Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Most of that is supposition about what folks "think" it is saying. It doesn't mean they are correct.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

Check out bible gateway or some place similar where one can read a verse in 'all" translations and see how the majority of them was corrected it.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

I believe Matt. 24:29-31 is speaking of the rapture and is the same harvest you deduce in Rev. 6 of which actually occurs in Rev. 7:9-14 speaking of those from Rev. 6:11 and it is the rapture/resurrection of the church. The events of Rev. 7 are still those of the 6th seal. No, I meant Matt. 24...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

I agree he's not referencing the millennium w/ that statement.

Rapture Thoughts of Some Early Church Leaders

It could be either heaven or hell because wherever Christ goes, they follow, but there is no harvest mentioned related to the 6th seal, nor the 5th if that's what you meant. The 5th seal martyrs are part of the still here church that died because of the GT upon the church that Christ spoke about...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

Imo, when God breathed into man He was giving him both air and a spirit, as God is a spirit and we are in His image. Our soul is who we are, how we are and will be known. Our spirit is what is eternal and I believe Paul when he said, "to be absent from the body is to be present w/ the Lord"...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

Everything should be treated as literal, unless there is a logical reason not to. Just like the phrase, "God owns the cattle on a thousand hills" is a true literal statement and only an idiot would think "AHA, but he doesn't own more than that!"

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

I just see it as a human like form except He doesn't run on blood. Just look at stuff the way it's written and stop trying to spiritualize stuff that was never intended to be understood in that manner. We know he has hands and fingers, we know he can sit on a throne. You are making things way...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

They were made in the image of God. They weren't informed about the possibility of death until they were told not to eat of the tree w/ the understanding that once they did they would 'begin" to die. How can you see it any other way?

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

You're making up something the bible doesn't say. They were told to multiply well 'before" the fall.

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

In the garden of Eden, yes I do believe all the animals were eternal. And yes Adam and Eve were eternal until the fall. I just have more faith in God than those who believe the crown of God's creation could only last a couple of weeks w/o failing. I believe the time before the fall was waaayyyy...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

Jesus was the "firstfruits" of the first resurrection. Those in 20:5 are the "latter" fruits of the first resurrection. No, I've never connected Rev. 20:6 to the rapture. Basically, I believe almost every verse in the NT that speaks of His return is speaking of the rapture. The exception is Rev...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

You are wrong in two counts. #4 I'm not positive about hell being eternal, the second death of Rev. 20:14 could mean cessation of existence at any level, and #5 I do "not" believe the rapture will be secret or invisible and I believe in it because the bible teaches it as I'm sure you've been...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

Using the word "metaphor" didn't set right w/ me so I did a little research and concluded that the phrase from 2 Peter 3:8 "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day," isn't a metaphor, it's a simile...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

Is 2 Peter a metaphor? Sure, but the 6 times that a thousand years are mentioned in Rev. 20:2-7 are not. Metaphors aren't generally mentioned multiple times in the same context of scripture. How often would Christ have to say it before you will believe Him? 3 more times? 10 more times? Jesus is...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

It is both. The millennial era won't be that much different than now in regards to dwelling. Yes, God resides within us but we also go to church to have fellowship w/ others of like mind. When He dwells among man, He will be physically living on earth. There will still be meeting places. Just...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

The rapture/resurrection is for the church, the 2nd coming is for Israel!

    My personal eclectic view

In Dan. 11:21-45 show me where it changes. I just disagree, what you want to claim as AE, is instead the future a/c although there could be some resemblance between the two. The only prince of the covenant spoken of is the one in Dan. 9:27, who is the a/c, there are not two. In the linear...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

How can it be false, if it's what the bible mainly teaches. I'll make it easy for you, about the "only" passage about Christ's 2nd coming is Rev. 19, everything else is the rapture.

This is the context of how Dan. 9:24-27 should be considered!

The second half of verse 24 is also for Israel to fulfill. Christ laid the foundation for Israel to accomplish them. To see how, re-read the OP. The last three will be post Armageddon which is also the time that Matt. 23:39 will be fulfilled.
