A question for my fellow universalists

Help me to understand. How are there still people outside the city at the very end of the Bible? Revelation 22:14-15 YLT 14 `Happy are those doing His commands that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of the life, and by the gates they may enter into the city; 15 and without [are] the...

I'm trying to better understand the Biblical definition of "torment" and found something

What do you think of this definition? https://www.mishkandaviyd.com/bible-studies-2/parables/rich-man-and-lazarus/rich-mans-torment-touchstone/ Luke 16:23 23And in hell (hades) he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. The Rich Man dies...

    Preachers & Politics

I think it's a big mistake. Christian church LEADERS that want to share Jesus's word should stick to sharing Jesus's word rather than their own. What is your view of it?

Why did Jill Biden permit Joe to take showers with their daughter?

Joe and Jill are some seriously depraved and evil human beings.

A rather rhetorical question for the "Hell is FOREVER" crowd

Many of you believe that our loving creator sends much of his creation to suffer horribly in Hell FOREVER. Here is my question. How many different forms of torture do you believe our loving creator uses to torture his creation?

How does one be a "good" Christian?

Love God. Obey God. Love one another. That's it. One doesn't need to attend church. One doesn't have to know the Bible. John 6:29 esv Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

An example of how NOT to post. :)

Please read this article and tell me if you agree. November 5, 2022 The Longest Article Ever Written Share Tweet Pin Mail SMS The topic, of course, is the longest article ever written. It’s a big topic and one that I’m excited to dive into. In order to do that, though, we’re going to need a...

A friendly recommendation for an opening post of a thread (please read)

Make your point quick and keep it succinct. Some post a veritable dissertation in their OP and expect people to read it and then wonder why they receive little to no response. Make your point, provide brief support, and then take it from there. KISS (Keep it simple stupid). :)

    Are there any Catholics here?

I don't know of any here and that's why I ask. BTW, I am a former Catholic.

A request in service to God

I don't know if you have a list of everyone that has been banned from this community over the years. My guess is that you have banned a LOT of spammers and perhaps don't differentiate between them and poorly-behaving Christians. I would like to encourage you, if possible, to reach out to...

Catholics say it's ok to call a priest "father" because Paul told his followers that he became their father (FALSE).

1 Corinthians 4:15 esv For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I've said this before and many don't believe me but most Bible translations (yes, the KJV too!) have ERRONEOUS translations of...

I believe that gay people have as much of a "choice" to be gay as you do to not sin

And the fact is that we are ALL slaves to sin. John 8: 34-36 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slaveb to sin. 35The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed". The...

If you've ever tried to share the word with militant atheists, try and remember Matthew 7:6 (don't cast your pearls to pigs)

It is a fruitless endeavor. Shared the word and then leave and then say a prayer. That's all you can do for them. 99.99% of the time they will not only reject his word but they will attack you as well. Asking them to see the truth and wisdom of God's word is like asking a blind person to...

Differentiating between Heaven & the new Earth

Is it important to distinguish between Heaven and the new Earth and, if so, why please? I believe it's important for our understanding because I understand them to be two different places and while everyone who ever existed will be in the new Earth, I believe it's POSSIBLE that not everyone...

The very LAST words in the Bible are VERY telling!

Revelation 22:21 esv 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with ALL. Amen. What does that mean? Does "all" mean "some"?

Sharing God's words with fellow Christians is pointless

I engage Christians on numerous platforms and share scriptures with them regarding various topics and EVERY time they REJECT God's words in favor of their own personal opinion. It's pointless.

Do you show your brothers and sisters love and kindness as commanded, even when they're wrong?

As for me, not always, but I'm working on it! My brothers and sisters, as long as we believe in and FOLLOW the "Great Commandment", I think it won't make any difference to God if one's understanding of various doctrines is mistaken. God isn't going to ridicule their misunderstanding but he...

Do "good", non-Christians, go to Heaven to be with God when they die or do they remain in the grave awaiting the resurrection?
