Even Paul told of how his daily living amounted to "feast or famine" (Philippians 4:12-13).

Nevertheless, in my own life, I have made Proverbs 30:7-9 my prayer in contrast to what Paul wrote there; because I came across it before I saw what was written there.

Also, was it wrong for Mary of Bethany to worship Jesus extravagantly by rendering her wealth to Him in pouring the oil/perfume on his head and/or feet?

Was Jesus wrong to have his daily needs met by certain women who followed Him?

Is it necessarily a sin for a minister to not live in abject poverty; as some people think it should always be?

No, he did not con them to share with him.

We should operate out faith in Christ will meet her needs. We should make honest effort and work to care for ourselves.

Psalms 118:25 specifically uses the word "prosperity".

I was talking about word of faith, health and wealth similar ministers.

Those who were obviously in it for the money.
I think that they have gotten a bad rap to a certain degree; and that not everything that is identified as "word of faith docrtrine" is necessarily false doctrine.

For example, we as believers are able to lay a hold of promises in God's word so that we can be certain of an affirmative answer to our prayers if they be in alignment with God's word.

2 Peter 1:3-4, Hebrews 11:33, 2 Corinthians 1:20, and Romans 4:20-22 all testify to this.

Also, Mark 11:22-24 (with John 14:13-14, John 15:7-8, and 1 John 5:14-15) testifies to this.

It is a shame that this doctrine of how to have your prayers answered is slandered as false doctrine by some.

Some of those who even slander this as "prosperity doctrine/health and wealth gospel" have large homes themselves and are enjoying great wealth and prosperity; and yet they condemn some of these "faith teachers" for the same.

This has given "faith" a bad name, impaho;

not to mention it is not necessarily a sin to have prosperity in one's life: Paul knew how to abound and he knew how to suffer need; and was instructed both to be full and to be hungry: in his life his income as a true minister meant feast or famine.

I would mention also that the righteousness of faith speaketh on this wise: that the word is nigh thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith which we preach...Romans 10:8.
.

.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Psalms 66:18.

This would mean that simply praying the sinner's prayer (if you do not lay hold of promises in the Lord's word that speak of how it is His will to answer your prayer of salvation) might not avail for anything.

If someone prays the sinner's prayer but does not repent (i.e. desires to continue on in their sins); then the Lord will not even hear such a prayer as that; for they are regarding iniquity in their heart.

This is why it is important that you know what the promises are that tell you how to obtain the answers to your prayers; because if you didn't lay hold of them when you prayed the sinner's prayer, you might not even be saved.

Name and claim it does not exist in the Bible. Neither does hundred fold return on giving, of course meaning to their ministry.

Especially the ones that push you can become a God.

There really is no defending word of faith.

They twist the Bible into a prosperity gospel, chiefly for themselves.

A nation living in prosperity will have within it individuals who are living in prosperity.
God blessed Israel in Israel, and their vanity, look to themselves instead of God.

The Bible says it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to reach heaven.

You said that after I referenced about eight scriptures that show that "name it and claim it" is a realty in the Bible!

So, don't look them up. That is your prerogative, not to have your prayers answered.

Most assuredly, I am exalted if I am poor, and am abased if I am wealthy (James 1:9-10).

However, I would point out that the wealthy are not excluded from the kingdom over their prosperity (1 Timothy 6:17-19).
