You've sidestepped my words and questions again. As you grow toward God there is more available to and for you and each one of us. Repentance is a good and necessary thing, but once you have moved past that initial repentance additional repentance is possible for additional growth only as the Holy Spirit guides you in your understanding. When you presume your understanding on anything is complete, you quench the Holy Spirit, blocking further progress toward God. The Book, the Bible certainly contains more for us, but you may only access more by admitting your present lack of understanding and your inability to move forward alone.
But knowledge is only in God's written word. Beyond that you are in the devil's domain.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16–17) (KJV 1900)

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” (Ephesians 6:17) (KJV 1900)

I have received extensive knowledge on the subject; just not from the same sources that you have studied. i.e. I have gotten all of my understanding from reading God's word. And that irks you, doesn't it?
You have not weighed all the scriptures before drawing your conclusions.

Now you are contradicting yourself. For you have said before that the writings of man concerning the Trinity are next to inspired.

His word is Scripture alone from whence faith cometh.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus is His word, His words are spirit and they have life, you have no life because it it teh letter.

2Co 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

and you are saying you have no faith in God.

All of Christ's pertinent words are committed to scripture.

And the righteousness of faith speaketh on this wise, The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart.

Romans 10:6, Romans 10:8.

There is only one begotten Son of God (John 3:16 (kjv)). We are sons of God (1 John 3:1-2) and are begotten as such (1 Peter 1:3).

We are the body of Christ; and thus we are sharers in His immortality.

It does not behoove you to believe otherwise; because that would mean that you yourself cannot live for ever.

It raises questions about your faith. Is the Father YAHWEH? There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:6, 1 Corinthians 8:6).

I would say that while your interpretation may not be invalid, that the primary interpretation of what "tongues" is, is that it is the spiritual gift give to the early church on the day of Pentecost, derived from the power of the Holy Ghost.

I can buy into your comment back to me JBF. Scripture is scant on this subject. I am still vexed and not settled myself on whether we eventually share Jesus' immortality or we have our own. I tend to side with your approach. Yes we are in the 'body' of Christ.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Bless you,

You added the word, "only" to your first sentence as if God had so limited Himself in the spread of His knowledge. He did not so limit Himself. The only limit God put on Himself was by allowing you and me to choose to travel our own way instead of His Way. This is what men call free will. It allows ultimately only two choices that matter: God's Way or Not.

Your cited verses could support your own version of living for God, but they may also be used to support other versions. They may be and often are used to support many other versions held by many of the Christian groups in existence. The discernment and/or understanding of the differences between them comes from outside the Book via the Holy Spirit.

We can choose God's Way which requires us to lean or Him and hear what He saying. The Holy Spirit is provide Life to what we have consumed [read in or heard from the Book. There is potential in the Book because it was written under inspiration. The potential only comes to Life in people who allow themselves to be led. This leading occurs as a result of the same inspiration in you or me from the same source [God].The source is not in the Book. The source is God.

People have wrong messages or mixed messages because they quench the Holy Spirit in them and follow themselves or other men.

Why did the Apostles baptize in the name of Jesus Christ after Jesus told them to baptize in the name (singular) of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?
first thanks for the reply,
second, Because it's only "ONE" person who hold all two titles. Father and Son are title of the ONLY TRUE God JESUS who is the Holy Ghost.

that's where you fail at dave. the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit is JESUS who is the Father, and the Son in flesh.

as usual you advoid answering any question, because you know that you're in error. oh well.

since we have taken away your three person at the Lord Jesus baptism, you have nothing left.

well at least one thing you finally admitted that Jesus is the God of the OT.

now that your baptism of three is only two, what you got next?.
