The body of Eliyahu Asheri of Itamar has been discovered. The arab terrorists group that abducted Eliyahu said that it killed the 18-year-old Jewish “settler kidnapped in the West Bank”. Israeli security officials said Eliyahu Asheri’s body was found buried near Ramallah. They said he was shot in the head, apparently soon after he was abducted on Sunday. Note that the terrorists abductors were attempting to bargain for the life of Eliyahu to blackmail the IDF to halt its operations in Gaza, despite the fact that they had murdered him at gunpoint shortly after his kidnapping at a transportation post north of Jerusalem.

The sources said most of the Palestinians were moving north toward the central Gaza Strip and east toward the coast.

In an interview with Jon Snow, Zvi Ravner, denied that Israeli strikes were "collective punishment" for the kidnapping of a 19-year-old soldier. Mr Ravner said: "This is not just about the soldier, this is not collective punishment, it's the culmination of one-year long action since we have withdrawn fully from the '67 line from Gaza and since then what we have got is a day in and day out rockets being fired into Israel. "Now the Hamas government has to decide whether it is a terrorist organisation as we suspect or are they a government. If they are a government, there is a very simple and clear cut solution, let them release our soldier, let them stop the firing of rockets."Jon Snow asked if targeting civilians with "the most sophisticated bombardment ever subjected to a defenceless people" was an act of terror. Mr Ravner said: "Please pay attention to the fact there was only one Palestinian casualty, we were very accurate. "Is the Palestinian government happy about that? What would you like us to do, to send troops in and have bloodshed? We are trying our very best, we are exercising restraint."We did it to stop them smuggling out the soldier. It will restrict their possibilities of movement throughout the Gaza Strip."

Iran: IDF strikes will bring Islamic 'explosion'Associated Press, THE JERUSALEM POST Jul. 7, 2006 Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned on Friday that continued Israeli strikes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip could lead to an "explosion" in the Islamic world that would target Israel and its supporters in the West. Again, Ahmadinejad questioned Israel's right to exist. "This is a fake regime ... it won't be able to survive. I think the only way (forward) is that those who created it (the West) take it away themselves," the president told a rally in Teheran in support of Palestinians.

EU faults 'disproportionate' Israeli force in Gaza Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, whose country holds Union’s rotating presidency, says ‘EU condemns the loss of lives caused by disproportionate use of force by the Israeli Defense Forces and the humanitarian crisis it has aggravated Reuters The European Union accused Israel on Friday of a disproportionate use of force against Palestinians in Gaza and of making a humanitarian crisis there worse. It was the first time the 25-nation bloc had made such a sharp criticism of the Jewish state in the crisis triggered by the abduction of Israeli Corporal Gilad Shalit from a border post by Palestinian Islamic militants on June 25.

Reports are now coming in that these missles fired deep into Israel belong to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. These are surface to surface missles though the name escapes me right now. I'll post a link as soon as I find one.

If you all have not noticed (which I know you all have by the existance of this thread), the Middle East is becoming even more unstable with the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah within Lebanon. Could this be the beginning of the war described in Ezekiel 38? Keep your eyes open, particularly on Russia, Iran and Syria. if Iran and Syria get involved, it could bring Russia in. Terrible and exciting times for us believers in Christ! Not so exciting for non-believers. What do you all think?

I fyou believe that your faith will not be tested, what is the likleyhood of renouncing your faith when a stormtrooper aims an MP-5 in your face?Nothing can challenge ones faith more than suffering when one expected to escape all hardship.

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Israeli air strikes on Lebanon killed 61 civilians and a Hizbollah fighter on Wednesday, the deadliest toll of the eight-day-old war, as thousands of villagers fled north and more foreigners were evacuated.Hizbollah rockets killed two children in the northern Israeli city of Nazareth, medics said. More Hizbollah rockets fell on the city of Haifa and one hit an empty seafront restaurant.Israeli troops crossed the border to raid Hizbollah posts and the Israeli army said two of its soldiers were killed and nine injured in fighting with Hizbollah guerrillas. Despite international concern, there was no sign Israel or its Lebanese Shi'ite foes were ready to heed the Beirut government's pleas for an immediate halt to a war that has killed at least 297 people in Lebanon and 29 in Israel.Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said more than 500,000 people had been displaced and appealed for international help."I call on you to respond immediately and without reservation to our call for a ceasefire and to provide urgent international humanitarian aid," he said in a televised address.

This is a Jewish prophecy about Jerusalem and Iran ( ancient Persia)Av is our month of August our year 2006 is the Jewish year 5766 inlight of whats going on in israel today found it interesting. The Sefer Zerubavel says that Mashiah Ben yosef stood 40 years in yerushalayim (it's the 40th year since the Six Day War) and then, the Persian king will engage Israel and it will be great trouble for Israel...The signs will come in the 6th year, in the 5th month - the month of Av - in the 6th of the month - and then, there will be a great trouble for Israel which had never existed before, and people will flee.

August 3, 2006Thousands of Jews gathered at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to pray for the Jewish Temple to be rebuilt Because of intelligence reports of possible violence, Jerusalem police have closed the Temple Mount to all non-Muslim visitors as the nation of Israel marks the day Tish B'Av and the destruction of the two previous biblical Jewish Temples.Intelligence reports had indicated that thousands of Muslims were planning to flock to the site to protect it from Jews who were planning to visit on Tish B'Av and possibly move to start reconstruction of the next Jewish Temple. Thousands of Jewish worshippers did gather at the seven gates leading up onto the Temple Mount to read the biblical book of Lamentations as they mourned the destruction of the previous two Jewish Temples and to pray for a rebuilt Temple to be on the Temple Mount next year on Tish B'Av.

'Israel must end Hizbullah re-armament itself'--------------------------------------------------------------------------------JPost.com Staff, THE JERUSALEM POST Aug. 19, 2006 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Government sources said on Saturday that Israel had no choice but to act itself to stop the flow of weapons and missiles to the Hizbullah. A senior Israeli source said that UNIFIL and the Lebanese army were not showing any intention to end the re-armament of Hizbullah, since the former were unwilling to confront the terrorist organization, Israel Radio reported
