Perhaps you are a Sincere, but “Poor Student” Of The Word, not able to “ Rightly Divide “ God’s Word and therefore will have to “ stand ashamed” as those better taught have to constantly try to educate you ....
Try this one on for size, Lippy..... James said “ We ALL STUMBLE” ......James said that under the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit that “teaches you personally”——How did you miss “ this” one, Mr Holy Spirit ,Jr. ?
“ALL” means ALL and that mean that YOU and the Holier than Thou, Ms C L.......have stumbled. Just like Me.Just like EVERY man and Woman who does Battle with the World, the Flesh and the Devil.....The biggest Sin In God's Universe is thinking that you “ have no Sin” ....it’s called Spiritual Pride. That was Satan’s big Issue. Pride. You are in my prayers ......
Lippy?

I have already addressed James 3:2.

Jas 3:2, For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

It is answered by Philippians 1:10...

Phl 1:10, That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

It is obviously the prayer of Paul that the Philippians might be without offence till the day of Christ...

Now the only way they are not going to be without offence till the day of Christ is if God doesn't answer prayer.

And perhaps James wasn't privy to being a recipient of this prayer of Paul since there was a sense in which he acted as Paul's enemy...just as you, @Blood Bought 1953, are behaving towards me right now.

Is it possible to offend not in word? You bet it is...

Jas 1:26, If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

We are to ask the Lord to make the Holy Spirit to be a bridle over our tongues...thus we will not offend in word; and will be able to bridle the whole body as well.

Or, perhaps, that is you...

@Blood Bought 1953,

It is my daily prayer that every word that comes off of my keyboard may be anointed by the Holy Ghost and be from the Holy Ghost...that He would give me the words to say and that every word would be from Him.

I also have studied the word of the Lord for the last 30 or more years...and while that may not be as long as you...my prayer is a factor as concerning what I am going to say on these boards.

You have yet to apologize for calling me a false teacher...I am ready to forgive you when you do.

Love in Christ,

@justbyfaith.
This is a lot of the problem forgiveness for Christ isn’t conditional, but for you,,,,,

Who doesn't possess faith?

I will answer for you...

the unbeliever.

So yes, the unbeliever does not have forgiveness.
This is why I feel sorry for you, you believe that faith and belief is something that originated with you. Couldn’t be further from the truth.

Of course it couldn't be further from the truth. And I don't believe that faith originated from me.

Where does faith come from?

Rom 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Of course, my response in hearing is something that has to do with who I am as a person...everything that led up to my hearing God's word, all of my life experiences...time and chance happen to everything...Ecclesiastes 9:11....these things have everything to do with what kind of soil my heart will be when the seed (the word of God) is planted.

John 3:21 KJV
[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
If there are any Godly works they are wrought in God,

I believe what’s most unsettling is we have several idiots on here trying to take credit, even though God says no flesh will glory in His presence. The only thing I have left to consider is He isn’t present.

Galatians 3:3 KJV
[3] Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
So you tell me how CL can be so foolish as to say upon receiving the Holy Ghost her flesh was perfected. That in my opinion flys in the face of Gods Grace.

I'm not certain that that is true...and I'm also uncertain as to what your point is.
One example would be Thomas who wouldn't believe in Jesus Resurrection until he saw and touched Jesus and Jesus response was the following:

John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

So in that sense those of us now who believe in His bodily Resurrection are blessed because by faith we believe. Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

There are other examples as well.

hope this helps !!!

Hi @charity,

Gentiles are also under the law in that they will be judged by it and found guilty before God because of it.
Hello @justbyfaith,

Would you please equip me with the scriptural ground you have for this thinking so that I can respond appropriately.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus

It is only those who believe the twisted doctrines of defeatism from the Reformation such as "we will always sin," "if we say we don't sin we are a liar," "we must constantly ask forgiveness for our sins," that makes the actual word of God seem unorthodox. It comes from taking scriptures out of context, like 1 John 1:8 that is about someone who is not a Christian saying they don't sin, when the context is the very next verse that then cleanses us from all sin, making us sinless, and no longer a sinner, but a child of God. You can't be both.
one thing about it your not a true charismatic.. your out in left field singing put me in coach but cant find home plate . its called humbling our selves to God

It leaves us with the fact that you are subject to human error in that you identified me as a false teacher when in fact that is not what I am.

You acted according to an opinion that you had and did not consult the Holy Spirit first.

Do you ask the Holy Spirit with every post to give you the words to say? or do you sometimes slip up?

I will give you $ 1,000 if you can tell me (honestly) that in the post where you offended me (post #807 (The False Doctrine with key word "COVER")), you asked the Holy Spirit to give you the words immediately before. Of course, you already owe me $1,000 so that would only make us even.

Oh that's right...you just admitted to all of us that you're a fibber; and therefore you cannot be trusted to tell me honestly about that.

What's to prevent you from fibbing in the middle of the teaching that you give to us all?

Who is the false teacher now?

Yes; I am still hurt by the fact that you did what you did and still have not apologized.

I feel like you have stabbed me in the back.

If you are hurt, then that is when you need to forgive before you continue any further. Brush the dust off your feet and move on. You are not going to get a true apology, because it is not in his nature.
