Basically, it is those preachers who never get spoken evil of that are generally the false teachers.

But sometimes even false teachers are called out on for being false.

Paul called out Hymenaeus and Alexander and a few others for their shenanigans, by name.

How dare you threaten God's People with doing what God would have them to do, which is to test everything to see whether it's from God or not! Just because a minister wears a minister's suit, and speaks with a Southern accent and emphasizes his words does not mean he is speaking the whole truth. (I speak of American Evangelical ministers.)

There are always errors in every one of us, including in ministers, that need to be regularly dealt with and treated. Anybody who doesn't know this is too immature to minister well. We all have pride, but God help us to find ministers with humility who go to the cross every day and pray, "Thy will be done."

I've mentioned before that Jesus wants us to watch, so as not to be deceived. He wants us to govern all things by the authority of His word. To judge a man of God as evil is not good, as you say. But to judge him as mistaken is a good thing, when he is found to not be ministering in accord with God's word. Hopefully we will all keep growing, and will never grow weary in well doing.

Some ministers are even worthy of ridicule, if they are really going over the top, doubling down, and refusing to recognize the abuses their heaping upon people. If, for example, Jesse and others are boasting in their jet planes, and in the luxury God is giving them, I think they deserve the insults they receive. It will make them pay attention to how bad their witness is in this world of greed.

Yes, when you point the finger at others as being worthy of judgment, you will have 3 fingers pointing back at yourself. So don't judge those who are just trying to discern the errors in these ministers, who add to the word of God their own Faith Teaching! And if you were diligent enough to judge these things for yourself, you might either defend or reject them. But you don't. You're just a follower.

This goes quite a ways back for me. As I said, I was big on Faith Teaching, and held to it, supported it, and spoke it. However, a crisis came into my life, and I had to admit, it doesn't work. Faith works, but it was being misrepresented by those in the Faith Teaching business.

I was down in S. CA when Walter Martin began to question this teaching. He was an expert on the American cults, and began to see problems in Faith Teaching, in comparison to Bible Teaching. When he was ultimately invited onto TBN, he was apparently disinvited for speaking his mind.

We never saw him there again that I know of. And Paul Crouch began to use the words "heresy hunters" for those who questioned his Faith Teaching, as I saw it. I never thought good Christians should resolve differences by name calling and by avoiding biblical scrutiny.

And that is the problem, brother. I bring up legitimate questions of a biblical nature. And you are doing the same thing as Paul Crouch, name calling and avoiding scrutiny, just doubling down. Bad idea!
