    Grace vs Legalism

He teaches that "the works of the flesh" aren't sins. I believe that, he also teaches that a man can lose faith in Jesus, and/or stop living and walking holy, and will still be saved.

Mans natural condition - dead in sin

It remains that our access to grace comes by faith (Romans 5:2). So then, grace does not come before faith; but faith comes before grace.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

If you do not trust in Jesus to get you into heaven, you will not make it into heaven. Trust = faith. So, if the faith isn't there, salvation is also not there. Of course it is the object of your faith that saves you. But without faith in that object, you do not have access to the salvation...

Mans natural condition - dead in sin

I suppose that that is something for you to figure out.

    Grace vs Legalism

Then my faith would no longer be in Christ and what He did for me. Do you believe that such a person will still go to heaven? Let me ask you this...if someone doesn't believe in Jesus and what He did for them now, will they go to heaven if they died tonight?

    Grace vs Legalism

Right...justified by faith and born of God are two different things. He "justifieth the ungodly" (Romans 4:5). However, those who are born of God are not ungodly (1 John 3:9). I would identify being born of God as a second benefit (2 Corinthians 1:15, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).

    Grace vs Legalism

I actually do not have any sin consciousness. But the fact that I am not conscious of sin does not mean that I have no sin dwelling within me. I take the word of the Lord at face value that if I were to say that I had no sin, the sin of self-deception would be right there in me. I think...

Mans natural condition - dead in sin

Nevertheless, in Romans 5:2, we have the concept that we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand. So, it is evident that faith comes as a prerequisite for and as a catalyst for my receiving grace.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

Realizing what He has saved me from produces within me great gratitude; which might be less great if what He had saved me from were a less horrible fate.

    Grace vs Legalism

The false teachers actually teach that grace is a license for immorality...that grace means you can do whatever you want...even if what you want is to do the ungodly thing. While the true grace of God is found in 1 Peter 5:10-12 (kjv). It means that after you have suffered a while, the Lord...

    Grace vs Legalism

Not born again, and then lost...but that we can have faith, and thus be saved temporarily, and then be lost, if we fall away.

    Grace vs Legalism

In Romans 7:18 Paul declares that he is his flesh...For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing... See 2 Timothy 3:16. Even the Old Testament is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. What if, in becoming a...

    Grace vs Legalism

I find that my understanding of 1 John 1:8 does not bring conflict of understanding with other passages.

Maybe you could reiterate your question. To @marks.

    Kenosis heresy

I suppose that it is possible that the risen Lord Jesus, living in a glorified body, knows all things and is Omniscient. However, He is still a Man sitting on the right hand of the throne of God; and as such, He has a finite human brain (Just as He did when He spoke Mark 13:32). But I believe...

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

Mat 13:41, The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Mat 13:42, And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Mat 13:49, So shall it be at the end of the...

Christians and the Law of Moses

Of course, Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:20 tell us that no one can be justified by law-keeping; but that a man is only justified through the faith of Jesus Christ...which I will translate as appropriating His shed blood to your life by faith. Most assuredly, if a person is redeemed through faith...

Christians and the Law of Moses

By the law of course (Romans 3:19-20). Sorry for butting in.

    Regarding Believers

I don't really have what might be identified as a "point of view"... But when I make my answers I write them with holy scripture in mind; not with any personal point of view in mind. Of course I have a pov concerning many scripture passages, that I believe is based on exegesis and study of...
