the beast with seven heads and ten horns - the Roman Empire

I don't have time to read all the responses to see if anyone has brought this up but the beast w/ seven heads and ten horns has nothing to do w/ the Roman empire or the papacy. They are nations who had at one point in time throughout negatively impacted Israel. The 8 kings of Rev. 17 aren't...

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Why do you think they have anything to do w/ a latter day marriage. The Jews of the church age, the rapture/resurrection to sometime in the 70th week will all be the groom. The 144,000 is symbolic of the whole born again of Israel. It is they who are awaiting Christ's arrival in Rev. 19.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Yes, as we've been talking about, Christ and those that arose w/ him were the only spring harvest their will be. Both the rapture/resurrection of the church and the earthly gathering of Israel, post Armageddon will be fall harvests.

There is no other "spring" harvest coming. Not every harvest is huge.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

The trinity is all about complete and total unity as "one". Two wives would be contrary to perfect unity thus cannot be.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Those that were resurrected w/ Christ, were resurrected in the spring, thus firstfruits spring harvest was fulfilled.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Noah wasn't in the clouds that's stretching things a whole lot. First fruits = spring harvest.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

The key word here is joined. Since we are speaking about a spiritual union, the act of sex isn't a consideration. The "one flesh" is equivalent to the "one new man" of Eph. 2:11-18.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Yes, destruction came, but Noah and Lot didn't leave the earth. Look at the firstfruits in the context of the parable about the workers, Matt. 20:1-16. We are told many came out of their graves at Christ's resurrection.

I rely on what the words actually mean and how they align w/ the rest of scripture not what someone thought they should have meant centuries ago that isn't backed up by the rest of His word.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Again, metaphors, unless you think they're walking around glued to each other like conjoined twins! It's their unity in thought, mind and deed that makes them "one flesh". A metaphor is: a figure of speech in which a word or phrase literally denoting one kind of object or idea is used in place...

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Now you're getting closer, God has and will only ever have one wife and as Christ and God are "one", so is their wife, they will never have "two" wives. Israel is the bride/wife. No divorce was ever ratified, so it was threatened but never happened. The church united w/ Christ as one, head and...

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

This took a little work to tackle. The whole gist of Eph. 5 is summed up in vs. 30 where the "one flesh" isn't stressing marriage, it's a metaphor using the relationship between the man and the wife to explain the unity we already have with Christ and should have with each other and it is more...

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

If one is taking the feasts of the Lord into consideration Yes, two harvests. The first one was Christ, the firstfruits of the resurrection, so that's already been fullfilled. If one considers a typical harvest, for the season there is "one" harvest but in three timings a first harvest, middle...

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

The great multitude is the raptured/resurrected church and there is no wedding supper in heaven prophesied, nor is the church ever called the bride of Christ in the bible.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

That must be your understanding IF pretrib was correct. Now how would you understand it if there wasn't a pretrib rapture and the church was still here?
  17. Trekson

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

It is still referring to the church, but it is a choir of angels that are singing about the "church" and NOT about "themselves". That's the difference it makes.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

There is a term called textual variance. The majority of the ancient texts lends itself to the fact that word "us" was changed from "them". If you look at the facts surrounding the verse. Who is singing? the four beasts and 24 elders. We know the four beasts are celestial beings w/no need of...

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

The 24 elders are most likely a hierarchy of angels. There is nothing that suggests the 144,000 are raptured. It doesn't imply the 144,000 sing the song of Moses. That would be the 5th seal martyrs according to the description given in Rev. 15.

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

    I didn't deny that, I just didn't stop there!
