Why does God hate Haitians? A thread for Plavious.

Those who are innocent of scamming Christians and whose conscience is clear are blessed, but those who are guilty can be certain they will reap what they sow.

Scammers love to part Christians from their money.

Prayer For The Return of a Steering Paddle

Is the paddle-keeping friend a "he" or a "she"? It's not clear. Either way I pray for the paddle to be returned to the steerer.

Is "The Beast" another name for Satan's corrupt, worldly, system?

Yes, obviously, Not important, just fun.

Fun with numbers: 37 is common to each set.

    Moving on from Christs principles?

Hi MatthewG. Here's my contribution for your consideration: There was an attachment to the Law of Moses among the Hebrews which made it difficult for them to "go on to perfection". Heb 5:11-14 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing you are dull of hearing. (12)...

    The Golden Calf

Catchy song. I enjoyed it. Made me think of the popular anthem "Jerusalem". Quotes from Wkpd: "And Did Those Feet" It is often assumed that the poem was inspired by the apocryphal story that a young Jesus, accompanied by Joseph of Arimathea, a tin merchant, travelled to what is now England and...

Is "The Beast" another name for Satan's corrupt, worldly, system?

Yes. The Beast and the false prophet are cast into the Lake of Fire whilst Satan the Dragon is bound and cast into the Abyss for 1000 years before losing in battle against the Lord and being cast into the Lake of Fire where the Beast and false prophet are. Three separate but complicit entities.

Meanwhile, some points about the beast from the sea of sinful humanity to ponder:

Do you guys think that Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) is mostly positive or negative for humankind?

The Bing Chatbot is actually very good with all things Christian and Biblical. It collects as many sources as it deems necessary to give its impartial summary of the collective ideologies online. It is not at all biased, even referring to "our Lord".

Thank God For The Apostles And Their Epistles

It is possible that modern New Testament scholars are right about the apostle Paul having written 1 Thessalonians between 49 and 51 AD during his 18-month stay in Corinth whilst on his second missionary journey. I have not so fond memories of Sunday School lessons that focused on the journeys...

    The Golden Calf

Funny munny. Quotes from: Wkpd: Baal Baal was a title and honorific meaning 'owner' or 'lord' in the Northwest Semitic languages spoken in the Levant during antiquity. From its use among people, it came to be applied to gods. Scholars previously associated the theonym with solar cults and...

    The Golden Calf

Look further back to Egypt. Hathor (Ancient Egyptian: ḥwt-ḥr, lit. 'House of Horus', Ancient Greek: Ἁθώρ Hathōr, Coptic: ϩⲁⲑⲱⲣ, Meroitic: ‎ Atri/Atari) was a major goddess in ancient Egyptian religion who played a wide variety of roles. Hathor was often depicted as a cow, symbolizing her...

How Did Christ Preach to the Dead if the Dead Have no Knowledge?

From My Notes: Against Christ Preaching To The Dead The reference to Jesus preaching is not to be construed as taking place after His death, but rather the "quickening" of His Spirit in Noah so as to preach through him to those who because of their unbelief are now in Hades, that is "prison"...

Wouldn't it just be easier if we were all let out and then asked what we wanted to do

Sheep are not totally stupid, but they are pretty helpless which is why they need a shepherd. See Psalm 23. Green pastures and still waters . . . LOVIN' IT!

The " FLIP" side of "Does God care"

Lovingly Trained By Tough Love Heb 12:4-11 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. (5) And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when...

    You know who I can't stand?? --->Wynona

My approach is to work with the medium we have here rather than against it. Some use social media to dominate, intimidate, manipulate, or seduce, so for them it's about controlling the narrative rather than contributing to it. Be blessed.

How can any of you stand it

Good post @CadyandZoe Various forms of that analogy have been around for a long time, and one has stayed with me since the first time I heard a preacher use it as an illustration of missing the move of God. 1Co 1:27-31 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the...
