The Rapture and the Tribulation - Short

What are the main events that they would agree on? I'm not even sure that's the case. No offense to your pastor, but I think that is lame. Especially for a pastor. I believe it is meant to be understood or else it wouldn't have been written. I'm okay with someone saying they just don't know...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

I'm talking about what you said in post 799. You only referenced wars or mass genocide events that were in relatively close proximity to Jerusalem. Do you think Jesus was only talking about wars and rumors of wars that would be relatively close to Jerusalem or about wars and rumors of wars...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

I agree. So, "you" in that passage refers to all believers at that time and ever since then to be ready for Jesus's return, right? I see Matthew 24:6 similarly. Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

Sure, but I don't see where Jesus said the wars and rumors of wars would all be between Israel and other nations. He just said it would be nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom. Since you think the context of Matthew 24:14 is literally the whole world, why are you trying to limit...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

So, who are "ye" or "you" in this passage... Matthew 24:42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his...

Premillennialism contradicts scripture (1 Corinthians 15:50-54) by having mortal flesh and blood inheriting the kingdom of God when Jesus returns.

Paul made it very clear that mortal flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 15:50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

You expect me to answer your question while you don't answer mine. I already told you why in that post. I said... "Because no one knew the day or hour of His coming and the end of the age (Matt 24:36, Matt 25:13), so, for all anyone knew, it could occur in their lifetimes." So, with that being...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

Because He wanted not just the disciples, but all believers in all nations, to be aware that they should expect to be persecuted when preaching the gospel. 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. So, that is part of the reason. But, also, what...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

Because no one knew the day or hour of His coming and the end of the age (Matt 24:36, Matt 25:13), so, for all anyone knew, it could occur in their lifetimes. Why would the disciples be troubled about wars and rumors of wars and such happening in other nations in relation to the time when...

    Can a tare become saved?

So, you're just going to ignore John 5:22, which says the Father gives all judgment to the Son? John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: And you're just going to ignore Matthew 25:31-46 which depicts both believers and unbelievers standing before...

    Can a tare become saved?

As was pointed out to you already, all people will stand before Jesus to be judged, with believers being placed on His right hand side and unbelievers on His left hand side, as shown in Matthew 25:31-46. All judgment has been given to the Son. John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath...

The Jerusalem which is above is the heavenly city of promise which God has prepared for His saints

I don't deny that the new heavens and new earth are created, but it's in the sense of the current heavens and earth being recreated and changed and not a case of entirely new heavens and a new earth being created out of nothing. So, you ignore the meaning of the Greek word for "changed" then...

The Four Stages of Mankind's Redemption:

This is what people do when they have no answers. I pity you that you are not willing to repent of your lies. You have major issues. You deny that the new covenant is currently in effect, despite the fact that it is the only means by which someone can be saved because it's the new covenant of...

    Can a tare become saved?

The context of "the measure of faith" is only in relation to believers, but it has nothing to do with the saving faith we put in Christ that results in salvation, but rather relates to the measure of faith and ability each person needs to use whichever spiritual gifts they are given, which...

The Four Stages of Mankind's Redemption:

LOL. If it's so easy, then why do you misinterpret so much scripture? Why do you not take the explanation of what the new covenant is all about in Hebrews 8 to 10 literally? When a verse says that the new covenant WAS ESTABLISHED by the blood of Christ, you don't accept that because it doesn't...

The Four Stages of Mankind's Redemption:

I don't say that is plain text, though, and you are saying that I say the plain text that Paul wrote needs to be reinterpreted. No, I do not say that. You are the one who says that is plain text in Jeremiah 31, not me. But, the explanation of what it means is written plainly in Hebrews 8 to 10...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

Yes, I know that, and I'm not saying otherwise. That's beside the point I'm making. Why reference things that were going on in other nations in relation to a coming local event at all? What was the purpose of that? You can't say those things were the beginning of the end of Jerusalem. How does...

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

Why would they be deceived by things happening in other parts of the world? What would those things say about the event that was going to happen in Jerusalem? I don't see how that makes any sense.

When did the 2nd temple literally initially cease being the holy place?

I don't think you're reading what I'm saying carefully. I'm saying that the word "telos" refers to the actual last moment of something while "the end of the world/age" can include the last moments that lead up to and include the actual last moment of something. That is true. So, there is no real...

The Jerusalem which is above is the heavenly city of promise which God has prepared for His saints

Something being called new can refer to something that has been renewed. Born again believers are called "a new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17) in a spiritual sense, but that doesn't mean our souls and/or spirits are annihilated and replaced with new souls and/or spirits.
