    Can a tare become saved?

So just anyone can join your church? An unrepentant openly drunkard can become a church member? How about an atheist? Can a group of them join your church and be allowed to have discussions with other members about why God doesn’t exist?

    Can a tare become saved?

He’s not rooting for some to be unsaved but it’s not impossible for God to call a group of people tares that He knows will never accept Jesus as savior. And since that is a possibility claiming all things are possible with God has no bearing on the parable. I do accept that. I just don’t call...

    Can a tare become saved?

What about allowing tares to grow with wheat? What does that mean? I wouldn’t think that means allowing unrepentant tares to join a church.

    Can a tare become saved?

So you are saying it’s impossible for God to call a group of people tares that He knows will never accept Jesus as savior? I thought all things are possible with God.

    Can a tare become saved?

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Since all things are possible with God, we know it’s possible to have a scenario where a tare will never be...

    Can a tare become saved?

Yea, absolutely. Also I looked at all the parables this morning and non of the other parables are interpreted using an untrue physical reality. The parable of the tares would be the only place that I can find where a parable might be interpreted that way.

    Can a tare become saved?

Right, but you have the tares being allowed to “grow together” <4885> to grow together, increase together. Where does Paul allow the 1 Corinthians 5:11 list to increase together with believers? Answer, nowhere. We are to be separated from them.

    Can a tare become saved?

Here’s what Paul has to say … 1 Corinthians 5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a...

    Can a tare become saved?

Ok, I take it you would allow another individual who commits similar acts as Hitler did to continue in your church. Then let’s use the example of murder. Should we allow a serial killer to continue on in our community, grow together with us, and attend our churches? That person would be...

    Can a tare become saved?

Well should we have just let him continue on with his atrocities and grow together with the wheat?
  11. G

    Can a tare become saved?

So if someone was openly fornicating and openly drinking without any intention of quitting, you would welcome and tolerate that behavior in your church simply because that person is a tare and should grow together with you?

    Can a tare become saved?

Ok, so I guess we made a mistake in WWII when we fought against Hitler. It was unbiblical for us to engage in that war, we should’ve just let him continue killing Jews. Come on, get serious, as a Christian we all know it was right to put an end to that atrocity and not let him grow together...

    Can a tare become saved?

Was Hitler a tare? Should we have let him grow together with us until the harvest?
  14. G

    Can a tare become saved?

I would say no, I think we all agree that tares closely resemble wheat, at least for a while, which would imply if one examines themselves during that time they also would have a difficult time telling the difference. And there is Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew...

    Can a tare become saved?

1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. If a tare can’t be excommunicated then a tare can’t represent...

    Can a tare become saved?

Well, in our physical reality, tares never grow up to become wheat, that’s a fact. No matter how much you fertilize, water, and nurture that tare it’s not going to become wheat. But it seams some people are so sure they have the correct interpretation of the parable that they are willing to...

    Can a tare become saved?

OT Israel was enlightened, tasted of the heavenly gift, were partakers of the Holy Ghost, tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come. I think the problem is that you don’t recognize the new covenant as the age that was to come and I do. Well, I don’t want to get into an...
  18. G

    Can a tare become saved?

That is what that passage says. You’re trying to make it say a person can lose their salvation and that’s impossible under the new covenant. They were observing repentance through the old covenant. When the validity of that covenant ended and they rejected Jesus and the new covenant, it was...

    Can a tare become saved?

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance...

    Can a tare become saved?

Yea, absolutely, in reality a tare can’t become wheat. A basic definition of parable that many people use is “an earthly story with a heavenly meaning”. I guess in this case if the earthly story is tares might become wheat then the heavenly meaning of the parable would be the parable itself is...
