Has anyone here ever read this document?

Well, it is just exactly that generalization I shy from. I find I have no idea what is meant when it says I am to "believe in the communion of Saints." Frankly, that can mean almost anything.

I hope I never find myself believing everything a particular denomination teaches. I don't even agree with everything the Major Creeds state.

Actually, that just might kick me in the butt enough to take a closer look at my beliefs. Most insane people also think that only what they believe is right, while the rest of the world has to be wrong.

Putting aside personal egos is not always the same as seeing our "pride of being a __________ ." (Fill in the Denomination of your choice.)

Yes, us "anti-Catholics" meeting, by his friendly invitation, with the Pope. (Do you ever stop to think for even a moment before you type?)

I don't think the "opinion" of an old man on a forum full of equally undistinguished people could really out-class anything all those learned leaders came up with. But, in a nutshell, I might say to church leaders, "Swallow your pride, Everyone."

You are so confused, you couldn't even discuss The Vineyard if your life depended upon it.

Please try to control your outbursts of your own ignorance, and take a moment to look up who actually was the founder of The Vineyard. And, BTW, my church affiliation is clearly specified in my Signature. Always has been.

The group of people with whom I assemble is called "The Vineyard Fellowship". And I have to chuckle at the defiant defenses of divergent groups I see here, since almost all of our group is composed of surviving refugees who escaped from many of those very same denominations.

Does anyone else think we're close to America collapsing?

Agenda 21, is it not just what the Bible spoke of about building bigger barns?

I don't know. I doubt if they wanted to go that far. But, I do believe they were smart enough to see that the way we are now going is not God's will, and that we had best try to rectify the mess we have made of things with our destructive divisions.

Another version that I have come to feel is more truthful to the original meaning than most, puts those same verses this way: Jesus Brings Fire to the Earth 49 “I have come to set the earth on fire. And how I long for every heart to be already ablaze with this fiery passion for God! 50 But first...

have you ever been to jw Memorial

Well, I have to say, THAT was not what I meant, at all. The act is spiritual and serious, but in no way do I think the bread or wine/juice is "magical." As a child, you were just eating a snack.

I happen to think the intent is a good thing, and something God set forth for us to try and accomplish in our living. "Get along with all men." "There is no Jew or Gentile, etc." The parable of the Good Samaritan, et al. We have almost made a religion about breathing the fire of "Them and Us."

have you ever been to jw Memorial

To be flatly honest with you, I consider there to be some serious healing power in that Memorial (The Lord's Supper, or Communion, or Eucharist... as different denominations refer to it.). And I would not just play around with it as though it was nothing more than a church ritual I was expected...

Isn't that fact, alone, enough to show you that THOSE are not the kids you need to hang with?

I think the desperate hope of not having to endure a life like that of dismal destitution is part of the reason that the giddy idea of an "escape pod" of a "Rapture" has become so popular.

The only good thing about being 73 is that I will not have to endure what is coming for so many young people. And it will be that way for a good part of their lives.
