    Can a tare become saved?

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I agree with you, I don’t think the parable is meant to convey that there is no free will, only that there are some people who are “sown” by Satan and they never become saved while at the same time there are those who are “sown” by the Son of man and they are...

    Can a tare become saved?

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance...

    Can a tare become saved?

Because all scriptures should be considered for doctrine. The parable of the tares is teaching us something, and it appears to show some conflicts that we should try to resolve. There is definitely an element of the free will vs election debate in the parable along with whether Satan is bound...

    Can a tare become saved?

Thanks for your explanation. I agree, I don’t think it’s possible for a tare to become saved. We can’t know for certain who is or isn’t a tare and we are not to judge someone else in this manner. We witness to everyone and pray for all to be saved but I think one point of the parable is that a...

    Can a tare become saved?

In Matthew 13:24-30 we have the parable of the weeds, then in verses 36-43 we have the explanation of the parable. The Amil view has Satan bound from deceiving and keeping people in darkness during a current millennium. If Satan is bound and unable to deceive then it would seem to be possible...

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

If the vessels of dishonor can become saved then is it possible for a tare (children of the wicked one) to become saved also?

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

John 8 took place under the OT before Satan was bound, Ephesians 2 takes place under the NT when Satan is bound, right?

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

No I don’t, because I believe this took place during the OT. However, you have it taking place during the NT. If the children of the wicked one can’t be saved then Satan still has the power to keep them in bondage and darkness. Do you think the children of the wicked one can be saved or not...

Yea, let me go with what @Davidpt said, you are defining Satan’s binding as a condition put on him. Is that correct? If so then that condition can’t be present when Satan sows the tares, here’s your statement on what the binding of Satan is … “It has to do with spoiling his house, destroying...

All who are not taken up to meet the Lord in the air when He comes will be left behind and killed.

Well, let’s take a look at that. In Daniel 7:13-14 the Son of man is given dominion, glory, and a kingdom. It seems pretty straightforward that Christ was given the kingdom just after the cross. In Matthew 28:18 Jesus said all power is given me in heaven and earth. This statement was made...

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

Ok, let me put it this way, Satan is bound in the bottomless pit during the millennium. Whatever that pit is, and I’m guessing it’s a spiritual place not a physical location, that is where Satan is during the millennium and Satan can’t go beyond the boundaries of the bottomless pit during the...

All who are not taken up to meet the Lord in the air when He comes will be left behind and killed.

So the servants are the apostles? I think that could fit but in the parable there are only ten servants and at least one of those servants was a wicked servant and had any authority over a city that he might have gotten removed. The twelve thrones in Matthew 19:28 doesn’t quite seen to fit with...

All who are not taken up to meet the Lord in the air when He comes will be left behind and killed.

I’ve been following this thread and I agree with how you’re looking at these things, the context of the parable of the Minas isn’t about the reward. What are your thoughts on the servants receiving authority over cities though? In the parable of the minas there are ten servants, we know the...

Matthew 13:38 but the tares are the children of the wicked one John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men Hello! Matthew 13:41 and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things...

I’m not arguing that the tares were saved, only that they were in the kingdom prior to them being purged out by the angels. The point is the same old covenant field was sown by Jesus and Satan. You have Satan in the bottomless pit during the new covenant so how do you suppose he would...

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

This points to a harvest occurring in 70AD, the end of the old covenant age, when the old decaying covenant finally vanished. How do you explain the present tense verb Jesus used in the parable about Him sowing? Right, that’s why the kingdom was purged of the tares. Nobody could be saved by...

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

They got in just as Matthew 23:13 says … Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. The tares were sown into His field which could only...

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

Prior to the gospel being preached, prior to the cross, people entered into the kingdom through the old covenant rules. That is how the tares got into the kingdom, after the cross the new covenant came into force and the only way to enter the kingdom from then on was by water and Spirit.

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. In this verse we have the kingdom be taken from the chief priest and Pharisees. Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for...

The end of the world, as taught by Christ, separates the wicked from the just at the harvest, and it is coming for you.

Matthew 13:41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, The angels gather out of His kingdom, so somehow the tares got into His kingdom without being born of water and Spirit. Wouldn’t it make...
