Prayers for my son JOhn

I am pleading for prayers for my 41 year old son John. He has been admitted into the Er and I assume the ICU. He has been running a 102 temp, has been very disoriented and sick. They did an MRI and found lesions on his brain and liver. they are doing a biopsy on both to see of they are cancerous or not.

he is married with three children and very active in his church. Please pray the tumors are benign and that they can find a way to remove them without doing harm to his brain.

Also for me. I had a heart valve replaced in 2021 and as a result of having sepsis , heart failure and double pneumonia 3 times this year, that valve is not working well. They are scgheduling tests to see if the valve is failing on its own (open heart surgery) failing because of the strain of the diseases (TAVR procedure) or strained and can return to normal. Have three tests scheduled soon to see what is what

Thjey are preparing my son for a very tricky brain surgery. they have now discovered it is not a lesion, but a mass and it is in a very bad place.

As for me?

I am preparing for three heart tests (angiogram, stress test and a TEE) to determine if my failing valve will heal on its own, or if I will have to have a new biolgical valve placed (TAVR procedure) or a mechanical valve which would require open heart surgery.

I am in discomfort, and extrememly exhausted and weak.

John is doing much better but not out of teh woods.

I have three heart tests coming up to determine how bad my heart is damaged from having sepsis and heart failure three times this year.

Ronald, I am so sorry you and your family are walking through this with John. Waiting on test results for a son you love, while he is a husband and a father of three, is a heavy thing to carry. I am joining you in asking the Lord that the lesions would be benign, that the doctors would have wisdom and skill, and that John would be protected from any harm.

I am praying for his wife and children too, that they would feel held and not alone, and for you as you deal with your own health at the same time.

Isaiah 41:10 says, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

I have a new update!

I am still waiting for 2 more cardiac tests to determine what kind of damage is done to my heart besides a bad valve.

As for my son John?

He went home with a PICC line to be infused 2X daily with antibiotics. However on the thrid day he started lsoing coordination on his left side and was slurring his speech. He was rushed back to his local hospital and it was discoverd the lesion in his brain had grown 7/10s of a centimeter in a day.

They are rushing him back Charleston to MUSC for brain surgery. The lesion is in a bad place, near his cerebral cortex. If removing it they nick the cortex, Jhn could be paralyzed from the waist down.

I ask for prayers for a miracle either directly or through God guiding the surgeons hands.

He has a wife and three younger children. I am 72. If God must take someone home, I have asked he take me instead. I have lived my life and am in frail health. He has so much of his life ahead of him. I know our god is in control, but as a dad, I am heartbroken for my son and his family. May god use it for his glory and John and his families good.
