I can't tell you how much dealing with a Chromium deficiency has changed my life! (addicted to sugar?)

Hi there,

So I have been taking a Chromium supplement for a couple of years now and my internal integrity is just so much better! It started when I found out that an addiction to sugar, is sometimes caused by a Chromium deficiency. There is some process in the body that responds to a sugar high with a releasing of Chromium, which - when you keep doing it - makes you crave sugar more and release more Chromium (from memory - you may have to look that up). The point is you think its you that wants that much sugar, when in fact you are just compensating (for Chromium deficiency).

Ok well, what is really fascinating, is that if you have always had some sort of sugar craving from a young age, you have started to grow up as if sugar cravings are normal! This warps your thinking and puts you in danger of developing diabetes. It may even get to the point that you have to hand your sugar addiction over to God, to get you out of your old ways of thinking. Remember what Jesus said about the spirit that goes and gets seven more spirits - if you are not changing your mindset and strengthening what you are able to, you may never be able to avoid diabetes.

It's really simple: just take a little supplement of Chromium each day (it is slow to absorb) and do it for as long as it takes. The sugar cravings will go and you will begin to think normally about appetite. I can't give you better advice than this! I'm praying you understand that you don't have to put up with sugar cravings!

God bless.

It's got to the point, where my appetite for carbohydrates (essentially sugars), has diminished a little too.

My mindset is getting so healthy!

Life changes when we adapt a better way of thinking and avoid certain habits.

I think it's important to mention here that while processed bleached white sugar is bad for the body that the body needs sugar to survive.

Source: Sugar and the Brain

Glucose, a form of sugar, is the primary source of energy for every cell in the body. Because the brain is so rich in nerve cells, or neurons, it is the most energy-demanding organ, using one-half of all the sugar energy in the body.

Now that I have been taking Chromium for some time, I don't even really get a thrill from sugar at all.

I feel so bad when I see someone on TV with diabetes, when if they didn't have an addiction to sugar, because of lack of Chromium, they might not have diabetes (I need to pray for them and those with them!)

It has got to the point, that I have lost my taste for fatty foods - I suppose fatty foods, were helping sustain my sugar highs, but then I boosted my Chromium high enough to make fatty foods less of an issue.

I think the nervous system as a whole, is geared towards leaving sugary appetite behind - a Chromium supplement doesn't guarantee you will leave sugar behind, but it may be a significant contributing factor as you age.

Now craving a variety of foods, has started to fade.

There is a healthy and an unhealthy attraction to sweetness!

Now I am at the point, that I am "angry" at the idea of 'sugar' for the sake of sugar! I mean I really don't want it!

All from supplementing my Chromium - who would have thought?

It's got to the point, where I can look at chocolate at the checkout in a supermarket and it doesn't bother me.

How good is God (when you take care of what He's given you, the way you are supposed to!)

After many months, my appetite for Chromium has gone back to what it should be. I no longer desire the supplement, but my taste for sugar has also remained constantly low.

I still have a little more taste for artificial sugar than natural sugar, but I think with patience I will overcome this too.

Look, I’m glad you found a "magic pill" that works for you, but claiming sugar addiction is just a chromium deficiency is a massive oversimplification. Most people crave sugar because their diet is trash and their insulin is a roller coaster, not because they’re missing a trace mineral. Take your supplement, sure, but don't forget that actual discipline and a balanced plate do 99% of the heavy lifting.
