Eze 16:16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.
Eze 16:17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,
Eze 16:18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
Eze 16:19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.

1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1Ti 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

It's not the fact that a woman wears anything whether it be nice clothes, or jewelry, or perfume.
It's, having trust in those things beauty, instead of ones own inner beauty.

So yeah, I agree to some extent what your saying, but your not seeing the whole picture.
Your just judging according to appearences on the outside, when you should be looking at the heart.

To be honest,
I've had a bit of an evening... tired grumpy..
I fell asleep and called my dad 45 minutes later than I should have.
We have this agreement, I call him at 6pm and he won't call the cops on me to see if I'm dead.
So, when I called he was rather abrupt, and it has been hanging on me all night.
So, I'm kind of looking for fire and Jared is supplying it..
and I need to stop too.

But there is a way to say things, and then there's a way not to say things.
And I'm having an issue with condenscending attitudes.
I don't wear jewelry or make up or perfume. I don't even own a dress forget about shoes.
This isn't about me.
It's about how others are being looked down upon, judged, and criticised.
And I don't like that.

All I'm asking is to come at a topic in a humble way, not in an accusatory way.
Hugs

For decades and decades, in the Western world at least, the rough equivalent of men wearing neckties in a fairly formal situation has been widely regarded for women to wear at least a simple pair of earrings. There is no rule about it, of course, but this has been a very wide convention.

Thus young women (Christian; non-Christian) see it suitable to pierce their ears, even as some young men (Christian; non-Christian) might keep a necktie or two in their closets.

Like it, dislike it, fine.

But it's fact. And a fact that has been there for decades.

well zig zag, if it’s any consolation I don’t wear jewellery or make up or perfume or dresses either, and shoes, well I’ve had the same pair for over ten years and they’re not wearing out...maybe it’s got something to do with hardly wearing them....so, here’s my instruction for a condescender hater.... call ya dad on time.... set the timer on ya phone....and whistle Dixie.

In the last 5 years, I've been late 3 times. That includes this evening.
I just dosed off. When I opened my eyes.. OH OH...
45 minutes late.
The time before... over a year ago.. I was 1 hour late, but then I was to call at 8pm and at 9pm police were tapping on my bedroom window.
I didn't hear the phone at the other end of the house, so that really freaked him out.

Mind you, before I came to live where I am, I spoke to my father sometimes less than once a year.
He never called me, and I didn't want to get involved between him and his girlfriend. (she hates me and I have no idea why)
So not calling isn't something "new"
But when I moved here, and he believed that I was disabled (I don't think he believed me before, he just thought I was lazy)
then he got all this concern and told me to call him everynight.
Which like I said, I have. I have not missed 1 call.
I only been late by an hour at the most.
In the last 5 years.

I think things are going on where he is too. And maybe he was having a bad day.
I rather he just move in with me. I don't think it's healthy where he is,
but he has to make that decision.
She is hardly ever home. Her son is an arrogant snot.
And my father can barely walk, forget prepare his own meals, or even wash his own hair.
When he comes over on occasion I help him shave, wash his hair, upper body wash, whatever he needs.
But lately he is having trouble even coming over here.
This is his trailer I'm staying in on his property. I wouldn't be doing him a favour. I owe it to him for all he has done for me.

I figured out how to set the alarm on this weird little clock I found. I set it for 6pm.
Hopefully, if I should dose off, it will work LOL.
I probably won't dose off for at least another year though..
It's 2:30 am. I haven't slept a full 8 hours for .... I don't even remember.
I nap. and tonight I napped at the wrong time.. LOL
aw well,
better luck tomorrow..

I am sure that no Christian young woman would even think to ask me what I thought as regards whether she should pierce her ears. It wouldn't even occur to them to ask me. My worthless 2c would, however, be, Do it if you wish, a suitably benign thing to do (like a man wearing a necktie).

The thing is walking up to a Christian young woman and telling them that they are arrogant for wearing earrings.
Now that's arrogant.
1Sa 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

@Ziggy For decades there have been many, many Godly women - young / mature - with studs etc. in double pierced ears, let alone single pairs of piercings. This just a plain, overwhelmingly obvious fact; not that it even is worth extrapolating some supposedly deep meaning to it. (The title of the thread seems truly very unusual...)
