Does this mean anything or is it just hype?

Does anyone know much about Benazir Bhutto s announcement some time ago that he was dead, before she was killed?

The original story was published by the Russian news agency Pravda.
It accompanied a youtube video interview by David Frost. The youtube link is no longer valid. The text was deleted long ago.

Here is the text of the original story from Pravda..........

"Benazir Bhutto, who was killed in a suicide attack at the end of 2007 stated in November that the Osama bin Laden, the head of the international terrorist network al-Qaida, had been killed. Bhutto claimed that she even knew the man who had killed the prime suspect of 9/11 terrorist attacks in the USA. According to Bhutto’s words, Bin Laden was killed by Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh – one of those convicted of kidnapping and killing U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl."

The point of the video was that Mr. Frost had no visual reaction to Bhutto's statement. He completely ignored her remark and continued with his line of questioning. Those that saw the video, myself included, thought his reaction or the lack of it rather odd. Was it true or was it deliberate misinformation? hmmm

Either way bin Laden is gone for good from the world scene.
I for one am glad at not having to listen to his threats of murder and violence any more.

The media is trying hard to downplay bin Laden's role in international terrorism by saying that someone else will certainly take up where he left off. Someone may indeed try, but I doubt that there are few such men who have bin Laden's personal resume and international fame. Like it or not, he was a person of note. Such qualities of character are hard to find especially among the illiterate unwashed thugs of international Islamic terrorism.

The bottom line is that bin Laden is out of our hair forever.

The only one who could replace him is al-Mahdi, a device of Islamic radicalism but not a real person.

Will there be Muslim reprisals for bin Laden's death?
No doubt there will be.
The only way to advance the lie of Islam is by brutality and death.

Pakistan is now complaining about the OBL raid.
I suppose their leaders have to do it to save face.

Do you suppose they are now so angry they will refuse to accept our foreign aid?

The last time I looked, they were supposed to be our ally against terrorism.
Instead they are hypocritical, duplicitous or incompetent.

If they're going to act like the Three Stooges you'd think they'd suck it up and move on.
If they're traitorous, return the big check.

Then again they're Muslim, and to expect honesty in this situation is a stretch.

Maybe you should ask the Kurdish people in Northern Iran about America's view of commitment - talk about hypocrisy.

I've been seeing these days, that the issue of non-violence and "loving your enemies" is very devisive among Christians. Most Christians simply do not think that it is necessary to "turn the other cheek" and "love your enemies." The whole event regarding Bin Laden is bringing this out very clearly.

I choose to "turn the other cheek." ;)

He's going to be a tad disappointed when he asks about his 72 virgins...

I'm not going to automatically condemn someone to hell, but I think that thought went out the window when he arrived to see his true God and his victims awaiting his presence.

Yes folks, there is absolute evil, and no a single soul is not worth more than the thousands he killed and the hundreds or more that never had a chance to see Jesus in this life. He could have ended 5,000 more lives and chances at salvation, eh? We can play what-ifs, but bin Laden never became the Apostle Paul or even Jesus (and yes I have seen the comparisons whether explicit or implicit). If he was to become the next Apostle, God would have seen that come to pass. You never see God overruled on His plans, so let's not even play that game. The cheek was turned, but I see no instructions about turning the cheek (or lives) of sons, daughters, mothers and fathers (never mind that this Sermon is always pulled 25 miles out of context and misapplied to support pacifism anyway - from being about teaching/etc to suddenly becoming law for nonChristians).

There are evil people - and there are totally lost people. God can change anyone's heart, but the instruction of the Bible is clear.

What devisive?
I know of no Americans who do not believe that vengance was served well when OBL got what was coming to him.
That includes myself, BTW.

You talk about seeing these days?
I 'see' no sympathy on your part for the nearly three thousand souls that died from OBL's September attack.

What I 'see' very clearly is your hypocritical statement in support of a dead criminal and murderer.
What I 'see' is Muslim terrorism masquerading as love and kisses.

Remove your bias and then maybe there will be a dialogue between equals.
I'm not going to hold my breath waiting, though.

I thought that the location was northern Iraq - the border with Turkey that has been subject to war for years. I used to know a Turk who fought there.

I agree with your assessment of American hypocrisy. These days our national standards do not inspire us to pride.

Osama was long dead before they claim they killed him. He died of his illness.

Whether he died of his illness or was assassinated by one of his own, or whether he was killed by seals is an academic exercise.

The problem with this event is that we simply do not know for sure. As a symbol of an unjust attack on 911 and as a participant in it (at some level) I am glad that his end has come.

But I wonder, as do many, as to his REAL involvement in 911, and I wonder if ALL of those who plotted the deaths of innocent Americans have been (or ever will) be brought to justice. Are Muslims and arabs the real enemy or are they just patsies in a greater plot against us?

I wonder.

Yeah, neither Iraq nor Turkey like the Kurdish people - we promised in the first Iraq war that we would help them and protect them from Sadam if they would rise up against him. After we invaded Baghdad we forgot all about them and Sadam's forces made them pay.

I am assuming that you are not a Christian since that attitude is not what God would be pleased with. And we all will die one day, if Jesus does not return in our lifetime. 911 was as they would say, an inside job. Even the first bombing was done by America's own government agent.

What attitude? That I am pleased a man of murder has met his end? What should I do as a 'good Christian'? Wring my hands and weep?

If, as evidence suggests, OBL continued to be an agent of the CIA before during and after 911 (as he was during the Afghan war against the Soviets), his role would be a duplicitous one both to his own people as well as to those whom he served (meaning America, meaning us).

What does the Bible say about a traitor and his untimely death?

Do you also weep for Judas?

What attitude? That I am pleased a man of murder has met his end? What should I do as a 'good Christian'? Wring my hands and weep?

Here is what God has to say.

Proverbs 24:17-18 (ESV)
[sup]17 [/sup]Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles,
[sup]18 [/sup]lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him.

Here is God's attitude about the death of the wicked

Ezekiel 18:23 (ASV)
[sup]23 [/sup]Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

It behooves those who call themselves Christians to have the same attitude that God has. God loves the wicked just as much as He loves those who obey Him.

Here is Jesus' attitude towards those who was responsible for crucifying Him

Luke 23:34 (ASV)
[sup]34 [/sup]And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots.

If we know of any enemy that we have we are to pray for them

Matthew 5:43-45 (ASV)
[sup]43 [/sup]Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy:
[sup]44 [/sup]but I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;
[sup]45 [/sup]that ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.

Since God blesses our enemy we also should have only good will towards our them........that is the Nature of God and it should be ours as well. After all, He gave us His Divine Nature when we received the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:4 (ASV)
[sup]4 [/sup]whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in that world by lust.
